Don't start walking yet. Okay? I just want you to stay in that position. When I say begin, what you're going to do is you're going to take nine heel to toe steps, Wayne. Okay? Okay. >> While waiting for a blood draw, [music] Wayne Wacker asked officers to recap what had happened, stating that he did not remember entering the highway or nearly [music] colliding with other vehicles. He also claimed he was unaware of Vice President Kla Harris's [music] schedule in Milwaukee and had no intent to harm anyone. Further verification revealed that Wayne had a prior AWI offense from 1,999. [music] But since more than 10 years had passed, this case was treated as a first offense under current law. Ultimately, he was charged with secondderee recklessly endangering safety felony and OWI operating while intoxicated along with over $2,700 in fines and a $15,000 bond. Three cases, three different circumstances, yet they all highlight the same reality. Once alcohol is involved behind the wheel, every mistake becomes far more dangerous. And in those moments, even a slight delay can lead to consequences that can no longer be controlled.
