July 19th, 2026, at a QuickTrip, a protest confrontation escalated when police say Jason Ponican threw a heavy sign at a vehicle and intentionally rammed SUV. One person was hospitalized, and Monica and Jason Ponican were arrested on multiple charges. >> Fight in progress. >> Why did he attack me? >> Which guy? >> This guy over in the green Suburban. You're out here on the corner. Uh he comes over and yells and says something. Where would did you go and confront him at? >> Where he turned around, backed up, parked right there. >> Okay, where the debris is? >> Where the tire >> Where the Where the plastic stuff >> hit me, backed up, tried to hit me, but he missed. >> Okay. >> know better than get behind the car. So, that's why we tried to stop him because he already spit in my face. >> Okay. And because she can't help herself, she walked over here and confronted him where he allegedly spit on her and tried to hit her with a car. So, she threw one of the boards at him. And then at some point, he drives over there and I think they wreck back here. And then, he's got abrasions to his knees where he says the car had even knocked him down. Red car pulls in the QuickTrip. She said she she admits she walks over and confronts red car. And the guy spits at her. So, she throws one of the boards at the car. And at some point, I don't know where this happened, but the red car allegedly hits him. And then he goes and chases the red car down. And as I'm pulling in, he's tearing at the red car trying to get out of here and they're both lovely people. She's going to cuss me and then get upset when I cuss her back. She's a Spillers, too. And then husband tried to rip off the guy's mirror. They took off. He somehow got hit by the red car, and then he goes over and smashes red car. So these people are right now probably going to be our main suspects.
