hi my name is Sergeant Richard Jack assigned to district three day shift I've been on the department for just short of 25 years I was hired in 1995 and it was assigned than to district 7 from there I was promoted in 2000 I went to district 2 I was assigned then selecting the sign to the vice squad in 2004 until it was disbanded and became part of the neighborhood task force in 2008 and there I worked there until 2015 where they eliminated the Street Crimes Unit that I was assigned to and I was then transferred to district 3 you know before I currently work on the day shift I joined the department because as a young child we had a police chief in my small town of Washburn Wisconsin I just really admired him and I thought he was a pretty good man as a young child he gave us ride in the squad car and just do things like that that really made me look up to him and think that now this is a pretty noble profession it's been an honor serving the community I felt like I've done a lot of good I also feel like I've left something for this community and I'm sure that there's many assignments that I found to have impacted people and it had a positive influence on the other night I believe that and I'm gonna continue to believe that and reach out on that it's time for me to move on and let the let the young officers and younger supervisors come and take my place and do what I'm doing for the older guys it's been a quite an experience [Music]
