On a quiet Thanksgiving afternoon in Ohio, what began as a simple traffic stop for speeding quickly turned into something much more serious. State troopers pulled over a black GMC going 20 miles over the limit. The driver claimed he was just heading to pick up his sister for the holidays, but moments later, troopers would uncover something that turned this Thanksgiving drive into a full-blown drug bust. Hello. How you doing, buddy? Driver's license is right here. What in the windshield? I noticed that when you passed me back there. Oh, uh I was uh doing some movement uh with some wood and doors. Uh-huh. So, uh it kind of cracked the windshield. Okay. Also, whenever you were coming around that curve back there, you kept drifting over the center line. Oh, yeah. So, just to be you know, like I said, to be honest with you a ahead of time, you know, cuz like I said, I just like being forward, you know what I'm saying? This my first trip. And And see, my mom, she she she had like she was already in a bad accident. Yeah. So, she usually doesn't. Right. But, she's using the strength that she has to, you know what I'm saying? To cook. So, I just, you know, like I said, I would I ain't supposed to drive, but I took a chance on it. Yeah. >> Like I said, I had it on cruise control, you know. Yeah, I didn't get you for speeding. I just got you for the lane violation and then I when you passed me back there, I noticed your windshield was all >> Yeah, yeah, yeah, so. bust up on that side. Um I was going to say how So like how does that work with with holidays and things? Well, where I got uh uh position I have, I'm pretty flexible so I can take holidays off if I want. Okay. Yeah. Do you choose to? Like do you not Yeah, tomorrow I'll take off. Yeah, that's the best thing about my position is I got the flexible schedule so I can work whenever I need to and don't miss anything with my kids. Yeah. What kind of How many kids do you have? Three. Ooh. Boys and girls? Uh I've got a girl who's 20, a son who's 18, and another one who's 15. So So, said who's the older? My girl my daughter is. Yeah. >> Yeah. How old are you? 26. 26? That's when I had my first one. I was only 26. >> I just I just haven't found no, you know. Yeah. I haven't found no like no like like like girl or woman to like I don't have a girlfriend. Yeah. >> I mean no one to take responsibility. Oh, yeah. >> Like no one. Yeah, actions have consequences and if you can't handle the consequences then Troopers found over 3 lb of crystal meth and 70 g of fentanyl drugs with a street value estimated at more than $146,000. The driver was arrested and now faces multiple felony charges including possession and trafficking of controlled substances. If convicted, he could spend up to 11 years behind bars.
