On May 19th, 2022, officers were alerted by the elementary school that a child claimed her aunt had a baby in a box at home, causing officers to investigate further. Police department. Yes. Okay, I guess she went to school and said you have a baby in a box. What? What? Yeah. What? She told the school counselor that there's a baby in a box in the house. She She's talking about my sister's baby that she had a miscarriage. Is it like an urn or something? You know, like a jewelry box. Yeah, but it's it's okay. Yeah, and she My sister had it hanging up right here, but the kids was touching it, so she moved it. Okay, so your sister had a miscarriage. Yes. Did the whole funeral service and it's like a memorial type of box or she have a No, she I don't know why. She just put it in a box. I don't her I don't know. How old was How far along was she? She was only like 4 months. This this are the her Eddie Kennedy talking about Did she go to the the hospital when she had the miscarriage? No, I was there. So, okay. Yeah, they they had Kennedy at the school talking about how I have a baby in the said that TT TT have a baby in the back Is that your sister or is that my TT you're talking dude right here. Okay, so you guys had a miscarriage. Yeah. And you guys are just keeping the baby in like a memorial box. It's She was only about what? Three three months maybe. Okay. Yeah, it ain't nothing like like that. It's really like in the little box like Yeah, I mean that three months they're not very big. It's like Yeah, that's why she put it in like a little jewelry box Okay. All right. Um I I got to give my I'll give my sergeant call let them know what's going on but I I don't see I don't know what we would even do with this. Like if there's anything to even be done like in this she cuz what? Y'all still got the box? Yeah, it's been dead about 2 years now. 2 years now? Yeah. All right. So So this gentleman here and his uh girlfriend her sister had a miscarriage 2 years ago and they've been keeping the the baby in like a memorial box and that's what the girl is talking about. Yeah, cuz that was the only thing cuz they did used to keep it right here on the fireplace. they It was on the fireplace on display and then it the kids were playing with it so now they they moved it talking about the school. So Cuz at first they had at first they had the baby in the the What's that? I said I said first they had it like buried in the backyard, the little jewelry box. Mhm. Uh-huh. But I don't know I don't know why they Somebody dug it up. So, I just wanted to know what it was. All right. Okay. Well, second grade, is that what you're saying? Yeah. And they They just They say anything, you know what I mean? Yeah, that's crazy. I I I thought so. All right, well if there's anything else, I'll come back and knock on the door. Okay. So, I I understand that this is probably emotional and everything else. We just need to see the box. I I did say something. See, but the She didn't want We just opened the box. The baby not in the box. Okay. I don't know. We couldn't find it. I think the dog chewed it up chewed it up. No. Yeah. I broke down when I cuz the date was gone. Cuz that is the box the baby was in for sure. You could tell. I I said he he he literally just brought it to me like, "Look." And opened it. And then I'm like, "What the hell?" Okay. Okay. What's the matter? They wanted to see the proof that the baby So, essentially we just have to ensure that, you know, the the didn't make it the full term. You know, with with the the you know, her going and saying that you guys have a baby in the box, we just have to ensure that it was not an actual That's understandable. So, that it's obviously, you know, it is what it is and you know, we're def- I'm definitely sorry for you guys' loss. I know it's hard. So, and it it's something that's probably doesn't want to be drug up. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding and maybe have a talk with your daughter when she comes home. Like I mean, again again, like I mean, if you come out and it was a big old shoe box and like something like that, then that'd be a you know, Yeah, that's definitely going to be investigated. And then that sort of thing, but you know, obviously, that's you know, if it was in that's the box it was in, then said you got a picture. So. Yeah, we got a picture. That's what I said, they cuz the baby was buried in the backyard at first and then Eddie said somebody dug it up. It's probably the dog. It was up here in the backyard. It was my brother's dog, but he just came and got his dog. I mean, yeah, I To be honest, it's probably the dog that dug it up. It probably smelled it and dug it up. So, the dog probably dug up the baby. The dog probably dug up the baby. I think that was That [ __ ] was in my old um It's okay, man. It's I mean, if that's the really was in that box though. Okay, I I believe you guys. And I mean, obviously, no actual baby's going to fit in that box. Right. You know what I mean? Like I mean, I'm we're going to use some ex- I'm going to exercise some common sense on this. Right. I appreciate you guys' cooperation, your understanding and again, I know it's emotional and it's dragging up a lot of bad memories, so I appreciate it and hopefully you guys try and have a better day and like I said maybe just talk to your daughter let her know that you know you might need to either we explain more or it's just something that you know we we we pray for and just leave it at that.
