On September 17th, this genius out in Seattle apparently decided he was starring in a real life remake of The Blues Brothers. It all kicked off when officers tried to stop a vehicle with a stolen plate. But this driver had Hollywood aspirations. And when police moved in, he took off and made one insane move that left the troopers completely outplayed. Let me pass you. >> Be turning northbound. Failing to yield out northbound. Charlie 01. I got him stuck on the traffic at the bridge here. Crossing over the m cut. >> The bridge is up. I'm going to have him uh stuck here a whole deer. >> Here's how University Bridge look. >> He actually made the jump over the bridge. >> He literally hit the gap, cleared the drop, slammed back onto the asphalt on the other side, and kept on going. Police later recovered the abandoned car near Pasadena Place East, but the driver was already gone. No arrests have been made, meaning this Hollywood stunt actually worked, at least for now. It's a dark, open road with a heavily modified Chevy Corvette out front. The second the trooper's lights came on, the Corvette was gone, but it didn't take long before construction forced the driver to slow down. Luckily for him, he had a few other tricks up his sleeve. table description, charges, speeds, traffic. 30 westbound, direction 30 eastbound, speeds 135. It's going to be a little bit >> speeds climbed past 150 mph before the trooper finally started closing the gap. But with construction ahead and only one lane open, the driver was running out of road until he pulled a move nobody saw coming. Go left. I just wrecked out. 30 eastbound 1214. >> You wrecked out or you did? >> I did. Stand by for injuries. I hit somebody. A quick swerve into the right lane was all it took to throw the trooper off balance, sending him straight into a construction cone and causing him to lose control. With the cruiser wrecked, the pursuit was instantly aborted. [music] Late in the night on August 19th, 2023, trooper Daniel Parker spotted a nearly new Dodge Challenger cruising through Little Rock. But one detail immediately raised a red flag. The license plate didn't match the car. If you enjoyed the chase, hit that like button and subscribe for more insane police pursuits. Parker radioed in that he was pursuing the Challenger with the Camaro fleeing alongside it. The two cars turned onto 65th Street and started opening up an insane gap, reaching speeds of more than 150 mph. All the speed up here. There's snow in here almost. With no visual and no safe way to continue, Parker made the call to terminate the pursuit and returned to normal highway speed. The sun's setting on State Highway 155, but the day is not quite done for this state police trooper. Just before 8:00 p.m., the radar picks up a target coming hot from behind. A pickup doing 89 in a 55 zone. What are you going to do, bud? All right, we're going to go south towards center. [screaming] and we turned on the braic road. I tried to move in for a bit, wasn't able to. The suspect, identified as Martin Standidge, kept pushing the ram toward Highway 7, running off the road and crossing the double yellow line along the way. When he turned onto Braybeck Road, the trooper moved in for a pit attempt, but the low speeds gave Standidge just enough room to slip away and disappear down the dirt road. Let's see. 214. We hit the dirt road here and I had to slow down. I can't see anything. that way. They're going to head towards Highway 28, I believe. >> I'm on 1022 for now. I'm just going to follow this dust trail, see where he goes. The thick dust gave the suspect the perfect advantage, cutting visibility and giving him enough room to disappear down the dirt road. But what do you think? Was that just luck, or did he know exactly what he was doing? Because if that escape was planned, you have to admit it was pretty damn clever. Was this driver a genius behind the wheel or just dangerously dumb? >> Arkansas runners have learned one thing the hard way. Outrunning an ASP trooper isn't easy. But when the road leads across the Tennessee border, suddenly the game changes. For some drivers, that state line can feel like a finish line because Arkansas State Police can't simply continue the pursuit into Tennessee. And this Camaro driver was about to find out if crossing that bridge was enough to buy him his freedom. On December 27th, 2025, trooper Eli Thomas spotted a white Chevrolet Camaro on Interstate 40 and quickly found a problem. The registered owner's license was suspended. When Thomas tried to pull him over, the Camaro refused to stop. Chevy Camaro Arkansas boy George O'Re 76 item. Boy, George Xray 76 out of I'm shooting 1037. Thomas tried to end the chase before the situation got even more complicated, but traffic forced him to abandon the TVI attempt. The Camaro immediately took advantage, flooring it past 100 mph and making a run for Tennessee. Thomas followed across the state line, keeping visual contact and getting Tennessee Highway Patrol involved. But once the Camaro reached the surface streets, the order finally came down to abort the chase. Notify THP. >> Crossing Memphis right now. We're taking North Front Street. >> The driver turned a suspended license into a 100 plus miles hour in interstate escape and actually bought himself some freedom that night. So, what do you think? Was that actually genius or was he just getting lucky with the state line? >> Oh, you got on at 10:22 and if you're across state line, Tennessee. >> On November 21st, 2023, a trooper spotted a maroon Kia K5 on Interstate 30 with an unreadable temporary tag. The moment he activated his lights, the Kia took off, blasting past 100 mph in a 65 zone. With up to 290 horsepower under the hood, this K5 had plenty of power. But it was the driver's aggressive lane changes that made the difference. 193 medium traffic there. 6:30. >> The driver kept weaving through every lane, using gaps in traffic to stay ahead of the trooper. He pushed onto the Interstate 630 ramp, and with traffic getting heavier, the Kia finally disappeared from sight. >> It's a dark IKEA with fake paper. What state? >> I'm doing 16. >> I lost. On September 6th, 2025, Arkansas State Police trooper David Whipple spotted a white Dodge Challenger flying down Interstate 30, passing traffic at high speed. But when Whipple tried to pull it over, this muscle car came alive. The driver punched it and pushed the Challenger all the way to 150 mph. South turning up there. different. >> The trooper chased after him as the Challenger continued flying through traffic, eventually taking the Interstate 630 exit. But even with Whipple pushing to keep up, the gap kept growing. 6:30 West Broadway. Near the two-mile marker, Trooper Whipple finally lost sight of the Challenger. Sometimes all that speed gets you is a very serious paper trail. [snorts] >> On August 1st, 2023, a Missouri trooper nearly got hit by a minivan doing 100 mph in the wrong lane. The driver took off [music] and what followed was a 36-minute chase across two counties. But the real surprise came when the suspect managed to outsmart the trooper and leave him stranded in a field. Making our way on County Road 5220 or 52. It's a gravel road driveway. Speed 60. Knowing he couldn't outrun the trooper on paved roads, the suspect, later identified as Cameron Seapaw, stuck to the dusty back roads where his knowledge of the area could give him the advantage he needed to shake the pursuit. After all, he wasn't exactly driving a vehicle built to outrun police. That 2006 Pontiac Montana was only packing around 200 horsepower. I don't see one and mail around here. I don't really know. Yeah. Captain. hand. We're a dos 5450. And despite driving a minivan with barely 200 horsepower, Sapawa was pushing that Pontiac like it was a race car. The trooper had a hard time keeping up as the battered Montana tore through the back roads at speeds it was never meant to handle. But the suspect wasn't done making things difficult. Later, deputies said he launched a large blue butane torch at one of their patrol vehicles. At this point, this wasn't just a driver trying to get away. He was throwing anything he could find at the police. speeds are maintain on the way to trans 19 south traffic and so engine together making the sign making her There you see over Eventually, the pursuit found its way back onto the muddy back roads where the terrain was rough, visibility was limited, and the trooper was fighting just as hard to keep control as he was to keep up. But this time, the road itself was about to become the biggest obstacle of the chase. red color. Ready for There he is. But I'm stuck west on 3670. >> After 36 minutes of chaos, Sap finally crashed into a ditch and through a fence. But somehow he still managed to get away. Deputies in Salem PD searched the area, but he disappeared into the woods, leaving everyone empty-handed. He wasn't found that day, but a warrant was issued, and just a few days later, he was arrested. After all that effort to outsmart the troopers, his escape didn't last very long.
