Hey, what's up? Um, I report of a neighbor mistreating a dog and I have a video um that I took. You already made a report for you'd like to make a report for us. Okay. What's going on? So, at that point, I also realized I needed to stop it, but like I'm alone. I can't really stop him. So, I opened up my garage door like I was going to water my plans. And of course, then he stopped here. So, yeah. That's why I stopped. Where's um where do you guys live? Do you know Do you know I guess do you know who this guy is? Well, um it's a rental property. He lives in the rental property next to our house. Um, and I cannot there are two men and a woman that live in the rental property and I cannot identify if it's one of the people or someone there. So, but you know that's the Okay. Are you able to send that to me? Yes. Yes. You tell me. I have your information as a witness. Yes. Or do you wish to remain anonymous? Completely up to you. Well, they're going to know it's me cuz I was like the only person. So, that's that's the kicker. Yeah, that's fine. Um, I mean, any other contact with him other than you open the garage door and he sees stolen? No, no, no. So like earlier in the day I came home I was by myself and actually so there's two dogs at the house and so I'm very friendly with the dog like they they've lived there maybe a couple of months and like the dogs come to me and we like love them up. So I I thought like oh I'll go see the dogs before I've got stuff in my hand or whatever. So I I had visited both of their dogs and um uh earlier in the day came in like you know within 45 minutes then I'm on the phone and hearing that screaming and I saw him punching the dog repeatedly which is when I pulled out the video and just started recording. Yelling's one thing. I mean even holding a dog down is one thing, but the punching is kind of what crosses the line. I'm going to take a snippet of the video and send it to the prosecutors and see if um if they're okay with me going and and citing this guy. Um but as far as I'll try to get a look at the dog and check out injuries, but it's it's unlikely that I'd be able to seize the dog. So just just throwing that out there for you guys. Um uh I can give you a call back and kind of let you know what disposition and I didn't know about like So I'm a volunteer at the Humane Society. So I also was seeing like okay I need to report this to the Humane Society. you know, when I when he came home, he said, "Let's start with the police department." And so it goes one of two ways. If we get involved, the Humane Society will not. If you contact the Humane Society, they do have their own like law enforcement. Um, and they would handle it, but if you called me, there's no need to call them because we unfortunately we don't work hand in hand. It's either one or the other. Um, it's kind of frustrating, too, because when I've called and asked for their support or their assistance in something, they would say, "Well, you've already got it started." Interesting. So, um, but yeah, I'm going to I'm going to again I'm going to take the snip of the video where he's punching the dog and if I get an okay to charge this individual, I'm I'll be down there um either today or tomorrow cuz my other thought was like I'm a mental health background. So, as I'm watching this, I'm also thinking, okay, this is someone in I feel like a mental health episode. Okay, violence too, but like yeah, like so it's that, but it also crosses a line and um and so yeah, like what do I feel like the person needs? like you know is charging him really what he needs or you know so there's I I work with a dog every single day you know dogs right yes and I understand he's saying the alpha there is there is a a you know that packed mentality when it comes to dogs but to reinforce and establish an alpha the way he did it is not the right way to do it right um so again with that being said I'm going to my first call is going to go prosecutors and see see if they can give me the go ahead to go down and okay and good enough to know you're the canine guy that's good that's helpful to you and we've also had a good relation relationship with the female there. You know, we've given her garden tools to help her do some gardening and we've had a very good relationship with her. We haven't really had a good and we have not had any real relationship with the men in the house. But with except one of them was super nice and so but I can't tell which of the two guys is there. I You own the pitbull. Um at least that happened yesterday. We had an incident yesterday where our friend What was that? You punching the pit. I could play this as long as you need me to. Okay, you're you're good. Okay. Yeah. Um I am going to be filing charges against you for this. Okay. I need to take the pickle with me right now, though. No, he's mine. I have to take the pickle. He's mine. Please don't. Is there any way Let me Let me explain real quick before we go into [ __ ] There is a process to go about getting the dog. You will you will have to um actually go to a hearing at court. Okay. Oh my god. Okay. All right. Listen. Listen. It is what it is. I know I blacked out and I I Yeah, you went extreme. I went extreme. Me and him had our own tiffs. He bit me and we we had our own tiffs, but okay. I know I up. But responsibility for that. I am going to take the dog with me. I'm going to bring you documentation of on when this when this hearing will be and how to how to get this hearing set up as far as the same dog we we had the other day right before. Yeah. He's is he friendly? He's the most friendliest of dogs except for when he wants I have leaves all over the all over the bed. So I took him outside to wash his paws and Oh, is that what was going on? And so I sat on top of him and when I was washing his paws, he turned around, bit me in the face, [ __ ] scratched me. Yeah. So I blacked out. I do take responsibility for it. Appreciate that. At least 100%. It's Yeah, cuz that it it's not good. I know that I saw that video and actually cuz I was here the other day. Yeah. And I didn't know. I saw I'm like, man, that guy is upset. And then I then he told me where it was. I'm like, wait, I was just there. So, I remember you upset with all that. Uh, I honestly have no idea. This is his uh this his call. I'm just here just to help help here. Yeah, he looks happy though. Yeah, and again the other day he was he seemed nice. How long have you had him? We've had him for a month, two months. I thought he was new to you. He's 7 years old. He just lost his balls. He's still temperamental. He still doesn't like to This is your place. Don't bite me. Where'd you get him from? We got him from one of her friends who was Okay. She was getting or he was getting rid of him and needed a safe place to go. I mean, I knew up and I I knew something like this was Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Like I I even came to yesterday was like, "What the [ __ ] did I just do?" Yeah. Cuz I can see you were you were pretty angry. What about How's this dog? Is this dog? He literally looked at me and after I punched him in the head, he looked at me like I was Well, I mean the black the black dog black dog just came up front up here. Okay. How long have you had Raven? I've had almost four years. Okay. Hey buddy, this is the first time dealing with a pit bull. Oh yeah. Like how to deal with it. I don't understand how to to raise a pitle or take care of a pitle. I've been bitten by a dog before when I was 12 years old. Yeah. And that was the most terrifying ever. For the record, not actually wasn't going to kill him. It was like I understand the video says that. Yeah. But if you're if I'm on like there's a process, but since I know I'm on dash cam record right now, I do want to state that I had no intention of killing him. No intention of hurting him. Did black out. Okay. came to realize up knew something like this was going to happen. Kind of expecting you guys to just I I just have to say something here real quick. I've been a K9 dealer for the last 6 years. Dogs can be very frustrating. I never once thought about punching my dog in the face ever. Ever. There's a right way and a wrong way. And some wrong decisions were made. I appreciate you saying what you're saying, but again, it happened. Yes, there's consequences for that. Yes, there is. Um, he's going to be cared for, like I explained to her. Um, as opposed to taking him to Humane Society, we're going to go to River City Rescue. Okay. Okay. They they're phenomenal. They come out, they help out all all the time with dogs. Um, that's fair. They're they're good people. Um, they're going to hold on. Better than what I what I expressed with him yesterday. Well, and that again, that's that's a nice little incident. I don't know you as a person. All I know is what happened in this snippet. I know of a video that was anonymously turned in. So, um, you know, Smoky's birthday. Um, we don't know his birthday. When is it? October. What year? 24. 15. 2015. Yes. October 15. Okay. October. October of 2015. October of Okay, I got you. Oh, wait. October 15. We had to create a birthday for him cuz we don't know which is what he's November 15th and he's 7 years old. Okay. I thought I was 22. I've never had full pix red nose and I don't never had a pickle before and I 100% lost. Okay. Um, so on top of this goes, um, there is a criminal charge for this. Okay? I'm not putting handcuffs or anything like that today. Uh, it it didn't occur right now. Um, but it's an offense that I can't just write you a ticket for. I have to actually put a warrant out. Okay? Now, what that means is a bench warrant. Correct. Meaning, so if I get in a traffic violation, then I will be taken to then you'd be put in handcuffs. However, it's in your control. I go to the courthouse and take care of it myself. Perfect. I've been through this been through this before. Not this type of Yeah. So, just just fair warning. Um, Stoke court, right? Stoke court. So, I would say um man, I'm kind of slammed. I don't know if I'll get all the paperwork done today, but probably by tomorrow, I will submit paperwork. I wouldn't expect the court to get that until Monday. Okay. I can I can call you. Um or if you just want to plan, I would say even for maybe for Tuesday, Wednesday. Okay. Early as possible. As early as possible. Usually it be like 8:00 at like 8:30. Okay. Um we're going to have our our animal control help transport and uh this is tough. This is tough. This is acceptable consequences to it. I I appreciate your cooperation with this. This is going better than I thought it would be. Hey, I know I'd be seen that video, but again, that's I would hope that that's not who you are regularly. No. No. It honestly it brought me back to when I was 12. I got bit in the face by Robiler when I was getting busy school. Yeah. And that was the most terrifying experience. And literally when he came around, he hit me in the face, which obviously not that that's not going to catch you. But he turned around, hit me in the face, and I take responsibility for the blackout. I still did it. Yeah, it is what it is. You're not seeing anything. Um about to show up now. Question is it go for it. Is this charge a misdemeanor charge? It's a misdemeanor. Um trying to stay out of the film. Householder heads uh by by definition in the law are considered companion animals. Yes. If I had done that to Raven, who is a service animal, that would be a conservative fail. Not still. Still still a misdemeanor. Okay. Well, I I was just there's different levels of misdemeanors. Used to be a lower offense misdemeanor. However, it's been a couple years they re they they reconstru all these companion animal laws and made them stricter offenses, more higher misdemeanors. So, it's it is a it is a misdemeanor in the first degree. That's okay. I respect that. It's the same process whether it was a low one or a high one. You know, 100% agree. I and I respect the fact that they they up the they did um consequences. Is there uh you let him chill for a minute? Do you got any other You got Let's talk, please. Uh so it's a misdemeanor, correct? Um does he have to go? Is he getting arrested? Not today. We just We just talked about this. No, we just Yeah, you're good. I'll be going to court on Tuesday. I'll be there by 8:30. Okay. Yep. It'll be It's an M1 charge. Okay. Yep. Okay. Um, I have to get you the paperwork as far as it's going to probable cost. Basically, all you would have to go as the owner is basically say explain the case and and you have to tell the judge why you need that dog insurance. Okay. Um, and again, I don't I don't know either of you guys. I'm basing everything that I'm doing here off this video. Um, I explained I've been I've been a K9 for the last several years. Yep. Okay. Um, it'll be taken care of. Again, I I explained to you inside, but we're not going to the main society. It's just kennels on kennels. We're going to an actual rescue. They're not accurate. And they're they're good people. Like, they were willing to come out here right away. right now. We'll talk to you guys first. Um, as far as the paperwork, I get I have to get you guys about this probable cause here. Are you going to be here the rest of the day? Yes. Um, so if I license for just 3 days ago, you just have a license, but I just got over 3 days ago. I've been trying to get the money to do it. I just got the money to get him license today. Yeah. Okay. So, that's that's paperwork you'd want to compile, get together, purchase, and I'm sure there's got to be some kind of paper trail about the purchase. You get them from a friend um or a rescue, anything like that. Just got them from someone that was sponsored, right? Yeah. Okay. All right. Anything just to show, you know, ownership of the dog. You want to get that with you, but um I have to get the the paperwork as far as the the probable cause hearing from the court. So, when they give that to me, um either today or tomorrow, I will drop it off to you. And then it's that should lay out how to go about this process uh to schedule this hearing. Okay. So again, we want to keep it as I don't I don't know pits. I don't you know some are like Yeah. So So you tell what you helped us load him in the truck? Yeah. He was he was nice when we had him the other day. He hopped right in the car and he's right. You were here and helped me find him the other day, right? Yeah. Yeah.
