Today we're going back down south. We're headed towards Birmingham. So, we've just arrived in Birmingham, Alabama. And right next to where we're going is probably the most famous theater in the entire state of Alabama. It's the Alabama Theater. This iconic sign has been a staple for the state of Alabama for a long time. Right across the street from it is the Lyric Theater, which is newer, featuring Graham Nash. And here's the placard for the Alabama Theater. Alabama always has a placard for all of its historical locations. The Alabama Theater, built 1927. Upcoming play of The Sound of Music. This Friday Ron White will also be here. Today we've come to Birmingham and we're going to check out the McWane Science Center. Never been here before, but I've heard a lot of good things about this place. Kind of a hands-on science center. Right when you come in the door, they have these spinning wheels as art on the wall. They also have a replica here of NASA's Mars exploration rover. This thing is awesome. Here is a LEGO model of the McWane Science Center. Even complete with a a LEGO here that has an Alabama uniform on. Roll Tide. The McWane Science Center is a place that's hands-on. You can come and actually interact with the science. If you know me, you know that I have a special love for NASA, space, science, etc. So, I think this is going to be right up my alley. I guess it picks up your heat signature. This is very enormous. You can even play in the water. Wow! Get it. It's floating in the water. Here. I wonder what this can Oh, I see. You pull the string and it launches the ball and you try to hit the target up on the ceiling. You hit it. Oh, so close. Every damn second I see that. Look, it's me. It's me. Here I am again. Another creation. You can even see the details of my Apple Watch here. It's my wrist. Oh, that's interesting. Here is a combustion engine. This is what happens while you're driving your car. This is what it looks like. The belts turn, which spins all the different pulleys, the crankshaft. That's turning the pistons, you can see coming in and out. Very cool that they have it set up where you can watch it moving like this. Very, very cool. You can see here the rocker arms moving up and down. You can see uh the piston moving up and down. Down here at the bottom is the crankshaft. That light coming on there is indicating that there was a fire. It combusted, causing the spark, which ultimately runs this engine. We've come down to the to a lower level to see the world of water. They actually have an aquarium section in here. Check this out. The Pacific Northwest. Look at this creepy looking thing down here at the bottom. There was even another one here on the other side. Here are fish that you can find in the Gulf of Mexico. These things are huge. That was cool. Here is an Indo-Pacific reef ecosystem. Look at this guy here with that fin off the top of him. There's another one. Wow. There's Dory. There's Dory right there. Oh, we found Nemo. We found Nemo. This is the tropical Pacific ecosystem. Here is a real mouth from a great white shark. It's the jaw of a great white. It is authentic. They even provided a copy of the book Jaws. That's a giant fish right there. Big mouth bass. And this stingray touch tank where you can pet a shark or a stingray. Here's a stingray. This is an An dedicated to underwater life that's here in the state of Alabama. Look at that catfish. The distortion room. Oh, wow. We've come up to the second floor now. And this definitely looks like my type of area. Check this out right here behind me. It's dinosaurs. These are real fossils that were found here in the state of Alabama. This is the leg of an Appalachiosaurus. This was also unearthed here in the state of Alabama. This is the right arm of that same Appalachiosaurus. Here's the right arm of an Albertosaurus. This is the right arm of a Tyrannosaurus. A Pterodon. I've never seen the fossil of a Pterodon before. And all of these were unearthed here in Alabama. So, they they take the the eggs and mix them with frog DNA here to create the dinosaurs. That's what happens right here. Dinosaur egg sea turtle. The American bullfrog. on full display. That's amazing. Okay, so we're going to head back downstairs now. It's pretty fun here. Not a lot for older children, mostly for younger kids, but that's okay. We are walking down the streets of downtown Birmingham looking at this amazing church. Thinking it's absolutely amazing. This old Gothic style church just like in New York City. This is Birmingham, Alabama. Rent a bicycle. We're going to go ahead and head back towards the car and start heading back. So, the museum today was fun, but uh kind of wore out now. So, I'm going to bring this video to an end. Just like with the Jasmine Hill episode 124, the extra bonus footage for this episode that did not make it into the final video, will be available sometime probably around midnight tonight on my Patreon, which is right here if you want to go check it out. We're getting up pretty early in the morning. Tomorrow is going to be a good day. I'm hoping to do filming locations video tomorrow. So, tomorrow will be a good one. So, with that said, I want to thank you all for watching and I will see you again tomorrow. Huh. He's a fool. Works one one one one. And hippity hop, I'll never be a millionaire. Woah, woah, boom, boom and we zoom. I'm in love, I'm in love, I'm in love. I don't care.
