In a desperate and frankly dangerous move, she attempts a flying kick into a wooden fence to escape. The officers' advice, don't hurt yourself over nonsense. It turns out she was on probation and was terrified of going back, but resisting an officer only adds more weight to the handcuffs. Meanwhile, her partner in crime tried a more modern escape, calling an Uber. She has someone else. >> please let us let them know my baby's at home, please. We're going to hang out on the phone for a few minutes and then we'll get to those phone calls, all right? Okay. I don't got anything. >> What do you want us She has someone else with her. The second suspect actually managed to get into a silver sedan that she claimed was an Uber, but the police were one step ahead. They pulled the car over and to the driver's surprise, his passenger was a wanted felon. It turns out this simple shoplifter had four active warrants including felony neglect of a dependent. Her attempt to flee didn't just fail, it exposed her entire criminal history. Next, we head to a Walmart where two men decide to test their luck. As soon as they see the badge, they bolt. What follows is a chaotic foot chase through a parking lot and into a nearby neighborhood. One suspect keeps screaming, "I'm not with nobody." while literally running away from the scene. When officers finally corner him, he claims he only ran because he thought the officer was going to shoot him, a common excuse when you're caught red-handed. Hey, come Come here. Come here. Come here. Sorry, what's going Come here. Don't run. Don't run. I got you covered, buddy. Don't run. All right, he's taking off from me. Uh heading to the parking lot. Hey, come here. Come here. While national stats say crime is falling, these videos prove that the daily battle for officers is as intense as ever. Simple retail thefts often escalate into dangerous pursuits because of the [music] baggage suspects are already carrying: warrants, probation, and fear. [music] Both of these suspects learned the hard way that stores cameras see everything and the police don't give up. Subscribe to Body Cam Pulse for more real-life accountability. Stay safe.
