this it's this is my vehicle this is your vehicle around 10:49 p.m. on September 21st 2023 patrolman Sean Edson with the township of ocean Police Department responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident on bendir new near Lake Drive as he arrived on scene was informed that the driver of a 2018 Audi Q3 had struck a 2021 Jeep which subsequently struck the 2020 Chevy that was parked in front of it the two other vehicles were unoccupied at the time of the accident the Audi had sustained severe frontend damages and the airbags had deployed patroman Edson proceeded to make contact with the driver of the Audi who was identified as Clarissa Marx okay are you guys involveed at all no no just my car live here your car got hit the Jeep crashed in my car okay and Je is the girl that lives here so mine's the mine's the white right here okay on scooters kids on some need to hook for a white Audi SUV 10 113 plates attach when you're ready ma'am just sit in the vehicle stand there for me okay can I speak to you back here for a minute patrolman Edson asked Clarissa where she was coming from and whether she had been drinking Clarissa told the officer that she was heading home from Stella Marina in Asbury Park and she admitted to drinking wine before driving based on his suspicion of parment patroman Edson asked Clarissa to perform field sobriety exercises where you coming from tonight I was coming from Sal Marina Sal Marina okay have you anything to drink at all yeah I a few L of M now a few glasses of wine you know how many you have I have yeah I told you I had few glass of okay and you were coming from C Marina and then after C Marina I went to deart I want here okay what what exactly happened tonight how did you end up here I liveed down the street from here okay horizontal gaze nystagmus hgn test and he observed the lack of smooth Pursuit distinct and sustained nagus at maximum deviation and the onset of nagus prior to 45° he also observed vertical nagas the second field sobriety exercise was the walk and turn test during the walk and turn test Clarissa claimed to have balance issues and failed to complete the test despite multiple attempts the last field sobriety exercise was the one leg stand test during this exercise Clarissa began swaying and did not count as instructed to do so she was ultimately unable to complete this test as well so I want you I want you to look at the tip of my pen all right I want you to follow with your eyes and your eyes only okay you injured at all do you have anything medically wrong with your eyes no okay stand there right from Heel To Toe count one two 3 four 5 until you get to nine and then once you turn around keep your foot planted together all right once again with your right foot in front of your left two 3 4 5 6 7 and so on until you get to nine on an imaginary line right I want you to stand back here before you start okay you understand those instructions okay so I want you to put your do you me to demonstrate that again for you no which that in front of what it's your right foot in front of your left like it's imaginary line one 2 3 4 5 and so on until you get to nine right keep your foot planted once again in front 1 2 3 4 5 until you get to 9 turn around and walk back do you understand right just put your your right foot in front of your left keep your hands at your side all right right base on the motor vehical Collision her admission to consuming alcohol and her inability to adequately complete the field sobriety exercises patrolman Edson placed Clarissa under arrest for driving Under the Influence her vehicle was impounded for a mandatory 12-hour hold under John's law and Clarissa was transported to the township of ocean Police Department for further processing turn around any valuables in the need to get out your purse in your wallet you don't have one or do you have any identification on you 3 one female 41 450 the reason why your car gets I don't want to lose a lot of stuff can you do me a favor can you get three information on all three of these vehicles for me I think he's doing it I'm cuz it looks like I have one two three involved here there's three finished with processing Clarissa she was released to a friend he signed the potential shared Lighty warning form on her behalf patroman Edson issued her the following summonses operating Under the Influence consent to taking samples of breath refusal to submit to chemical breath test reckless driving and careless driving I don't get it I just don't and wherever she was coming right down the street she said it's sad well she's going to deal with her problems she's got now so all right okay Officer all right take care good luck all right good night you too make sure your car is locked if
