all right all right that e all right everybody here from D2 or the ntf that's worked here before knows why we're here there's been seven shootings in this area in the last three months number of them one of them has resulted in a homicide last night we had three victims we know how hard it is to work here because quite frankly we're not getting coop operation from the victims let alone the offenders and we've got our work cut out for us we had a meeting today at the fusion Center to start doing some good link analysis and connect a number of other incidents such as car arson and other events to last night's issues there's an ongoing feud here it's immature it's mindless and it's putting the neighborhood at risk but we've still got to do something about it now we're going to be working hard to secure compli iance from the victims as well as to identify the offenders so we can hold them accountable for their actions in the meantime a big piece of what you do here is fear reduction for all the people in this neighborhood that aren't part of this stupid Feud but are at risk because immature Reckless people want to use Firearms to resolve their beefs so you'll be out here we'll continue to do the best we can to provide you upto-date intelligence information and help you focus your efforts on the offenders and locations most likely to be involved in the next attempted shooting be safe back each other up and we're going to work closely with you to make sure you have what you need to succeed in keeping this neighborhood safe now the mayor i' like to say a few words to you as well we're g to give that opportunity now Mr Mayor thank you very much Chief and I want to thank all of you for the work that you are doing for the people of the city of Milwaukee you can see by the number of kids on the porch back there the kids that are standing here um that we've got a lot of work to do in this neighborhood because as the chief said we've got a situation here where the people who have committed these crimes and the victims might not be cooperating with us and when you have a situation where the victims are not cooperating with us it means that you have a situation where they're going to they've decided they're going to settle their feuds by themselves and they're not going to have law enforcement involved if they do that and nobody else gets hurt that's their decision the problem is because are acting idiotically you might have a situation where innocent people are caught in that Crossfire literally that's what we have to prevent we have to make sure that this neighborhood is a safe neighborhood for the kids for the grandmas who want to sit on the front porch and for the good people who live in this neighborhood and that's why we're here we're here for the good people who live in this neighborhood and again I want to thank you for all the work you are doing for the people of this city [Music]
