He's done stabbed me, like. Yeah, cuz he's done it before. He grabbed him and then he like put him on my shoulder and then kept putting pressure until like I moved his like his hand off. >> a mark on your shoulder? On August 7th, 2024, a deputy responding to a laundromat in Ocala found a man sitting outside bleeding from his face with bite marks on his neck and nowhere else to go. By the time the full picture came together, a simple parking lot dispute had spiraled into a violent attack and the suspect had already been I got beat up by my boyfriend. So bad? Yeah, kind of. Yeah. Okay. Okay. You mind if I take a picture of that? Yeah, it's like some bite marks on the back of my neck. >> Some bite marks? >> Yeah. All right. Let me get into what happened and then we'll break it down in just a second. Oh, my phone's all fogged up. Hang on. All right. So, you guys are at the Pilot with the Wendy's. Mhm. I'm just kind of going over the details. >> the Arby's sign. Got some bite marks on the back. Where were you when he was gone, by the way? Um I don't know. Uh I know that both of his parents live in the Shores. Um but yeah, we were off of exit 358 at the Pilot. Um he could be anywhere around town, honestly. You guys are homeless? Yeah. Okay. And you live out of the car, both of you guys? Yeah. Okay, but he's got parents over there, but he could be anywhere for all we know. Yeah. Anybody out of town that you know of? Just everybody's in Ocala that he knows? Yeah. Okay. All right. Let's start from the beginning. You guys are Let's I'll just let you talk. Um can you tell me what happened from the beginning? >> Woke up I uh What time? At like 4:00. I was supposed to be to work at 5:00. I woke up, I went into the Pilot and then I came out and he started fussing at me and we're arguing and stuff. About what? >> Uh How long I took in the bathroom. Okay. So, um we come out and then he's fussing and hollering at me that he threw my stuff out of his car, picked my stuff up and he's telling me to to leave and all that other stuff. So, I try to get away and he starts following me. So, then I'm trying to run from him and then >> foot? >> Yeah, on foot. >> Okay. >> at Pilot and um ran across the the highway and everything and then like he catches up to me and then he's just like kind of forcing me to get back in the car. So, then cuz I have to get to work this morning. So, I'm like, "Okay, well, whatever. I'll just get in the car so I can at least get to work." So, then we do that and then he doesn't take me to work. He takes me to that Circle K up there. He's like steady talking [ __ ] to me. He like he's just like The Circle The Circle K on 326? Off 354. Okay. So, while driving, did he use a closed fist to hit you? Yeah. Yeah? Was that open hand like Closed fist. >> Just a closed fist? Like the inside of the So, we're we're driving and he's just doing >> and he's just like and then he stops and he's like hitting you with the other hand like Okay. And you said he hit you with a cell phone, too? Yeah. Probably time to Yeah. I've been I've been trying to get away, but it's just like I'm homeless. So, it's like I didn't want to kind of like be asked out, but you know, kind of get out when you can, I guess. You got all your clothes and stuff out of the car? >> have all my stuff. The deputy found him outside already bleeding. The swelling around his eye, a laceration through his eyebrow, bite marks on his neck. He said he had been living out of a car with his boyfriend, but that car was now gone. As the deputy documented the injuries, he explained it started around 4:00 a.m. An argument at a Pilot that quickly escalated. His belongings were thrown out. He tried to walk away, but Daniel's followed and forced him back into the car saying it was the only way he'd make it to work. It wasn't. While driving, he was a closed fist hit hit um side of your head. Do you know the address that his parents live at? Oh, um I don't know the exact address. Uh I think it's like 15 Spring Court. And then I don't know the house number, but I think his dad lives on like Emerald Road or something like that. So, he drove you down Gainesville Road and then stops into there. >> Mhm. So, in between the Pilot with the Wendy's and the Marathon there on Gainesville Mhm. is when he's punching you. Then stops in there to talk more [ __ ] to you. >> Mhm. Okay. And then what happened? >> that's when like this happened. Okay. >> I was supposed to How'd you get here? He dropped me off here. He didn't want to leave me at the Circle K. He said that he was trying to make me lose my job and he I wasn't going to be able to go to >> I I don't have cell phone service. I don't have a phone right now. You want to call them? Um I already called out. >> let them know that you're you're going to be late? Uh I I can't go in. I Uh I already called out on the app, so there's nothing else that I can do about that right now. So, All right. Well, as long as they're I'll probably still get fired, but I mean, if you need me to explain Uh I would like a a copy of a police report. >> Yeah, I'll give you the police report. Um if you need a deputy to explain to them, "Hey, look, he just went through a domestic incident, you know, not really his fault that he's late today." Yeah. We're more than welcome to help you out with that. You know what I mean? If I don't want to see you lose your job over something like this. Yeah. I'm going to definitely be giving you a police report. Once they were back in the car, the hitting started. Closed fist to the face, closed fist to the back of the head. Daniel's drove south on Gainesville Road punching him while behind the wheel. He stopped at a Marathon gas station and kept going. Both hands now. The victim covered his face with his arms. That's when Daniel's crossed the center console and bit him behind the ear, under the ear. He never made it to work. Daniel's drove past his job deliberately, then dropped him at a laundromat miles away. No phone service, no way to call out. He sat outside bleeding waiting for someone to arrive. He just wanted a police report. Real quick while I got you. Um What did you You said he tried to come after you with scissors. Did he Did he like actively try to stab you with them or did he Was he just like Like no, like he was he was going to stab me, like >> He was? >> Yeah, cuz he's done it before. You know what I mean? I know what you're saying, he's done it before. I'm saying like tonight, did he like grab them and like lunge at you with them or like what did he What did he do specifically? >> he grabbed them and then he like put them on my shoulder and then kept putting pressure until like I moved his like his hand off. >> on your shoulder? I don't think so. Okay. So, he kind of like put them there and you tried to get them off. >> got them off and then like that's when like he started like hitting me in the face and then I covered my face and then that's when he started biting me in the back of my head and all. Okay. Did he Did he do anything else with the scissors? I'm asking you this for a reason. >> Yeah, no. Nothing Nothing. >> So, just basically he put it to your skin and then kind of put a little pressure to it. >> Yeah. Okay. Then came the scissors. Daniel's grabbed a pair and pressed them into his shoulder harder and harder until he knocked them away. He said Daniel's threatened to stab him in the chest. It had happened before. The moment he got the scissors off him, Daniel's went back to hitting, then started biting again. All right. Daniel's out in front of my 90 buck. I'm going to drop you, okay? Understand? Apparently, your boyfriend called us. All right. What boyfriend? What boyfriend? You don't have one. You don't have one. That's personal. Where are you going? All right. I'll transfer cars and you guys can get out of here. All right. We're going to thank you. Okay. Mr. Daniel's, how are you doing? Fine. How are you? What's going on? Uh did you guys read him yet? No. Read it? No. All right. I got to ask you some questions, but before I ask you those questions, have you ever been in trouble before? No. With the law? Okay. You've heard of >> going through a court case right now. I have a court case for >> 10 tomorrow. For what? Marijuana. Were you smoking tonight? No. Oh, they said the car smells like So, I'm asking. I'm not trying to get you in trouble for Yeah. Oh, what happened? If you were smoking, it's not illegal to be high. It's just I was just asking. >> No, I'm not. I don't smoke. All right. Give me a second. I'm going to I'm just going to read you these. They probably read you this last time. Um just before I ask you any questions that are incriminating, I have to ask you these questions, okay? The first uh is you have the right to remain silent. Anything that you say can and will be used against you in the court of law. You have the right to talk to a lawyer and have him or her present with you while you're being questioned. If you cannot afford to hire a lawyer, one will be appointed to represent you before any questioning if you wish. You can decide at any time to exercise these rights not answering any questions or make any statements. Do you understand those rights? Yes. Okay. Having those rights in mind, do you wish to talk to me about what happened tonight? Yes. And then you said something about a a fender or something like that earlier. Hm? Like mobile defender or something. That what you said? No, no, no. Okay. Okay. Daniel's hadn't gone far. Ocala police located him nearby and held him until a deputy could make the transfer. When the deputy approached, Daniel's was calm. He agreed to talk. Before the Miranda rights were even finished, he denied having a boyfriend at all. You said you wanted to talk to me about the incident that happened tonight. So, let's let's back up. Um you guys were hanging out at the Pilot with the Wendy's. Is that where you guys are living out of a car or something like that? >> No, we were at the one with the Arby's. The Arby's? Okay. >> Arby's. Okay. So, what Start from the beginning. What happened? Okay. So, basically, I have to take him to work every morning. All right. This morning, I woke up, he was gone. The last couple of days we've been having an issue with him like talking to other people, seeing other people behind my back and stuff. Every time I drop him off, he goes to see other people and stuff. >> Okay. I don't like stuff like that cuz that's how diseases and stuff catch and catch diseases. Understand? So, this morning he decided to take it upon himself to go and do the same thing with with somebody. And I didn't like that. Okay. I don't >> think he was cheating on you or something? Yeah, that's what he was doing with someone else. >> you guys been together? Uh 4 months. Okay. About 3 4 months. He's been here 3 4 months. Okay. So he runs off with another gentleman. Okay. Um and you didn't like that. No. >> All right. So what happened after that? We just started arguing. Just verbally? Yes, verbally. He started pushing me. I told him not to push me. After he pushed me, we just started fighting. Okay. So we just started fighting. >> And then he was like, "You take me to work." I was like, "Yeah, I'll take you to work, but I'm not coming back to get you." Okay. What happened in the car on the way down there? We were arguing. Okay. Did you Where did you take him to? Right up here. Right up where? To the Spin City. Cuz he said he wanted to go to his friend's house. >> Did you stop anywhere in between there? No. We came straight here. You came straight here. Okay. You didn't stop at the Marathon or anything like that on Gainesville Road? No. You don't remember You don't remember doing that? We didn't stop nowhere over there. Okay. There's a little gas station or not a gas station. It's a little little quickie mart over there on Gainesville Road. You don't remember stopping in there? On 34th Street? >> Right by 43rd. Okay. That's fine. It's irrelevant. Um So during the drive there, what what transpired? Was there any physical back and forth or >> That's what he's trying to say. It was nothing nothing like that. All it was was arguing. There was nothing physical at all? No. He has a scar right here from his hand that he got from work. He wear like safety He gets hurt pretty much all the time at work. Okay. Well, all right. Um so you're telling me that nothing physical transpired between you and him tonight. >> He's got bite marks on his neck. Do you know where those came from? No. I got a bite mark on his Let me Let me I'll just break it down. I got I got a bite mark on his ear. Um and then his eye is swollen. And his cheek is swollen and they're both bleeding. Okay. Are you claiming that you did not have any part of that? >> nothing to do with that. And that's There's no proof of that. I didn't do anything. So like I said this morning, we got up He goes to work at 5:00. That's what time he has to be to work. Yeah. Like I said this morning, he decided to get up and >> So you were taking him to work? Yes, I take him to work every day cuz he And how did you end up at the Spin City? That's where I dropped him off at. That's where he wanted to come to cuz his phone is off. He does not have Wi-Fi. And Spin City has Wi-Fi. So you're taking him to work which is, you know, maybe a few miles away from where you guys were at the Pilot. >> Mhm. And somehow he made it all the way into the city. Yeah, because I told him I wasn't going to take him to work. That's not what he wanted to do. You weren't going to take him to work. >> No, he wanted to be with somebody else and do stuff behind my back. So I brought him up here. So you brought him here. >> With Wi-Fi. Okay. Was he wanting to come here? >> That's what he said. Or was he wanting to go to work? >> give him his stuff, he'll just sit up here and figure it out. Okay. He's 25. >> Was that after you got here or was that like on the way here? >> On the way here. Okay. Was that after you passed his job and he was already like, "Well, you're not going to take me to work. Just take me here." Yeah. Okay. So you just didn't want to take him to work. No, he told me to bring him here with Wi-Fi. Okay. All right. I got a bunch of marks on him. Um I mean, he's actively bleeding. This is fresh marks. They're not old. I know what you're talking about with the scars. Um Was there a pair of scissors in your car? Yeah, I keep scissors in my car. Okay. What did you do with those? Those are still in my car. Okay. I've been cutting paper and stuff in my car. You just cut paper? I have no use scissors for any reason in my car. Well, I understand the scissors have a use. I'm just asking you like were they involved in tonight's >> incident? No. Okay. All right. Well, the issue is is that what you're saying is it semi lines up with what he's saying, but you're not claiming that any kind of physical altercation happened and I have physical proof of a physical altercation. That doesn't mean it came from me, though. Okay. Well, you're the only one who was in the car with him, right? >> Like I said, yes. But like I said, he was with someone this morning. Okay. And was he bleeding with that person? >> know. I wasn't with them. >> Well, you were with him after he was driving down the road. You would have noticed him bleeding from the face pretty profusely. >> really looking at him. Like I said, I was upset. I wasn't talking to him. We were arguing. Okay. Well, he's claiming that you did it. Okay. He's claiming that you hit him in the face on the way to the on the purpose and took him here and then just dropped him off. >> Cuz that's not what It took place. He told me to bring him here cuz he needed Wi-Fi. Whether whether or not he told you to bring him here, I don't know what transpired between that, but I can definitely physically tell that he was hit in the face multiple times and there's definitely bite marks on his neck and then the back of his ear which appeared to line up with the whole story of what happened. If you guys got into a physical altercation, it is what it is, right? I'm not here to judge you or anything like that. Physical stuff. >> started fighting. Okay. Well, you did say that you started fighting. He pushed me. And then that's what you initially said that he pushed you and then you started fighting. Yeah. And then when I asked you if it got physical, you said it didn't get physical. There was no punching. deal for any domestic stuff like that before? No. And you guys have been together for 4 months. About about 3 4 months now. You guys are in an intimate relationship? You guys have together stuff like that? Not really, no. Not really? No. Well, the initial thing that you told me was is that you didn't like him running off with other guys cuz of the disease. >> But we're still together. Why would I want someone that I'm with that I love to be doing something like that behind my back? I mean, who would want that? Okay. He's claiming you guys are in a uh you guys were boyfriend and boyfriend. Yeah, we were together, but that doesn't mean we have a Okay. He said you have been You said you've been intimate before. Okay. Yeah. Um all right. You're under arrest tonight, okay, for domestic battery. It's with bodily harm. Um and then there was mention of uh scissors um that came into play that he felt in fear was going to be stabbed with. >> the scissors? Scissors been in my car ever since. Yeah. Well, he's first off he claimed that some of those scars on him were from the scissors from prior. Um but If that was the case, why didn't he bring them up then? >> I'm not sitting here I'm not able to prove that right now. I I'm just, you know, it is what it is. Right now I have active swelling and bleeding from his face. Okay. So that's where we're at with it. Okay. And you're claiming that nothing physical happened, but you guys got into a big fight. So something happened for sure. Okay. All right. Thank you. was over.
