It all started when grandma opened the door to her 11-year-old grandson's room one morning. >> She said, [music] "I saw a picture of male genitalia on his computer." >> It turned the boy's mother's world upside [music] down. >> What should I do? >> The first thing mom did was lock down her son's apps and accounts. >> There is something going on. We want to preserve everything that's been said. Then she called the police and the first thing they did was seize his gaming console. That's how these two parents [music] in Phoenix helped police catch this monster. >> Sir, state your name and date of birth. >> Jacob Lozano, December 8th. >> He is now in prison for sending graphic videos and images to at least three elementary school boys. >> To identify the boys in Arizona, um a boy in California, and I believe two boys in Georgia. But digging into his online history revealed there was more. >> There are more unknown victims. >> But these parents thought we were doing everything right. >> We checked his phone. We checked his computer. >> They even paid for extra safety apps and features. >> Unfortunately, the technology is very difficult to make a bullet. >> Nothing could have prepared them for they found out >> this was so grotesque and so over-the-top and so sexual in nature. Even though they knew that in today's world this could still happen no matter the precautions. >> I think it's not if this will happen but probably when >> it never occurred to them to tell their child. >> And if a man shows you a picture of his penis, this is what you should do. >> The parents only had basic stranger danger talk with their son before he had his first experience with a man who was 13 years older than him. I will never forgive myself um for this happening under my nose. >> Their son's favorite game is Fortnite and that's where he met 24year-old Jacob Lozano from Florida. Lozano lied about his age. Said he was 16 to several pre-teens online. >> He moved them from Fortnite to Discord and it started happening very very quickly. >> Why Discord? Because with just one click, users can share videos and live chats, slipping past those so-called age restrictions. The videos he sent to them [music] >> to them were things that no 11year-old child should ever have to see. >> Investigators found very disturbing [music] chats between him and the boy. >> It would go from talking about sexual acts openly to what do you like to do to yourself? The 11-year-old is on the autism spectrum with ADHD. >> So, playing games and being online um was sort of his outlet. >> And that's exactly what Lozano prayed on. Investigators quickly pulled together all the online chats. As they dug deeper, they found something even more alarming. [music] Records of video calls. And >> that's where it becomes a black hole that we don't know what happens beyond that. So, how did Lozano manage to lure them in? He sent cash and PlayStation gift cards to them in exchange of their videos. >> Well, then maybe I'll do it. >> We heard from the detective that even one child, he delivered a pizza to his house. >> Well, now it was the detective's turn to lure Lozano in. Remember the gaming console the parents handed over? Detectives used it to pose as the son, and Lozano, being what he is, incriminated himself, admitting he knew their son was only 11. That was all they needed. Lzano was taken down fast, and soon after he was hauled out of Florida on an extradition warrant for 14 counts of exploitation of minors. >> The penalty after trial is significant. These are essentially numerous life. Detectives later found that Lozano had been flagged on Snapchat in 2022 for sharing very graphic child videos. At the time, no charges were filed, even though there had been interactions with several other minors. If every case had been pursued, his sentence could have stretched well over 170 years. After a year in custody, Lozano took a plea deal and admitted to several felony charges tied to the exploitation and luring of minors. He was given a 32-year prison sentence, followed by lifetime probation as a level three sex offender. The 11-year-old is in counseling. He gave up Fortnite, but not long after being allowed back online, a stranger tried to reach him again, this time through Roblox. But now he knew what to do. thanks to his parents. The next story takes place in England where a 25-year-old man arranged to meet a 15year-old boy only to walk straight into the hands of Kbel, a vigilante. >> Why you child Why have you asked a child to come to your property tonight? >> The scary part is it took only a few hours of chatting before the man was ready to meet >> tonight. He was actually 30 and also the youngest mayor Peter Lee had ever had. His name is Lee Cook and he sent inappropriate messages to what he believed to be a teenager. Cooker spent time working in the community, helping people wherever he could. He had taken on voluntary and unpaid work in his area. But that doesn't mean he can walk away with this. He thought he was going to meet a child. That's unforgivable. Lee Cook pleaded guilty. He was sentenced to 12 months in prison and ordered to follow a sexual harm prevention order for 5 years as well as register as a sex offender for 10 years. To get to the next case, we move about 22 mi from Peter Lee to Gates Head Metro Station in London. That's where 27year-old Mines Patel was headed to meet 14-year-old Lurorry, but he was stopped at the nearby interchange before he got there. >> Came here and last yesterday, I went to Stockton by walk. >> What he didn't know was that Luri wasn't the 14-year-old girl he'd been messaging for 5 days. On February 9th, he pushed further, asking to meet and if she enjoyed sex, saying it was good for the health. >> I made me pathetic. >> I 50. [laughter] He's tortured me for days. Patel was studying in the UK on a post-graduate program with a student visa. He also had family in the country, but he didn't think about them when he agreed to meet the 14-year-old girl at Gates Head Metro Station on February 19th, 2020.
