My name's Deputy Plumber with the Pon County Sheriff's Office. Do you know why I'm stopping you today? >> No, sir. I really don't. >> You don't? Okay. Uh, first reason is going to be >> So, my front end is [ __ ] up. I don't know if you seen me jerk it to the left. I'm trying to get it home. I just drove from an hour away from a spot that I had it at. >> Okay. Oh, >> so I don't know if that's the reason cuz I know it pulled to the right. I did have someone following me and I know it pulled to the right. So actually messed up. I just lane and I drove from about an hour away and trying to drive them home. >> Gotcha. Um so like I said, I'm pulling you over cuz you have no red tail lights. Your tail lights are white. >> No, they're white. All right. Uh secondly, it's going to be modified exhaust. Uh, thank you for letting me know that it was modified with your exhibition of exhaust at the stop light at 207 where you decided to just keep on flooring it. All right. >> You have your registration insurance? Anything to drink tonight? >> No, sir. What's up with the twisted tea? >> Okay. >> Nothing to drink tonight. >> Can I get your license, please? It's okay. Do you still live on Hastings? >> What do you do for work? >> I need you I need you to open where it says digital ID card. All right, sit tight for me. I'll be right back. 1489. I've been in and out here over 2 weeks. It's closed. So, I didn't know it was right there. I didn't look. I wasn't paying attention when I jumped in the truck out there, got off of work, and started driving here. I understand exhaust is loud and I'm sorry, but other than that, it's >> gotcha. >> All right. Uh, will you do me a favor? Turn the truck off and step out for me. >> Cool. So, you have you understand if you refuse to do field sobriety, I have to make a decision based off of the indicators that I've seen that I've been met with absent you doing any field sobriety. Um I understand that y'all could take my license for over a year. >> Yeah. So, what I'm getting at is I have reasonable suspicion based off of speaking with you and your driving pattern, not and I understand you saying the front end's messed up, but you know, the exhibition of the exhaust and stuff like that to believe that you could possibly be impaired and that normal faculties could be impaired. >> Tired. I'll give you that. I've worked >> fair enough. 12 hours a day cutting grass. >> I hear what you're saying. I work 12 hour shifts outside, too. Okay, I get it. All right, but like I said, I would like to make sure your normal faculties are not impaired and that you are okay to drive. It's up to you if you want to do them or not. >> I want to drive you and someone else can drive my truck. >> Okay. Um, then gives me his driver's license and I said, "So, you say your front end's messed up? You sure it wasn't a twisted tea?" Cuz he had a closed one in the uh cup holder. >> Yeah. >> He's like, "Oh, no. This is old. I just picked this truck up two weeks ago. I'm starting to smell alcohol." The whole nine yards. Because I was placing you under arrest. >> Can I say something please? >> Sure. You grabbed me with force while >> because I was placing you under arrest >> and I and I understand that completely. But before you even got the full words out of your mouth of put your hands behind your back, you grabbed me with force and I know >> not with force. I simply grabbed your wrist. >> Yes, you did. >> As you started to back away. >> You see, >> it's all on camera. >> That's fine. But y'all see I've been compliant. I asked to take a piss. >> Sir, sir. Sir, let me explain something to you. Sir, attempting to run from a law enforcement officer after they given you a lawful command is not compliance.
