who would have thought it would be snowing in South Alabama [Music] I don't know if you can tell but today is just a horrible day it's raining it's 20 degrees in some parts of the city it's snowing and it doesn't snow in Alabama unfortunately I had to get out in this crap and right now I'm about to go into my local Walmart there's a couple of Christmas presents I need to pick up I'm out of Walmart and no these aren't suspenders it's I'm wearing a jumper to keep me dry and warm [Music] so what better is there to do hold on the coldest day of the year the nastiest day of the year I mean literally it's awful out here I'm gonna get out in the town town area and record a vlog it makes sense to me Montgomery has gotten all decorated for Christmas [Music] the big old prisons underneath it [Music] by the way this is the state of Alabama Capitol building I recorded the Alabama History Museum video I'll put it up here so you can go back and see that hand one thing that you might not know about me I do not like to be cold it's so cold I've only been outside of my heated car for just a few minutes and my hands are absolutely freezing the reason my hands are so cold I just figured out it's cuz this ice falling right here my shirt that's ice right here at the corner of Decatur Street and Dexter Avenue is a church name of this church is the Dexter Avenue King Memorial Church the reason it's named that is from 1954 to 1960 the Reverend dr. Martin Luther King jr. was the pastor of this church also 1955 the bus boycott was started right here at this church on Dexter Avenue with the Capitol building in the shadows this is a Supreme Court of Alabama it's my choice to wear my waterproof jumper was a good one this building here behind me every time I see that building I'm reminded of ghostbusters [Music] we have a very controversial Senate race going on here in the state of Alabama all of the major news organizations Fox CNN MSNBC all of those are here because on Tuesday it is a very monumental vote [Music] in a previous video somebody come from somebody commented that they wanted to see the world famous Christmas hotdog well way up there on that end of the road is the Capitol building it's a straight shot right here this is world famous Chris's hot dog I really hate it when it's raining and it's just miserable outside like this because then I don't get to fly my drone and these two giant holes in this building right now I'm really wishing that had the drone that I could fly in there puttan do find creative that is an old-school front that's awesome sold applause so applaud has been here for a very long time this is an interesting placards 86 Montgomery Alabama became the first city in the Western Hemisphere to convert an entire Street Railway system to electricity in the capital city street for every company initiated Olivia's trolley service on one mile of the streetcar line the year before there was a trolley that was the first to convert an entire street over to an electric trolley system we've made it from Capitol building down to the fountain just part of what's called Court square here in Montgomery thank god this way I've documented before is that's where the Hank Williams museum is I would actually love to go into the Hank Williams Dam but all the different layers or the hand craftsmanship [Music] so I know some of you might be like well there's the better days that I could have done this but it's been raining non-stop this is like the fourth day before the fifth day now non-stop that it's been raining you're certainly right there is better days that I could have came out but I wasn't gonna let a little bit of cold weather keep me in all right I can't feel my ears anymore I think it's time to get back to the car [Music] this building here that's the RSA Tower that is the tallest building [Music] we have to wait our turn turn [Music] something that a lot of people don't think about anymore right now I'm at the corner of Rosa Parks Avenue formerly Cleveland Street this right here is the spot where Rosa Parks got on the bus and was forced to move to the back during the civil rights movement which started the bus boycott heading back home I seen this and I had to stop this van has a cow on the top [Music] look it's snowing it doesn't do that in Alabama so that means the state of Alabama is gonna shut down because since we don't ever get snow the people down here don't know how to handle it but I'm gonna go ahead and end the video there I've been out in it long enough today I want to go inside and enjoy the heater I want to thank everybody for watching and I'll see you tomorrow [Music]
