now this isn't technically movie filming location but the casting Crowns did a music video here on this campus [Music] [Music] so today we've traveled over to Rome shadow of Rome is vast and you would get die Andres to the rule [Applause] why are you here because I trusted in the owner room obviously we're not in that room we're in Rome Georgia and for whatever reason these companies who make these videos have chosen Rome Georgia to make a ton of movies at in fact this building that you see right here behind me was the main location where they shot Allegiant part of the divergent series here this is the lyndale meal here in Rome now they're tearing this building down unfortunately I am on the back side of the building now but went on the opposite side of the building where a lot of the scenes were filmed they have a lot of construction going on and they didn't want me over there filming but I was able to get a little there was a scene where the guy was looking through the window and the camera showed him from the other side that was right here themselves these two giant smokestacks are featured frequently in the video while it's showing this complex you can see them from the aerial shots and from the shots that they're on the ground running through the complex [Music] pay attention to this hollow building on your left and these other buildings as the ship comes down you can see these buildings there's also a shot where the camera pans around to show all of them [Music] these were erected just for the movie and this whole sequence was actually filmed inside of the corner building as you can see here the camera actually points out and you can see the other buildings that we talked about and as a fun nod from the directors of Allegiant they were so impressed with Lindale mill that in the movie they rewrote the script to say lyndale mission naming it after the lyndale meal here but this isn't the only movie that was filmed here in Rome let's go check out a few more now we've moved over to the campus of Bari college for a few different filming locations but as we were driving through here look what we found they call it the old meal and as it turns out this was used for the filming of the CW show Constantine here it is in the TV show Constantine it is called the house of Aberdeen on the show I just spoke to a student of this College who says this meal still works but they only use it once a year this particular meal was built in 1930 and it has been maintained by Berry College ever since then you can see here the mechanisms that make it go it's here that the inside of the building and they open a valve at the bottom and gravity pulls water up a concrete tube and it flows down that would rack that's at the very top now we have made it over to the forward building here on this exact shot where I have the camera pointed right now is another building from the TV show Constantine just like the old meal but this was used as what they called Ravens car which was an asylum basically and this can be matched up in a couple of ways first you can see these bushes here in the front and the tower the only difference is is there was a sign that came up out of the ground that was digitally added in in post-production that said Ravens car it was never actually here but this is it this is the shot I tried to line it up exactly like the video another interesting fact about the four buildings here all of these buildings this was also the building's they used in the making of the movie Remember the Titans they went to school right here they were in these buildings singing there ain't no mountain high enough that's a cool piece of movie history this scene was filmed here at Berry College this one was filmed right out front of beery College and I'll show you that in just a moment guess what this one was filmed here at berry College as well and so was this scene and you can see it in the architecture behind denzel's head there any shot where they were in school or something like that it was filmed here in fact they are embracing their movie history as this plaque denotes that the movie in that clip where they were all getting off the bus was filmed right here located off of Berry College and just on the street is the Barrie Museum which was used in the movie Sweet Home Alabama here you can see a screenshot from the movie with Reese Witherspoon standing on the front steps they were having a private event so I could not get any video but I was able to take this one picture now traveled up the road just a moment and I'm at another location this behind me is cave Springs [Music] eats with Alton Brown's and along with that right here with filming of the movie Need for Speed and also the filming of the movie identity thief with Melissa McCarthy they used Cape Springs Road here to film these shots from Need for Speed in Rome off of Cave Springs Road is where they also shot this iconic scene from the movie identity thief now we have made our way to our last location of today and it's from the movie Need for Speed in that scene they are at a cemetery and are attempting to bury someone well right now I'm at Myrtle Hill Cemetery right here in Rome and I'm standing right next to where they buried that person in the front of the camera you can also see this shot you can see but you can also see this you can see this hip stone and you can make out these points here on this tombstone I will try and see if I can mimic that same shot and just as a side note not pertaining to the movie industry or any filming locations or anything like that here in the cemetery where they film that Need for Speed is the wife of our 28th President Woodrow Wilson while Woodrow Wilson himself is not buried here he is buried at the Washington National Cathedral there and Arlington the rest of his family is buried right here so now that we've seen they've made so many movies and TV shows around here and there's still several more that I didn't name or they tore down the buildings where they taken place that I'm gonna go ahead and in this video now I want to thank you all for watching tomorrow we hit home and I
