going to seize my phone Lane Meers was removed and arrested for having a disent opinion everyone in the room was allowed to express their noise of approval but Lane was not allowed to express his noise of disapproval this is what we call use of force or violence to silence dissenting opinions it's commonly used in places like North Korea China and Tucson Arizona as you could see everyone in the room applauded his arrest this is called democracy where the majority forces their will on the dissenting minority through force and violence the arresting officer was Brandon Williams who is Tucson police's go-to guy when they want somebody arrested for constitutionally protected activities the mayor that ordered his arrest is Regina Romero city clerk's office how I help you hi city clerk's office how are you today doing well about you I'm doing all right thanks hey uh nobody at the mayor's office answers the phone do you know what's up with that uh they're always in and out they just don't have anyone consistently there because they're just busy fortunately email is probably the best way to reach how many how many staff members do they have in the mayor's office I have no idea a lot I think but I don't know for sure they don't have anybody that can answer the phone and okay I mean they answer sometimes I I don't they don't have a regular staff person on there all at the phones all the time um I'm aware of so they just when they're available they're there and they're not there not they're in and out all the time who are we supposed to cuss out then send it in an email um or come to a meeting what's that or come to a meeting and there's public you can talk at the public um uh public talking during the meetings during the mayor council meeting if you want to if you have a a opinion on something okay I can cuss her out during the public meeting well you can't cuss out you'll get taken out of there but you can voice your concerns if You' like um so I can't cuss during public comment uh no they will uh tell you to leave really will they will they drag me out by force I don't know they police there they might I don't know are you are you familiar with the arrest of the woman up in Surprise Arizona about a month ago where she criticized the uh the attorney the City attorney and uh they had her dragged out by the police and now they're getting sued for it no oh you should look that up just just Google Surprise Arizona mayor has someone arrested okay um yeah but the reason we need to call en cusser out is because when somebody had a dissenting opinion in her meeting uh she had the police drag her out drag him out so and now they won't answer their phone so you know again you know I I don't have a problem with you I don't know who you are so it doesn't seem like it makes much sense for me to just cuss you out right now but you're the only one answering the phone so you know how do I find this mayor so I can cuss her out um again the best way unfortunately is email email is the best way to reach them they're just they really they just they're not usually here all the time they're their staff is always out doing other things they really don't just stay in the in the city hall they're they're out doing work so that's why there's not the phones because they're really just not here all the time my not here probably right now so that's just why it's just they're not you know it's not they not do anything they're just busy oh I'm sure they're doing something they're Busy Bodies they're always doing something to hurt people uh when's the next city hall meeting uh next Tuesday a week from today Tuesday a week from today 5:30 next Tuesday 5:30 do you know uh is public comment usually at the beginning of the meeting uh the call a is it's near the beginning Parts it's it's early on probably in the first like uh 30 45 minutes or something okay all right I think I think maybe we'll just round up a bunch of people come out there in
