at this point [Music] on May the 8th 2023 a 9-1-1 call came in it was a mother reporting one of her twins 27 year old son Devin Whitmire accusing him of terrorizing her family and Community she makes sure that it's Devin and not Tevin his twin brother she says she has referred him to IVC but they couldn't find him in the state of North Carolina IVC means involuntary commitment that is when a person is put into a mental health facility against their will or without their permission or the permission of their Guardian I'm his mother and legal guardian and I did an IBC but they never found them certain criteria to be involuntarily committed mostly a danger to yourself and others it is for someone that shows symptoms and signs of psychiatric issues or substance abuse so obviously nobody's over there because they saying he's standing outside looking at her Wheels now I'm about to tear our house up again she desperately wants this to end and she asks them to look for Devon and not to mistake him for Tevin his twin Devin Whitmire it's not Kevin it's Devin with a d the officers went to take a look but they could only find Tevin they got a warrant for Devin Whitmire later and five days later on May 13th the officers went to arrest Devon the officer who talked to Tevin before saw Devin a mile away from where he was standing then blackmail white shirt looks to me uh camo colored shorts couldn't wear a sling the body cam of the officer getting out to meet Devin will amuse you to say the least Evan Whitmire whom the police were after was acting as if he was Tevin Whitmire his twin brother Whitmire Kevin do you recognize me they knew they were after him and he tried to switch a roof but the only thing he had was a wristband with Heaven's name on it the officer saw right through this BS and asked him this he cut by about a week ago do you remember this were you pulling me over I didn't even pull you over there wow that makes me feel like you're lying to me he spoke to heaven okay he was acting like I don't know anything when the officer caught him lying the officer had interviewed Tevin the previous day and obviously Devin had no recollection of that and continued to lie to the officers that he was Tevin did you just come today yeah I'm just walking from down there that's all I'm saying like what's going on we're trying to find Devin we walk our Heights doing all that [ __ ] that's why I'm not up there he even put together an act of calling his brother Tevin from his phone okay hey you seen my brother Devin out here at the police the officers obviously didn't believe him and continued to ask more questions about his tattoos to make sure they got the right man me yeah you're drinking you know what you fell or something yes sir the officer asked for any tattoo that could distinguish him from his twin tattoos I didn't sound like and his answer was we are twins we get the same tattoos so the officer asked him for any ID other than the wristband to confirm he was Tevin that's your car man okay we'll talk in a second okay a woman comes to the scene and stands near the car so the officer talks to her and she claims she is his fiancee I'm not answering no more questions and it's trying to avoid any questions that might trick him to say his name and acts as a fool who knows nothing about this whole ordeal here's what's up the officers told him plainly what would happen but that's when Devin Dropped a Bomb he said can y'all back up so I can get my gun off me well very poor choice of words and you can guess what happened relax witches the officers tried to be respectful but the situation took a nasty turn when he pushed an officer out the struggle went on for a long time and he spat at the officers on multiple occasions screaming and arguing you just heard was from the woman who claimed to be his fiancee threatening about having a gun was the only reason he got handcuffed on the ground but now he and his fiance claim that the officers made up the idea of him having a gun this didn't stop the officers from searching for the weapon but all this commotion caused a small crowd to form they started to yell out that Devin is being choked and cannot read Devin continued to resist until he was put in a squad car and the yelling from the crowd didn't stop until that in the end it was clear that Devin didn't have a weapon so why he told that Still Remains a mystery he now faces multiple charges including two counts of assault on a government official inflicting Serious injury three counts of assault on a government official and three counts of malicious contact that's all for today folks don't forget to like this video And subscribe to our Channel if you haven't already thank you for watching we'll see you guys soon
