Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and transported Kalala Kabal to a local hospital to be treated for injuries he sustained as a result of the officer involved shooting. After being treated, he was cleared for booking. Investigators recovered a loaded black steel 9mm semi-automatic handgun from inside the van between the driver and passenger seats and booked it as evidence. Additionally, several spent casings were also recovered at scene and also booked as evidence.
