oh ma what a beautiful waterfall this is today I'm as far north Alabama as you can go if I get any farther I'll be in Georgia almost into Tennessee I'm Way up in the mountains and today I'm at the Soto State Park [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] this section of the dam here is man-made but this is not this was always been here it may be a little hard to hear me over the water DeSoto state park here is littered with waterfalls and scenic overlook throughout the park and we're going to try to see as many of them as we can today hopefully we can get most all of them at least the big ones like this this particular waterfall is called DeSoto Falls named after the park because it is the largest waterfall here on the property in the top of this mountain just so did Falls is part of the Appalachian Mountains and there's a lookout we're going to go to where you can look out and see Georgia and you may even be able to see Tennessee off in the distance I did an episode a couple months back I'll put it right here where I was at the the lowest point in Alabama you couldn't go any further south before you cross over into Florida now this video I'm at the farthest point north I can't go any further without crossing into Georgia or Tennessee this waterfall and this entire State Park is named after Hernando DeSoto he was a Spanish explorer who traveled its parts also today I am going to save all the drone shots till the end even though I may visit a few of these beforehand I'm gonna save all the drone shots until the very end of the video and compile them one right after the other instead of recording the scene having a drone shot recording the scene having a drone shot I'll just record and put all the drone shots all in one we've traveled down the path now and now we're at Little River Hall all of these waterfalls are all connected it's one river and it leads all the way back to get stand it ultimately comes off the Tennessee River over by Scottsboro and that's what we went to the Unclaimed Baggage place just on the side note my wife did tell me she did want to return to the Unclaimed Baggage store before we left this time so on our last day here we'll go back to Unclaimed Baggage before we head home if you don't remember Unclaimed Baggage is where I got this vlogging camera from I'm going to hit I can find a way to get down they are closer to the water polo [Music] unfortunately though I do have bad news about this waterfall but there's a ranger here who told me that I can't fly my drone here we're gonna venture off the trail here just a little bit about 3/4 of a mile back this way there's another waterfall that you can't get to by car so we have to do a little hiking I'm wearing my tennis shoes today I'm not really in my hiking boots so hopefully this isn't too far away this is absolutely awesome here it's a freshwater spring just coming up out of the ground running down the mountain that's really cool I've never seen a freshwater spring just pull water out of the top of the ground before like that it's interesting as you're hiking go long you run up to this shark cliff you think they'll get mad at me if I stopped to take a leak out here [Music] well nobody came boss so I guess that means I'm good the trail is starting to go down now if they hit me with Himalaya going down I guess when look to the right of time hey that's beautiful down here I'm singing basketball game is really smooth the earth is such a beautiful place the fact that there are places like this and us as humans can get to them and enjoy their beauty it's amazing look at this awesome rock formation here water running from up underneath it [Music] I certainly think that this waterfall to me I like it better than I did the big waterfall [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] we made it back to the car we're gonna hop on the road and the it back home I have made it back in from DeSoto State Park I've dropped a me off at work it was a fun fun fun day getting to see the waterfalls and taking our little hike I really enjoyed that a lot but I'm gonna go ahead and in this video now so I want to thank all of you for watching and I'll see you tomorrow again with another video [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music]
