I am a police officer sir I am a valid police officer in the state of Georgia because the laws that you worried about don't apply to me right now oh a laws don't apply to you the laws that you're trying to get me to provoke don't apply to me right now okay hey guys a few days ago I shared this video with you from Georgia transparency where security guard Michael Tarrant comes out to a public sidewalk and tells a cameraman he can't record he claims that he knows who the cameraman is and what he's doing what they're trying to do right now is they're trying to re invoke a response from you guys so he claims that he knows that these guys are trying to see if law enforcement will make an unlawful response to a lawful activity and then he himself chooses to respond unlawfully claiming that the laws don't apply to him because the laws that you worried about don't apply to me right now oh a laws don't apply to you the laws that you're trying to get me to provoke don't apply to me right now okay I'm not going any further Michael Taryn insisted that the laws don't apply to him and at one point during the encounter put his hands on the cameraman even ordered the other security guards to illegally put their hands on people don't block us stop why are you putting your hands on him stop sir I don't care with your taping during the encounter he even identifies himself as a police officer you're a security guard You observe and report I am a police officer sir I am a valid police officer in the state of Georgia okay you will be arrested for what what agency it makes no difference it makes no difference it makes no difference but you're identifying yourself as well the man in the video who appears to be an escaped mental patient holds up an ID card showing that he works for the Riverdale Police Department in Georgia the Riverdale police which means Michael you can get my name the name on the ID badge reads Michael Tarrant that's Tarrant not Tyrant there it is but when Georgia transparency contacted the police department they claimed that he is not an employee after Michael Tarrant the security guard falsely identifying as a police officer puts hands on the cameraman right in front of all the sheriff's deputies the cameraman says that he wants charges on the security guard but the deputies who just witnessed the attack refuse to make the arrest I want to press charges on that gentleman for he assaulted me he put his hands on me y'all saw it I want to press charges so if I put my hands on him I'd be arrested y'all are real freaking good police y'all are good freaking police but a few days after the video was published and all of you started reaching out to the county Michael Tarrant was picked up and booked into the Richmond County Jail while Michael was in jail Georgia transparency contacted the jail to find out exactly what his charges were easier can you tell me what his charges are impersonating a public officer or employee and simple battery because you know what his bond amount is ten thousand three hundred as of October 3rd Michael Taran is no longer on the booking roster in the jail so at some point over the weekend he did Bond down he is facing charges for felony impersonating a police officer and misdemeanor battery the court system doesn't always work very quickly but make sure that you're subscribed to Georgia transparency so that you do get updates on this story when they become available
