9:39 a.m. A man carrying a bag walked out of a grocery store and got into a car parked on the side of the road. >> In the car, there was a person waiting for him. >> It was 80-year-old Edna Stos. Then the car quickly left. 4 hours later, the car returned to the same place, but this time the person sitting in the driver's seat was not Edna, but the man. She had picked him up, went to his car, and parked right next to his sister's car. He pulled something out of her car and put it in his car. It was quite difficult to determine exactly what it was. But after analyzing each frame, police realized it could be Etna's body because the blonde hair was unmistakable. That was the last moment. We all saw Etna because the man who got into that car was Daniel Prince, a man who had been sentenced to N years in prison for kidnapping women. However, when going deeper into the investigation, the American police encountered countless difficulties and really used myself against the savagery of this devil in human form around 9:00 a.m. On August 27th, 80-year-old Edna Sats left her home to visit a friend. A few hours later, 9/11 got a very disturbing phone. >> Call Green View police here. >> What do you mean? >> What is your emergency? >> There is a friend who was supposed to be with my mom today. Her name is Edna SOS and she never came here. Normally she never comes late, so I think something is wrong. This phone >> call was just the start of a mysterious chain of events after that. The police showed up at Edna SOS yard to check. After receiving the call, no one was home, no signs of forced entry, [music] and Edna was nowhere to be found. When the police questioned Edna's son, Marshall, he said her $50 000 jewelry box was gone. And more importantly, her car also missing. If the police can track the car, maybe they will have more clues about Edna's location. Maybe they will know her last location. Immediately, the police organized a large investigation to search for the Japanese car. 6 days later, they found the car abandoned in the parking lot of a motel for drivers. >> The worrying thing is Edna's house is nearby and she also did not need to stay at the hotel. According to the motel manager, no one booked a room using Edna's name. So, to be able to investigate this mysterious disappearance, the police decided to trace Edna using all the security cameras [music] around her house. 9:30 a.m. A security camera detected Edna leaving the house and driving to a local grocery store called Food Lash. Minutes later, she arrived to pick someone up. A man approached the carrying two bags in his hands car and both returned to Etna's house about 4 [music] hours later at 1:43 p.m. Etna's car left again and returned to Foodland again, but this time the person in the driver's seat was not Mrs. No. But the man she had picked him up from immediately went to his car and parked next to Banana's car, pulled something out of Bana's car and put it in his car. It was very difficult to determine exactly what it was. But after analyzing each frame, the police realized it was nothing else but could be Bana's body because her golden hair was very recognizable. 4 minutes later, >> the man drove Etna's car into the motel parking lot, which was the parking lot where the police found the car. He then got out and began the process of wiping away his traces on the car at 214. This man returned to his car at Foodland and drove away. And that was the last time the police saw [music] Mrs. Etna on the camera frames. The man who was picked up by the ghost Etna is also the most important clue in the investigation. This is also the man in the frame, but because the image is not clear and the distance between him and all the cameras is quite far, [music] it is very difficult for the inspectors to recognize him. >> Exactly who is the character? The case could have reached a dead end. But at that moment, the police realized that when he walked out of the store, he was carrying two bags of things, which means he had paid for the items at the store. This was also a breakthrough in the investigation. The police immediately began to collect the store's security cameras and shortly after they recognized the identity of the suspect. It was Daniel Prince, a man who had been arrested in federal prison for kidnapping in 1997. Daniel was responsible for the disappearance of a woman in Michigan. He had her chained by the wrists and it was really lucky that the victim was able to escape before he could kill her. He was sentenced to a maximum of 30 years in prison. for this case was pardoned and released from prison in the year. But the worst scenario has not happened yet. >> After being released from prison, he started working as a maid for the elderly. Lonely, the investigation team has locked the target and started investigating the subject. They have identified the kidnapper and he may still have Etna alive. They must act quickly before this glimmer of hope is extinguished. [music] Even though Daniel has a criminal past, however, the police still do not have enough evidence to hold him responsible for this kidnapping. However, they have determined the cause of the case may be related to the jeep of the police [music] have a warrant to arrest Daniel and investigate his assets [music] and they were quickly dispatched to his house to directly arrest the suspect. [music] I am fully cooperating, but I will not react. So, just calm down. [music] stand up. I will fully cooperate. Even though an entire team of armed elite soldiers [music] was present at the suspect's house, he seemed very calm, as if he had had a script in mind to help him get out of jail as soon as he was brought to the interrogation room. The two inspectors were very friendly to him. This tactic helps the suspect [music] feel comfortable during the interrogation. They don't want him to know about the information have collected [music] through the security cameras. So, what do you do now? I do many jobs. [music] I repair home appliances. I also have a bunch of regular customers. [music] So, why did you go from Boston, North Carolina all the way down to Michigan or Wisconsin? [music] Actually, I'm from Eastern Michigan, but I was in Michigan prison for a while. And when my sentence was reduced, [music] I was sent to the west of the state. So, what did you do to be in jail? [music] I was in jail for kidnapping. I served 13 and 1/2 years for that crime. one and a half years for forging vehicle registration. I'll tell you guys when they don't know how to keep me in jail, they will have to come up with lame excuses like forging vehicle registration for. Example, as for the kidnapping, I did too many things is crazy that I shouldn't have done. I should and have kidnapped anyone. But I got involved in such terrible things. What is terrible? That's all that nonsense. Don't try to fool us. I understand. I understand. I'm sitting in an interrogation room with two [music] police inspectors. I won't try to fool you. I've been through this several times. Just want to say I've paid the price and I've changed. Now I haven't caused any trouble since I was released. I'm happy for you, especially [music] after what you've been through. After being released from prison, many people [music] continue to make the same mistakes they did even though they were once criminals. But that doesn't mean for sure he was involved [music] in the disappearance of the victim Etna. But through investigation, M H clues from his father said the opposite. Daniel was not at all like the image of a hardworking reformed prisoner that he was trying to build. Let me tell you about the incident that happened on August 27th, 2021. What day was it? Friday the 27th about 2 weeks ago. Do you remember where you went? I don't remember exactly where do you think you went? I usually wander around. I usually go to Charlotte for walks. I also often go down to South Carolina. Where were you when you came to work in South Carolina? I went to the Chard V Motel, but I don't I know if it was Thursday or Friday, but I know I went there the week you mentioned. Yeah, but I don't remember exactly what day it was. Oh, no. But I don't think it was Thursday or Friday. What work were you doing in South Carolina? Actually, this wasn't for work. There was a woman who talked to me a few times. I even went to her house a couple of times. We were friends. So, this woman had a lot of problems [music] and most of them were from her daughter. She called me and said she wanted me to come to her house. She said she needed to borrow money from me because her daughter was in the heart closet one time else. She asked me to borrow money because she wanted to hire a private detective because she was having some problems with her son-in-law. She often told me stories like that. We were also good friends. So, how did you first meet this woman? Many years ago, a friend connected us. Right now, the inspector is investigating his movements and is slowly making Daniel reveal himself. When this inspector shows him the clues they found him, he will still continue to deny the crime and not turn himself in even though the evidence is quite clear. Do you have anything to defend yourself? This is not you. On August 27th, no, this is the forest rest stop parking lot of Food Lion store. No, I don't think this is me. Where is it? And here it is. Yes, it is me. Where is it? Food Lion, August 27th, 2021, 9:23 a.m. Do you remember anything yet? Yes, I did go to Food Lion. [music] So, after buying things, did you? Where are we going? She wants me to come over and fix some things. She picks me up at Food Lion. She wants me to come with her because she's going to have a meeting with some other men to discuss the matter. Private detective, tell us more about that day. She wants me to come with her because she's quite scared and doesn't trust the other guy. She also knows that I served in the army, so she asked me if she could spend some time with me. She's scared that this guy will trick her into going to a different meeting place than the one they originally agreed on. Where [music] he said, "Let's meet in the hotel lobby." Anna told me at that time, "Let's drive out there first to see if there's really anyone there." So, I went ahead and things started to get more complicated. Not only is he trying to deflect the police's [music] suspicions from him, but he's also directing that suspicion towards another person, specifically the private detective that the guy wants to meet. The private investigator before the Dana was reported missing even though she said she didn't feel comfortable seeing him alone. The investigation team saw all of Daniel's actions through the security cameras in [music] the area. What car was he driving? I was driving a blue car. Was that your wife's car or yours? My wife's car. So, you and Edna were driving down 25th Street together, huh? Probably because this is SNA's car and it left the house at 145 p.m. on the 27th. So, you were with SNA, right? Probably. Here's another angle. If you need a better look, this is a picture of you parking [music] in the parking lot of this motel. This is when you came back here and this is when you got out of the car. But you were the only one getting out of the car, right? Did I tell you? But you went and wiped around the car, right? Because I [music] was a little worried. This is a picture of you walking in this parking lot. And this is when you got back into your car and drove away. Now she is stay with me. I know. [music] I know you're a good person. I really believe that all the things you did were probably just accidents. And you really didn't want those things to happen, right? Daniel Prince [music] seemed stunned by the amount of photographic evidence that the police had and they showed him. But that didn't stop him from continuing to lie about his actions. But the police made an even more interesting discovery that there were signs of mud on the tires of Dan's car, which showed that he may have driven onto a dirt road to kill or dispose of Edna's body. And from here, Dan's lies started [music] to fall apart. You're not a bad person, right? No one said [music] you were an evil person with a twisted mind to know where Etna is. We investigated your car. We found dirt on the tires. So, where exactly [music] did you go? I never go onto dirt roads. So, where did you leave Etna? Oh, actually, I can tell you exactly where she is and where I went into the dirt road. Keep talking as we were going into 25 South. On the right side of the road, there was a core van. There was another one here, and it had a for sale sign. It looked like a used van, and I needed one, too. [music] So, we pulled over on 25, even though he had a lot of undeniable evidence in front of him. Daniel was still trying to avoid any responsibility right now, the inspector had to use strong measures. I ask you again, where is Edna? Her family is having a hard time finding her. So, is she really missing? Yes, Edna. Where is she? I don't know. I really don't know. Drove her home, but you didn't drop her off. She's not home. We followed that car all day in a long 25 and there was definitely a period of time where her car wasn't in any garage, mine or hers. Don't try anymore. Okay, let me explain to you. Give me time and I will explain to you thoroughly. When I stopped her car and went to find that private, the detective, she said she wanted me to take my car and take her for a ride. So, I got out and went back to Forland. She and I took my car and I took her home in my car. We got all the security cameras around there. She never went home. The car was still in the same place. It wasn't in her car. It was in my car. I was in. She went home in my car. You didn't take anyone. She was in my car at food. Well, I picked her up after I took her. I assure you, you didn't pick her up. The inspectors are putting a lot of pressure on him and proving to him that all he's trying to cover up are lies. Even though he's still trying to defend himself, trying to deny the fact that he's deleted clean all the evidence. I don't know where she is. See, you know where she is and I don't know. Now, I ask you, why are you wiping around her car? You say you're worried. Then what are you worried about? The only thing I did was I got in and out of her car many times and there's no way I'm leaving this car here because there are other people who are after her. Dan again tries to shift suspicion to someone else by saying that Miss [music] at this time he confessed to his crimes including three more victims including Mrs. L. Goodman Dolores S and Nancy [music] R. Mrs. Dolores's daughter. Mrs. Dolores S was the first victim. He killed her at the will of her daughter Nancy Rego. But then she changed her mind and tried to contact the police, which put her in the sights of Daniel, a crazy murderer, and Nancy was his second victim. What's more remarkable is that after NY's death, he also inherited the victim's insurance money because before she died, she gave him all the authority while investigating Daniel's assets. The police also found NY's documents from 2017. After killing Nancy, he continued to pretend to be Nancy and text her family to make them not suspect NY's mysterious disappearance. The third victim, it was Mrs. L. Goodman, who he said had deliberately stolen from him, and her body was dumped in a remote [music] place. The last victim until discovered was Mrs. Edna Satis. The victim's body was found a year later [music] on the 16th of May 2022 in a cemetery near his home in Rutherford. Although it was rotten in the middle, but the police were still able to confirm that this was exactly the body of Mrs. Anna. [music] Despite having committed horrific murders, Daniel Prince still did not give up any hope of escaping the crime. There was a lot of evidence that we discovered in your home. You will have a thousand ways to explain each thing, right? I don't want to jump to conclusions. So if something happens that you did not intentionally cause then tell us there are things that have to happen. There are things that are about to happen. I am a realistic person. So I have accepted all possible scenarios. I just want maybe have control over how those things happen. If you could just turn that camera off, I could talk to you more freely. Once the camera was turned off, he continued to try to turn the story in the direction he wanted. Daniel Prince made a deal with the authorities that he would tell them where he buried Edna Satus's body in exchange for the case being taken to federal court because the living conditions in the federal prison were better. He also made a deal that he would not be sentenced to death but to life in prison. But he probably thought the detectives were naive enough to listen to him [music] and turn the camera off. But he had no way of knowing that all of his statements were being recorded even though the camera was turned off. And here is the end. Cold and terrifying confession of the cold-blooded killer. Okay, let's start like this. There's someone I'm very close to to someone who wants to get their family out. The pain they are suffering is the first victim after making those demands that person gradually feels guilty and decides to turn himself in. That is the second victim. There is a third victim, but I am not the one who directly harmed her. I know that this person will receive social security for the rest of his life. So, I just got the body stamp so I can continue to use the victim's card. Can you, while you are dealing with all this? Please tell us about the location of the table. I have a deal like this. I will keep my mouth shut if my case is not tried in federal court. Daniel Prince was eventually sentenced to life in prison without parole in federal prison after a series of crimes he committed against his victims. A Daniel Prince who was willing to kidnap a woman in 1997 but was sentenced to 30 years in prison and then was pardoned is Edna is having trouble with some people. But it seems he underestimated the professionalism of these guys. So who do you think could be after her? The man in the truck. She says she doesn't trust him. The private detective. Yeah, she says she hired a detective. We already took a statement from him. He's worked with her before. And the son-in-law, we also took a statement from [music] him. He doesn't know anything about the whereabouts of Bana because he never saw her. I told you she hired another private investigator. I'm sure you're recording all your statements. Don't make any sense. You were the last person in the car you cleaned that belonged to a missing woman. That doesn't make sense. The detectives succeeded in getting him to admit that he was with Na on August 27th, 2021, which was the day the victim disappeared. Daniel Prince confessed that he was helping Mrs. Edna to meet a mysterious private investigator. The investigation team knew that this was just his last attempt to prevent the police from paying attention to him. He insisted that it was him who brought Etna home safely, but the police determined that it was him who was the last person to see Mrs. Etna alive. Through this interrogation, they determined that it was him who was the suspect. [music] When the inspectors searched Daniel's house, they found a lot of automatic weapons. Because he has a criminal record, he jumped out and is not legally allowed to own any kind of weapon. This could get him prosecuted by the federal prison and could get him another prison sentence. While Daniel is in custody at the police station, the investigation team [music] continues to search for other traces in his house. And they found one of the most important clues in this case is a yogurt [music] box. This is the yogurt box that he bought at Food Lion right before Ethan disappeared. More importantly, in that yogurt box, there are many types of drugs. The drugs that can paralyze the human nervous system. when they are mixed together when these chemical reactions happen. At the same time, the nervous system will gradually slow down. And this is exactly what happened when Edna sat in the car [music] with Dan after the poison had seeped deep into her body there. That was no other way she could fight it off and she was just waiting to be killed by the killer. [music] This cold-blooded adhead this time he realized that he had no way to deny his crime. He was released and not long after was invited back to the interrogation room. Really incomprehensible. Let's just imagine if the law had not released this monster in 2009. These women would probably still be alive and well until now. Is a life sentence for a man who has heartlessly taken the lives of so many women worthy. What do you think? Please state your opinion.
