Armando, aged 30, was arrested and is now facing multiple charges, including aggravated battery and child endangerment. Alexis, aged 24, was also taken into custody and is facing charges related to child endangerment. According to investigators, the case began on December 22nd when the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services contacted local police regarding a kid with severe, alarming, and unexplained condition. Authorities say that during the investigation the father's explanation did not match the seriousness of the infant's condition. The newborn is seen having multiple injuries as if he was being hit. They also noted concerns about a delay in seeking medical attention for the kid. Alexis Eckelberger was also arrested on a charge of child endangerment. She was later released with a notice to appear in court. The case remains under investigation as the legal process moves forward.
