well we're up earlier today and getting a jump start on a travel day [Music] if stopped to get us some lunch and sounds like I've said this a lot here lately but today we are headed down to op Alabama we have a family function I do have a special stop to make on the way to off today though two hours later I've stopped just off the road and a smaller town Troy Alabama because they have what they call the Pioneer Museum this is what caught my eye from the side of the road this thing is awesome they have tons of cottages and cabins for you to explore this place they've collected some neat old stuff here and I'm going to tell you the Train is pretty good but this is also one of my favorites I don't know what year this is but you have to bring the knob to start the engine this thing is awesome they've rigged up and added a battery a current-day battery and sitting right in front of it is also Adams general store look at these old gas pumps on the wall these old Texaco gas pumps here's the Gulf one they even have a u.s. army jeep Oh this is nice as I explained and the video idea down riverfront the day before yesterday I'm very Danis tolik I love old and unique stuff in a room where they have some old vehicles from the Pioneer and check this out she must have been rich and famous this old stuff is really really cool all these buggies cotton wagon I find this section to be especially interesting a peach to coffin is this right here lay the coffin down on this and roll it wherever they wanted to go but look at this one the first purse and it was horse-drawn even has a real wooden casket in it as well [Music] since your carriage the forces would be connected here tools they used to build everything moonshine steel the real steel that was confiscated by the pike County Sheriff's Department in 2006 it was donated to this Museum have a section on logging and the age old blacksmith's shop there's a there's your handle Carl safe the printing press for a newspaper this museum has been a long time collecting all this stuff radio telephones they have a section here they even have an m1 garand on the wall section [Music] this section they have shops built like an attorney's office barbershop [Music] drugstore with the ice cream parlor here's their bank this calendar 1908 so you can make a deposit at doctor's office [Music] and a dentist's let's walk in the military memorabilia store [Music] yeah that place was awesome now we're inside at the general store look at this and have an old post office here can we make some popcorn yes this is a popcorn maker it works now for what I spotted off the side of the road I don't want to check out the steam train this thing is completely awesome the compartments gone now but that's where the fire would be they would jump the coal and logs inside of there that powered the locomotive you can see here all the there's to tell them how hot the boiler was all the gears and levers and knobs to control water [Music] the engine number 14 I hear the lightbulbs gone but they have a slot there where the light would come off the front of it and she told me that this works [Applause] the bill still works still sitting on train tracks an extra water to eat look at how large the wheels are on it to keep it on the tracks you can see there's a building there behind me cabin over here and all these buildings have artifacts inside of home and they're all authentic here is an old cannon the train was cool but there's one more part to the military museum they don't want to show you this is probably the first one of these that I have seen in real life it's an Apache cobra helicopter it has missiles on it you can see the gun off the front of it there that gun is on it is on a rotary so it's a Gatling gun and look at the teeth on it it's kind of windy but let's see what we can do [Music] I told you that I was in Troy they have a college football team their team mascot is the Trojans the troy trojans so they erected the Trojan here just add a strap middle I made that at a scrap metal it almost has like an Optimus Prime kind of look doing from Transformers all right I'm done checking out this museum now we got to scoot on down the road over to hop Alabama again [Music] we finally arrived in hop Alabama I'm gonna go ahead and end the video now I hope you enjoyed all the old stuff the plans are we're gonna be here until a little bit after lunchtime tomorrow and then we hit the road headed north well first I have to stop by the house and pick up my doggie because she's going with me and then we're hitting the road headed north to check out some locations that we've never been to so I'm gonna thank you I want to thank all of you for watching I hope you have a good night and I'll see you tomorrow [Music]
