It was >> Nobody stole it. It sat somewhere. Hang on. >> Lift the window back up. Quit messing with my stuff now. Uh, >> I'll help you work on some of this. >> There were three women at the scene, but only one of them would ultimately face all of the charges. And if you guessed it, it was the 29-year-old driver. She ended up receiving a total of seven charges. Here are those charges, starting from the least serious and moving up to the most serious with charges number one and two carrying the harshest consequences. Charge seven was speeding, which prosecutors later dropped. Charge six was giving a false name to law enforcement. She was adjudicated guilty and sentenced to 60 days of confinement. Charge five was obstruction of an officer. She was also found guilty of this charge and received another 60 days of confinement. Charge four was possession of methamphetamine. She was found guilty and sentenced to three years of probation. Charge three was possession of more than 1 ounce of marijuana. Prosecutors later dropped this charge and instead adjudicated her guilty on the more serious charge number two, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. She was found guilty on that charge and sentenced to 15 years with the first 5 years to be served in state prison. Then came charge number one, the most serious offense of them all. She was adjudicated guilty of trafficking in illegal drugs. For that charge, she received a total sentence of 20 years with the first 5 years to be served in state prison and the remaining 15 years on probation. She was also ordered to pay a $50,000 fine. It's important to understand that all of these sentences were running concurrently. So, when everything was combined, she received a total 20-year sentence with 5 years in state prison followed by 15 years on probation. She would later mention that she had recently been released from prison. It's also important to note that this case took place in the state of Georgia, where certain offenses can carry much more severe penalties, as we can clearly see here. This was also the result of a negotiated plea deal with all of the charges running concurrently. As always, let me know your honest thoughts on this case in the comments below. Stay safe out there and I'll see you in the next video. >> NO, THAT'S NOT MINE. NO, WAIT. I WAIT, THAT'S NOT MINE. >> EVERYBODY, >> CAN I please let me talk to my family? >> SIR, IT'S NOT MINE. Please talk to somebody. Please listen TO ME. IT'S NOT MY NO, WAIT. I HAVE TO TALK ON MY PHONE. I HAVE TO GET SOMEBODY TO come and get us.
