it's extra extra early in the morning and I'm out early and I wanted to get a workout in today so I woke up early to come try to fit a workout in before my day gets started it's pretty dead here it's early in the morning maybe I need to start coming this early more often I'm leaving the gym now you can see the Sun starting to come up maybe back from the gym I'm gonna get rid of all this stuff on my face and you may wonder why I went to the gym so early that's because today we're leaving town we have a family Christmas function whoo we're about three weeks late on Christmas but it's the only time everybody could get together and travel in for it everything you said they already knew what are they so here's some things we didn't know as you can see here behind me the Sun has finally came up and we're getting on the road about 45 miles outside the city of Montgomery is a little little small town called pond level and there's really not much to the town but this one location --sykes and con's country mall this is what you get it's like the leather superstore here they have just about any shoe you could ever think of the neat place but there's just way too many people in there and it's pretty small in back on the road we've stopped in a small town in Alabama but it's not just any town the whole town is centered around an insect more importantly the boll weevil the boll weevil is really important here because the boll weevil has an appetite for cotton and its appetite for cotton led way to peanuts which is still something that flourishes here in this area small towns and what they call the wire grass flourish because of the peanut industry here thanks to the boll weevil and are looking at this mural it shows the bull weevil the cotton industry and how it made way for peanuts the local economy grew so much because of the peanut industry that they decided to use the boll weevil as their mascot and everybody embraces it here you can see wool weevil brewing supply [Music] you can see here there's even a donut shop that has embraced it they switched out the bull weevil for a donut they also have a local motel getting into the boll weevil spirit the city of enterprise has grown a ton since the peanut crops took off they left the small downtown area exactly like it always was in the city expanded out around it patriotic store there here's another mural the boll weevil is adorned on the top of it and taken over everything they even built a monument to it smack dab in the middle of the road and here she is the monument to the boll weevil this particular one is not the original in 1998 two teenagers destroyed the original Monument and this one was erected in its place but it looks exactly the same and here's the placard celebrating the boll weevil the old statue was torn down supposedly they still have it supposedly it is here in the old train depot oh I don't see any cars here but we'll see if it's open upon further inspection they are closed they closed 30 minutes ago I don't we've been here 30 minutes earlier fail epic fail as you can see here there can seal is that statue holding the bowl there's a pretty nice building right here next to the train depot though complete with a nice fountain out front uses Old Post mailbox that's really old my last three videos it was 70 to 75 degrees outside today it's 35 it's really cold so I don't really want to go near the fountains of water that's the site you don't see every day you got the American flag over here and the Eagle the bald eagle flying a hit right there some interesting town I think it's time I mean to get back to the family and get back on the road again so we can attempt to get to our destination before nightfall I think it's also important to know if you would like to see another bloggers take on the city someone who is better than I am go and watch the daily woo episode of 1649 [Music] well we finally made it to our destination we're in off Alabama and there are four little kids that's already here as well remember the last time I came to offer you I did a four-part episode from here if you don't I'll put if so one right here and at the end of the video I'll put episodes two three and four there for you to watch on my own accord since I got up early to go to the gym now I'm exhausted so I'm gonna end this video there and on days that I don't upload I always put a notification on social media either on Instagram or patreon somewhere like that so if you're ever curious to know if I'm gonna be uploading on a particular day you can always check my patreon Instagram and that will tell you if I'm gonna be uploading or not if you don't see anything then I will be uploading thank you all for watching and I'll see you tomorrow [Music]
