thank you you know we're talking about I was talking to my good buddy doc senator Craig there about mrw 71 a doe and we were talking about his channel and all that the one thing I think we agreed on - that he needs to do some advice for you I think your name is Michael right is to change the name of your channel you know Mr w71 a toe doesn't say anything you need to get a nice channel you know name like nomadic fanatic or the carpetbagger or Mark funnel-cake Jones you got to have a really cool name of your channel and I don't know you know it's easy to change your channel name you don't have to you know you just go into the YouTube settings and change the name of the channel but think of something like you know Alabama Explorer or Bama mite course I don't know something like that to people that's easier for people to remember especially the numbers I'm always I don't remember those numbers I reckon you know your initials probably and some crazy number that I don't know what it means you know you need to I think maybe make a change in your channel and give it give it a really cool funky name okay in the comments just throw out a suggestion he said Alabama Explorer or Bama Mike something to that nature if you think you know something that I could title this channel put it down in the comments below and let me know and we'll pick something here over the next week [Music] [Music] last week we went to DeSoto State Park and it was named DeSoto state park because Hernando DeSoto he was the first person to find that waterfall in that entire area there well today we're checking out another Hernando DeSoto location here in Alabama today we're checking out DeSoto caverns there is Hernando DeSoto here of an old mine in fact as a matter of fact I remember when I was a little kid this used to actually be a mine and they would let kids pan for gold out here it looks like now it's fallen into disarray but you used to be used to be able to pan for gold in there now we will see if they move that to a different area the family fun park here will open officially next weekend and when it does they have all kind of need attractions here for everybody a very small miniature golf course very small a water balloon data replica of Hernando DeSoto whose ship they used arrived in America [Music] a plane where you can walk the plank all together I'm gonna say they did a good job here on this ship suits of armor but their machine well they have multiple gyro machines here this one I guess to spin you around oh here's another one [Music] they had these little pedal cars here and you can race around the track so these are gonna be pedal cars for a grown-up's razor scooters that you can play on and this would be paddle boat the waters not in there yet and they're taking the powder boots out but here's a neat little carnival ride tubs of fun and DeSoto's phones all their water balloon battle area you can hide behind in the windows the doorways and throw water balloons at each other yeah a motorized train and it's not on a track but it circles around the property Val King that overlooks their their maze [Music] they don't have the stuff open yet because it doesn't officially open till next week they just opened the cave up today a new section for gemstone mining what used to be on the other opposite side there used to have water that was down from all the way down to the bottom where they would practice the mining but you can see that this wood it has been exposed to water for so long that it just won't hold up anymore now that we've checked out the park it is time for us to head down into the cavern and check it out the thing that a lot of people don't know is my parents brought me here when I was a young child the entrance to the cave now is different than what it used to be when I was a child and we came here it's up above where it is now and I'll show you the entrance where we will be entering the cavern is now down here under that covered roof right behind it here is this brick alright this gravel walk way which leads here to these rocks [Music] if you look you can tell that this is not raw this is concrete [Music] there's also openings from up above and cables for the power etc this used to be how you got down into the soto cavern not the way that we will enter in a few minutes wow the sun's coming in bright right now a lot of people don't know that though in fact they walk right past without ever knowing that this is the new entrance compared to the old entrance we are headed down into the cavern now
