They say you can tell a pro by how they handle a Lamborghini. This officer is about to find out the hard way. >> Damn, son. Bruce Wayne, how you doing today? Can I see your pilot's license? Uh, I'm going to need you to step out of the car for me. >> Clayton County Sheriff's Blackhawk unit and one undefeated Dodge Charger Hellcat. The Blackhawk unit is a specialized high-performance traffic enforcement unit built to handle some of the fastest drivers on Georgia's roads. But this time, they found themselves behind a Hellcat that wasn't planning on making the stop easy. Watch what happens next. [music] I got off 75 Dodge Charger. We use our 114 coming up. I got one coming up where speeds are 120. All right, coming up the Jones Road. Let go charger number four lane and drive. >> The Hellcat waste no time using every lane and every bit of open asphalt and the gap starts opening almost instantly. Speeds are well over 130 mph and the Blackhawk unit is suddenly the one trying to keep up. You got a lean on passing Mount Zion. So he's on 40. Traffic is light. Go ahead and notify count. >> The Hellcat didn't just get away from the Blackhawk unit. It made the chase looked completely one-sided. The Charger was simply too quick to stay with, and the deputy was eventually left with no way to close the gap. What do you think? Was this driver really a pro, or did that Hellcat just give him the perfect advantage? Subscribe to the channel for more insane police chases. On June 15th, 2023, Trooper McCord pulled up behind a dark gray Ford Mustang on the interstate. Something about the car immediately caught her attention, and within seconds, this traffic stop was about to become a lot more interesting. 936 up 1037 31 square 33 44 McCord jumped back in and gave chase, but the Mustang was already pulling away. A few miles later, heavy traffic got in the way and McCord lost sight of the car. Was that good timing, or did this guy know exactly what he was doing? Lamborghini Aventador and a driver who knows exactly what that car can do. A state police officer is about to find out just how hard it is to keep up when this driver decides it's time to move. On October 20th, 2022, Arkansas State Police Trooper Thomas Hubard clocked a red sedan doing 81 in a 65. But this driver wasn't about to make things easy. He pushed the car past 100 mph and eventually pulled off a move that looked more like something from a professional pursuit than a traffic stop. Watch what happens next. city. We got one right in front of me. Arkansas 093 x-ray David Edward 093 David Edward Cheving arrow at 115 mph right now >> 40 westbound speed one he just went around a vehicle coming up on the track Now 40 westbound traffic's heavy at 118. and just >> trooper Hubard was already struggling with heavy traffic as the suspect weaved through cars pushing well over 130 mph. But then the driver made a move that gave him the opening he needed to get away. >> Traffic still going around vehicles here. We're still westbound. Slowing up here. Just passing the 277. >> I'm at Ingram Street. Headed that way. Still westbound. Traffic still 92. Drop 309 off and then I'll head east. Set up westbound cutting in and out of traffic. He's going on the left shoulder. He's trying to get around these big trucks. They're trying to hold him up. One reckless move onto the shoulder was all it took to get away. Trooper Hubard wasn't willing to follow through the traffic, [music] giving the suspect enough room to open up a gap. Before long, the pursuit was called off. Trooper Caleb Peave House spots this Corvette doing 86 mph in a 75 on I49. With a 6.2 L V8 producing up to around 460 [music] horsepower, this is not exactly the kind of car you want to give a head start to. But the moment peeve house tries to stop it, the driver has something else in mind. Circle K on 371. Give me 21373 [music] eastbound on zero. Coming up though green wood zero. A lot of traffic. I've still got him inside. So he's going probably 140 by now. I had a little over. >> The second those lights came on, the Corvette driver gunned it and started pulling away. The speed shot past 100, then 120, and moments later, he nearly t-boned an SUV while blowing through the intersection. Trooper Pv House kept after him, but eventually lost sight of the Corvette and decided to terminate the pursuit. Just after 2:40 in the morning, Trooper Loftess spots a white Chevy Camaro doing 70 in a 35. He turns on the lights, but the driver isn't interested in stopping. And once this Camaro gets onto the interstate, things get a lot more serious. Um, stand by trying to go 1025 1037. White Camaro be going west, excuse me, West. I don't have a temporary or 28 speed. We just got off of Broadway. We're coming up 140. He's staying on 30. We're passing 630 right now. There's light traffic. He's taking 530. >> The Camaro keeps flying until it reaches I530. And then the driver tries something else. He shuts the headlights off for a few seconds, hoping the darkness will make him harder to track before turning them back on and continuing at full speed. Keep going 148 on 141 maxed out. He's got a pretty good gap. Yeah, he's blacking on me. Taking Dixon. He's turning east on Dixon. East on Dixon. He's going back northbound. Northbound on 530. He's got a pretty good gap on me again. >> The Camaro stayed over 150 mph, but near Lindsay Road, Trooper Loftess finally lost sight of it and had no choice but to call off the pursuit. No plate, no way to identify the driver, and no Camaro in sight. Did this driver actually know how to lose the cops, or did he just get lucky in the dark? This driver isn't exactly making it easy for the cops. From tight city streets to packed highways, he keeps finding just enough space to stay moving. And judging by the way he handles the car, he clearly knows what he's doing. The taxi played a huge role here, leaving just enough room for the driver to squeeze past. It blocked the state police cruiser for a few crucial seconds, giving the runner the gap he needed to get away. West Memphis police were already chasing this gold Kia Sarrento when trooper Dylan Evans joined the pursuit. But this driver seemed to have an ultimate plan to get away, using every lane in both shoulders as he pushed past 120 mph. [music] And he wasn't about to let Evans make this easy. Heat. Heat. We're passing over mountain. That's a lot of Coming up on With the famous bridge into Tennessee now in sight, Trooper Evans knew he was running out of road. He rushed to get into position for a pit before the Kia could reach the driver's ultimate escape point. But the angle wasn't right. The contact failed and the Sarrento kept charging toward the bridge. Passing the wheel. wheel. Oh, wheel. We're coming up on the state line. Why not just run? >> The Kia reached the Tennessee state line and trooper Evans had to terminate the pursuit. Maybe the driver really did have the whole escape planned from the start. This white Dodge Challenger had already made two police departments lose track of it before Arkansas State Police got involved. Trooper Nathan Williams finally got behind it on I40, but the driver was about to make this chase a whole lot harder. >> Back 40. Ah, he says north. North field. >> The driver pulled off a really good move, taking the exit so quickly that trooper Williams had to continue straight, costing him those crucial seconds needed to get into position for a pit. It was a smart move, and for a moment, it looked like the driver had the advantage. But it wasn't enough. He switched off the Challenger's [music] lights and kept running. North field north coming up north. [music] I mean downtown. I got here making me run. What do you think? Too old for that. >> You're not taking it with you in the car. >> That's your problem, man. That's what you're worried about. >> No. >> You're facing like 10 felonies and 15 20 years in prison and you're worried about a chain. >> Zero remorse. >> The driver had the speed. made some smart moves and even managed to throw the troopers off position, but none of it was enough. The Challenger was eventually stopped and both suspects ended up on foot with nowhere left to run.
