On May 31st, 2024, in Cocoa Beach, Florida, officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop near North Atlantic Avenue and Astor Drive. Actually 10-22. Hello. Hi. THE VEHICLE, OCCUPIED BY TWO WOMEN from Fort Lauderdale, refused to stop. Instead, it sped off, turning through side streets before stopping on a dead-end road. Both suspects, later identified as Stephanie Richards and Demi Dussart, jumped out and ran. They fled on foot into a nearby neighborhood. Officers quickly began searching the area. Moments later, they spotted the two women near a residential street and initiated a foot pursuit. Backup units closed in, cutting off escape routes.
