imagine learning that someone put up a hidden camera without your knowledge somewhere private where you thought you had nothing to worry about imagine learning that the someone recorded footage of you and revealing situations and they posted this footage online without your knowledge for the whole world to see it's actually pretty scary to think about yet this was the case for multiple different men and women here in Athens Georgia most of them had no clue that their revealing photos and videos were online and they had been online for many years in some cases today is probably one of the most miserable days we've had in a long time I don't know why I chose this day to get out and film a video because it's been hot and it's been beautiful but today it's cold and very cold and dark and gloomy but back in 2019 one woman came forward after shockingly discovering that revealing pictures and videos of her were posted online this led to an investigation that uncovered hidden cameras that had been placed in several public and private bathrooms there were numerous women who were recorded having sexual relations with a man and they didn't know they had been recorded and then these videos were uploaded to amateur websites without the woman's consent and then there was hundreds of more people who were recorded without their knowledge just as they were walking down the street or out shopping just going about their lives all of this footage LED law enforcement back to one man who was at the center of it all as I said I'm back in Athens Georgia and I am going to be talking about this man and his sick sick hobby I have all the photos and videos from all of this and there's much more that I didn't even talk about yet but I'm going to be talking about a ivery Hogan Pendergraph he's a sick perverted manipulating keeping Tom he's going to be coming up for parole very soon after only serving just a couple of years behind bars for all of the destruction that he caused and more the story today is shocking to say the very [Music] least so this whole story first came to light on August the 17th of 2019 when a woman named Caitlyn Brooks got a text message from her mother that had a link in it I don't know how her mom came across this link and when Caitlyn clicked on the link it took her to an amateur website and the link opened up to multiple photos and multiple videos of Caitlyn nude getting in and out of the shower and using the bathroom Caitlyn uh immediately noticed that these videos were taken from her own bathroom and she immediately put her head in her hands and she began having a panic attack just because of the pure embarrassment that she felt in the moment the video was something new I mean Caitlyn didn't take it this was all new to her so Caitlyn goes into her bathroom and she tries to figure out the angles at which the videos were shot and she finds an unusual hole in an electrical outlet in her bathroom the outlet worked just as it was supposed to so she really didn't pay much attention to it prior to this but the area on the side of that outlet it just looked out of place to her after inspecting it further Caitlyn was able to figure out that this electrical outlet unbelievably had a camera inside of it Caitlyn immediately knew what happened because just prior to all of this she had rented a room in her home for a short amount of time to another student at the University of Georgia who was studying computer science his name was Avery Hogan Pendergraph but he went by just Hogan Hogan lived with Caitlyn for just over a month and she thought she was helping him out by renting him this room at the end of that first month though Hogan didn't pay her anything for his rent and utilities and he very quickly moved out one day while Caitlyn was going to school was a pretty slimy thing to do throughout the time that Hogan was there Caitlyn learned very quickly that the two of them didn't really get along for starters uh Caitlyn said that he was weird and that he said some weird stuff to her and then like almost right after he moved in he went to Caitlyn and he told her that he went and bought some security cameras to put up inside of their home Caitlyn told him no that she didn't feel comfortable with the cameras in her home it was a big fat No No cameras at all so on that 17th after discovering these videos of her online Caitlyn immediately calls the police and she tells them everything she told them about the camera she found in her bathroom and she gives them Hogan's name a detective came out and he took pictures of Caitlyn's bathroom and he investigated what was going on and that led to a search warrant being issued for Hogan pentagraph Home In lrange Georgia where he lived with his parents most of the time and during that search of his parents home officer seized a couple of computers uh an iPad and a cell phone and then in Hogan's bedroom in a drawer officers discovered multiple hidden spy cameras officers found this key fob it looks like a car key but it has a hidden camera in it there was a smoke detector that had a camera hidden inside of it a charging brick like you plug your your phone cord into that actually has a camera lens on the inside of it and more I mean there there was a bunch of them the the whole drawer inside of Hogan Pendergrass bedroom was just full of these hidden spy cameras so the police officers they took all the spy cameras and and all of his electronics and they placed it all into evidence later that day Hogan pentagraph was arrested and booked into the Athens Clark County jail and he was charged with invasion of privacy in a quick turn of events though after Pendergraph was arrested uh he was quickly released after just a couple of hours on a $5,700 shity Bond meaning that he didn't have to pay any money to get out so he he he went in got booked in he only spent a couple hours in there and he was let right back out but he was released with a condition that he was not allowed to use any electronic recording devices or the internet now police began investigating how deep all of this went they had a judge sign warrants to have Caitlyn's pictures and videos taken down from these uh online sites they were also able to track Hogan Pender graph's online accounts and they were able to discover that he had actually posted images and videos of multiple other women to other different sites some of the websites uh even originated all the way over in Russia the detectives in Athens were able to serve these warrants and these judges orders on all of these websites even the Russian ones and they were successful in having all of these videos and images taken down pretty quickly after they were discovered detectives now had the grueling task of identifying all of these women and once they did figure out who they all were the detectives then had to painfully call each one of the women to inform them that Hogan pentagraph had posted their nude images online without their knowledge hey this is Sergeant Scott prow with aens Clark County Police Department how are you through the course of this investigation your name came came up oh wow did you um ever allow him to record videos of you guys having sex never never consented to anything like that no no I don't definitely love this case has started out small and gone crazy hi is this Caitlyn Brooks yes this is Caitlyn so obviously I'm calling in reference to your case we've we did a search warrant on this house um where he staying now and he also had a little key fob spy camera that we found and smoke alarm one I've never felt so violated in my life altogether there were eight women identified from these videos online some of them were easier than others to name and some pentagraph even posted their personal information alongside their images which made it really easy for detectives now it was about a month after pentagraph arrest detectives were still trying to identify the last couple of these women that he had posted on these sites and investigators had a judge sign off on a search warrant so that they could look into all of the items that They seized from pentagraph bedroom when detectives got into to see all of these images and videos that were stored on all of these devices detectives couldn't believe what they had just uncovered just in Hogan's laptop alone investigators discovered years and years worth of videos and pictures that had been taken from public restrooms there were men and women and there were little kids and elderly people it was clear right from the it was definitely one of those hidden camera type situations and it showed hundreds and hundreds of people all taking their clothes off or pulling them down and going to the bathroom it was just all so invasive showing people doing things when they thought they were safe and that they had their privacy now unfortunately for investigators they actually had to sit and watch all of this disgusting footage hours and hours of footage they had to sit and watch it all and after reviewing all of the pictures and videos they were able to narrow down the footage to a few different locations that were all in the Athens area one location was a uh local Starbucks bathroom there was a hidden camera in a women's bathroom in one of the dorms at the University of Georgia and then they even discovered footage from a church a woman's bathroom in a church of all places along with all of that footage investigators found hundreds of videos and images that have been taken of people who were just all out in public they were walking down the street or shopping or eating none of them knew that he was recording these videos one of the videos that he actually recorded shows a high school teenager standing by the road waiting for the school bus well detectives were able to confirm that this video that he he recorded was from right here at pinag graph's parents home he pointed his camera right out of his window facing this way right over here towards this house and mailbox now while investigators were searching Hogan's iPad detectives found sex tapes videos of Hogan Pendergraph having sex with multiple different women who none of them seemed to know that they were being recorded and then the detective stumbled across multiple folders that had ped pictures and videos of women in it and these were taken from inside of a couple of residential bathrooms inside of people's homes all of this footage consisted of women getting in and out of the shower and using the bathroom and doing random stuff like brushing their hair and brushing their teeth and that kind of stuff investigators couldn't believe that they had just uncovered all of this and it turns out that it's actually gets even worse than what they initially thought some of the footage that Hogan pentagraph had highlighted in his computer as some of his favorites consisted of prepubescent children it was hidden bathroom camera videos of little boys and little girls going to the bathroom and then some of the videos that he recorded just on the street it also had a lot of kids in it like the girl waiting for the bus and along with that detectives found how-to guides on his computer for how to groom young children now I have blurred these paragraphs out because I don't want to be the one to pass this information on to someone who might actually use them but it's absolutely horrible it appears to talk about going overseas to do this kind of stuff and it tells the reader how to hide them in plain sight and it even talks about creating a community somewhere where a bunch of pedos can live here uh near where Caitlyn Brooks lived a neighborhood like this with just nothing but pedos who yeah it's it's horrible absolutely horrible I was horrified and it made me sick to my stomach after reading all of this and it definitely makes me do more to want to help now reading these Pages um Not only was it disturbing for me but it was also disturbing to the detectives that had to read them and immediately after they saw it they knew that they couldn't leave Hogan pentagraph out on the streets out on Bill it it was clear that he was planning to hurt a small child and it was heading that way very quickly so detectives immediately went to a judge with the mountains of evidence that they had uncovered and they filed all the proper court documents and they had a judge revoke Hogan Pender graph's bail so he could be locked back up and he would stay in jail until his trial it was here as detectives were digging into pentagraph past they learned that this wasn't the first time he had done this type of stuff 5 years prior to the incidents I'm talking about in 2014 Hogan pentagraph was arrested in lra Georgia true County and he was charged with 21 counts of invasion of privacy that stemmed from a a situation that happened 5 years prior to 2014 right around 2009 when a 21-year-old Hogan pentagraph met victim number one they dated for a while and during the Rel relationship he made her feel really uncomfortable and eventually they broke up and they went their own separate ways and they never saw each other again but all of the sudden in 2014 5 years after they had split up victim number one found her nude photos and videos online without her consent victim one called and made a police report and Hogan was arrested and he was initially charged with 21 counts of invasion of privacy because that's how many videos and pictures he had posted of her online but as the time came for there to go to trial The Troop County district attorney offered Hogan Pendergraph a deal he couldn't refuse out of the 21 felony counts of invasion of privacy Hogan Pendergraph pled guilty to just two misdemeanor counts of invasion of privacy and he was sentenced to just one year of probation that's it so now we fast forward back to 2019 and the detectives are investigating these new crimes so he got off a probation and immediately went home logged on he started off after his probation ended by networking with people on social media he began dating women again and that very quickly led to Hogan pentagraph taking images of his first few victims and then he photoshopped their faces onto other nude women's bodies and then he would post those photoshopped images online and then he moved on from making the fake images to the vast network of hidden cameras that he placed all over the everywhere like in the Starbucks and the school and the church as I talked about at that same time he rented a room from Caitlyn Brooks who was the one who called the police on him Caitlyn said that Hogan was weird so she really didn't give him much attention so he put that hidden camera Outlet in Caitlyn's bathroom and he got those videos of her coming in and out of the shower and using the bathroom and he posted them online along with comments that said things like I want to rob her of her private life in a cruel and degra way and another post on one of her pictures said her life is no longer hers it's yours forever after Caitlyn Hogan rented a room from another victim who also called him weird and this victim was one of the women who received a call from the police department and then she was informed that her nude photos were online so she went looking and she also found a hole in her bathroom that was right at the bottom of a cabinet and a mirror it actually looked like it belonged there so she never paid attention to to it but this hole led directly to her guest bedroom the room where pentagraph had stayed when he stayed with her it was a full-fledged peephole there so every time that she went in to get in the shower or was in the bathroom changing clothes pentagraph could watch or record her from this peephole and she never knew it Avery Hogan pentagraph escalated from there and he began hiding cameras and filming himself having sex with the last few of the victims on the list at least one of those victims was drugged and was completely unconscious when he found himself having sex with her and then he took those videos and he posted them all hornhub now all of this happened over the four years from the time of his probation in in 2015 up until 2019 when Caitlyn called the police and he was arrested so in that relatively small amount of time just four years it had gotten this far from him photoshopping nude images all the way up until him drugging and assaulting a woman had it not been for Caitlyn calling the police when she did who knows how much longer this could have gone on I mean this four years had passed and no one knew what had happened it could still be going on to this day had she not found out about this and called police now Caitlyn not only did she have to deal with the sheer embarrassment of having her nudes online for everyone to see but Hogan pentagraph also posted copies of her driver's license and a picture of her debit card online with her nude photos so on top of everything else Caitlyn also had to cancel her debit card and in her head she knew that pervy men were not only looking at her nude online but he had posted a copy of her ID so they also knew where she lived at and this messed with Caitlyn real bad Caitlyn quickly became paranoid all of the time it affected her daily life and Caitlyn had a job and she was also in law school at ug but once she found out about all of this it got to the point where she couldn't focus at work or in class and this led to her dropping out of law school and quitting her job and she just spiraled into a deep deep depression Caitlyn just could not shake the fear that someone was watching her and it caused her to lose all sense of security so she moved back home with her parents for a short time and even then living in her parents' home she would wake everyone up screaming claiming that someone was filming her from the attic and this was just because she would hear a noise or something Creek up there it it was absolutely horrible now on March the 10th of 2022 Hogan Pendergraph plad guilty to a few charges that we're going to talk about here in just a minute but the very next day after that on March the 11th Caitlyn Brooks had a mental breakdown because of all of it she wasn't able to go to his hearing the day prior and at this point she was suffering so bad from what Hogan pentagraph did to her that she felt backed into a corner and she felt like she had no other option and she un alived herself Caitlyn just couldn't face what pentagraph had done to her and she couldn't get over it and she made this decision because of it it's just so sad Caitlyn was such a sweet girl and she thought she was actually helping him by renting him this room and he completely dest destroyed her life now after investigators discovered the extent of what pentagraph had done they went to a judge and they had his baill revoked as I talked about earlier he was quickly locked back up and at this point he was now facing a Litany of charges in both Athens Clark County and in lra troop County while pentagraph was in jail waiting for his trial he actually called several of his victims for whatever reason and it's assumed that it was for one last attempt to try and assert some kind of power over them one last time but I mean really no one knows I'm calling you because I love you and and I feel like I'm God my witness I have not done that to you are you there you are a liar everything you say is your calls are giving me a panic attack do not call me again now the district attorneys in both Athens and lrange they work together on pentagraph charges they wanted to work it out between the two counties so that by the time all of it was said and done Hogan pentagraph would spend the rest of his life Behind Bars troop County lrange was up first and they offered pentagraph a plea deal and he accepted it so on March the 10th of 2022 Avery Hogan Pendergraph pled guilty to two counts of racketeering or Rico five counts of sexual exploitation of children nine counts of invasion of privacy one count of criminal trespass passing and one count of possession of EAS dropping devices seven out of his eight like main victims were all in attendance for the sentencing and as per his plea deal he was sentenced to 50 years in prison with the possibility of parole plus 20 years of Probation and he would have to register as a sex offender this plea deal guaranteed pentagraph would be locked up in prison for just a minimum of 9 years before he would be eligible for parole now if you subtract his time served because he was locked up up until his court date and all that this backed everything up to 2019 it meant he would be eligible for parole in 2027 right but as I said a minute ago lrange worked with Athens and they they worked out this plan that they had come up with and Athens was going to go for a mandatory 25e sentence on their charges which meant if the Georgia Pardons and Parole Board granted Pendergraph parole in 2027 then and only then would pentagraph start serving his Athens sentence which would keep him locked up until the year 2052 that would make him about 65 years old when he would get out but he would still have another 45 years on supervision and then he would be well over a 100 before at the very least he wasn't being watched by the Georgia Department of Corrections it also meant that if he got out in 2052 for the rest of his life if he did anything at all that broke the law his parole would be violated and he would go back to prison and he would serve all that time behind bars so the Athens District Attorney went to Pendergraph and offered him a plea deal charging him with and aggravated sodomy for the woman that he filmed himself with who she was unconscious those charges was It was a a straight 25 years mandatory sentence no parole or anything well pentagraph turned that plead deal down and unbelievably after pentagraph said no to the ple deal the Athens da just dismissed the and aggravated sodomy charges and she went behind the back of all the victims and she allowed pentagraph to accept a plea deal for just three counts of invasion of privacy for 10 years in prison but what made it even worse was that the Athens da allowed him to serve those 10 years at the same time with the troop County sentence so Hogan Pendergraph was going to get no extra consequences for his crimes in Athens Georgia the victims and the community were dumbfounded as to why the Athens da would do this which meant Hogan Pendergraph could get out on parole in 2027 letting a dangerous sexual predator right back out onto the streets it was mindboggling to everyone now the athis da Justified her actions by going to the media and she said that she did it because the victims didn't want to go to trial but then all the victims came forward and said that that wasn't true at all and that they were never asked about any of it it seems more likely that the Athens District Attorney's case load was so large that it was her she didn't want to have to prepare for a trial which would give her a lot more work she would have to do and she allowed him to take this plea deal to take this off her plate the victims all said that they felt deceived cheated and lied to by the Athens da and it even led to all the victims joining together and they filed a lawsuit against the Athens da for how she handled this they were all just so pissed and rightfully so so now here we are in 2024 with Avery Hogan Pendergraph coming up for parole in just 3 years from now of course the uh Pardons and Parole board could deny his parole but in Georgia unless he gets another charge or something while he's in prison it's very unlikely that they're going to deny him all of the victims have said that they're going to be there at this parole hearing to tell their stories and to fight to keep him behind bars and they plan on doing this the entire 50 years if necessary but it's hard not to think about what could have been if the Athens da had just put in a little effort to protect these victims and the public maybe she could have offered him another deal that was just a few years less or something or maybe if she had just gone to trial with all the evidence that they had and got him convicted none of the victims would have to worry about this for at least 25 more years and it would have made a huge difference now just based on the sheer amount of people that pentagraph recorded using the restroom and shopping and walking down the street it's a massive number of people and based on that I can say with certainty that that it would have been impossible for law enforcement to identify everyone on those videos there's just no way so honestly they probably didn't even try and because of this I'm pretty sure that there are probably many many people out there who pentagraph recorded using the bathroom and whatnot and to this day these people probably have no clue that he even recorded them or that they're on video doing this the victims are going to do everything in their power to keep him behind bars to protect the people since the Athens da apparently didn't care to do it now I don't know about all of you but I think from now on after hearing all of this in the story I think I'm going to be looking around anytime I enter a public bathroom from here on out anywhere I go because I mean creeps could be doing this anywhere that is going to do it for this story today from here in Athens Georgia I'm going to go get out of the cold you know yeah like I said earlier yesterday it was like 70 75 degrees and it was hot and I had shorts on and today I'm absolutely freezing to death it's
