so at some point I got bored and decided to just sit on this bench in a hallway and wait for my colleagues to finish the business that they had to handle but with my experience and dealing with government I've learned that you never turn the camera off because you never know when somebody's going to walk up and act stupid also my favorite tactic to use when dealing with government is to play dumb because government bullies typically only bully people they think they can get away with bullying so if you look like a redheaded stepchild and talk like you have no clue what's going on usually it gives them plenty of rope to hang themselves I'm okay thank you what's happen who are you here with um just me okay do you have permission to be here from what do you mean just as I had this one on the line Josh from accountability for all walked around the corner in case you don't know who he is he is famous in the entire Massachusetts area he has sued multiple cops and had multiple public employees fired for their bad behavior while on the job bulletins and memos have been sent out about him to almost every single Public Employee in the state of Massachusetts so they know who he is and they always recognize him as soon as she sees Josh her entire demeanor changes she Wiggles off the hook and runs off what's thaten who are you here with um just me okay do you have permission to be supervisors for the [Music] um you got calls huh you got calls you got calls you said oh up here yeah in general because we just didn't know what was going on they people didn't know what was going on um you free to roam around the main Halls um just certain departments I know like for example HR is that what Pam works you both have to swear you won't breathe a word of this to anyone totally yes especially Sterling if he found out I might have breast cancer he'd be devastated you don't know Pam from HR oh she's a everybody knows Pam from HR come on you you never dealt with Pam from HR oh my God gossip gossip queen so this information cannot leave this Pam what the hell what nothing if you're texting about my I'm not I swear this is about breast cancer oh you poor thing let me tell you gossip queen Pam see she knows everybody's business cuz she's HR but she's such an idiot she'll post it all over Facebook Pam what what is wrong with you I can't help it it's like a disease p Pam is such you know Pam from HR right I mean everybody knows Pam from HR Pam no you don't pam pam pamam pamam pam I'm okay I'm okay I'm good we don't have a we have other people oh you have other people Pam well you're lucky then Pam's a a real okay hope I don't have to do it very anytime soon yeah and and and word of advice don't tell her anything you think you can tell HR things and it'll be safe with her no she'll blasted all over social media just like I will your mom's got breast cancer she watching Pam damn her piggy little eyes oh Piggly so how long have you been with Boston PD we're not part of Boston PD we're just part of security for the building itself um but if you give me one second we do have a um Sergeant sta he's one of the BPD officers that do work here you could explain like the full rules and regulations help you guys out just so I don't what's his name Sergeant where's Sergeant is he on a different floor I'm kind of curious these other yeah let's go let's find those these other people're over there I see to miss Josh's big squishy body I don't know what's going on like R not nice so then he started taking pictures of me but I haven't even spoken to this penty he called me uh a First Amendment auditor thing he wouldn't elaborate on what a First Amendment auditor does but he said that I was is all online everything needs to be submitted online as well so like the gentleman what do you do like there's like the gentleman that was just in here that was needing some help and she was she was taking care of and then Sila was interrupting by talking to me and causing her a problem with her conversation okay that he wanted to get all pissy about um but um what do you do for people that come in like that gentlemen that don't have the ability to maybe use the internet use that kind of stuff will you guys sit down with them and help themill help fill it out hopefully not this lady though right cuz she's she's clearly shown she doesn't really have a very good ability to interact with the public I know she actually she's really helpful normally yeah she's just having a bad day today you've been extremely helpful but she just had a little bit of an attitude we have we have an online portal we have an we have a computer we use in here so we help people somebody can go use that computer yeah with our Assistance or we help them do it on their phone it's easier we want to teach them how to do better next time so they have to in if they don't want to um so we do just help people one-onone yeah well look you know he wants to talk about people being a First Amendment auditor and reporting for no specific purpose I I'm an attorney actually and I have a particular belief that people should be able to come into their government and actually get things like this in paper and things because I deal with a lot of elderly clients I deal with a lot of language inhibited clients and things like that and so I was just coming in to figure out that and I get greeted by Officer jackass here and then you know Queen really unha about her life um and it just really didn't need to happen I just wanted to figure out what was going on this lady has been perfectly Pleasant I came back I by the way I came over here one time and she was helping a gentleman the same guy that she was helping when I came back I didn't want to interrupt her helping the gentleman the first time and officer Sil wants to come over here and act like I'm doing something wrong by having a conversation when he followed me over here and was engaging in a conversation I don't engage in conversation with myself we all you so your name Maria thank you Maria I appreciate I'm done this is all I needed and you have language asset access so people can get help that's very cool I I I Rec hundreds of L FS yeah please and and and we have the same philosophy we want to make sure everybody who comes in the building gets the help they need and we understand there's difficulties with language access and elderly and people just AR familiar so we we do we're we're open to the public all the time and we always no look like we went to the ninth floor and I was asking Sila about it have y'all seen if you've not seen the model of Boston on it's freaking amazing he does want to answer a question about whether he's seen it or not but yeah everybody's been helpful nice and pleasant until you know silted okay I know I got it on here so I can go awesome I'm going to post mine on YouTube too just like you I'll bet so you are you are you are that's good so he's got he's got about 600,000 followers so I'm betting his video is going to be a little bit better picked up than you we really carear about that thank you thank you do you have do you have any questions she's not it's not going to reflect well office her dep anything else we can help you want do open records request of course for for what well actually that through the form do through the public records need my name for trying to introduce myself I was just trying to I I it looked like you're having a difficult time again no you're going to post a video on social media I'm not interested in shaking hands with you I don't believe you're here for the best intentions I'm we have work to do is there is what what is we we're a busy office it's a Monday morning Monday afternoon now we have work to do is there anything else we can help you with James and Company I was trying to just leave this over there and just be polite now okay thank you I appreciate that what's your name though again it's Alyssa can you turn the camera off I I set it over there to try to make you more comfortable and you're just nasty are you are you folks considering them disrupting bus here disrupting bus that's not the way it works have to ask to go outside take disrupting yes sir what's your name I'm Sergeant s I'm in charge of the building okay you're in charge the building I'm in charge of the building I'm James okay I'm in charge of my building she's getting me a public records request shut your mouth walk out the door don't happen in I'm just going to send him the email hey Jos can you help me out with the uh I'm not from Massachusetts I I can't do a written records request here in this office you can you can turn in a written records request in any and I can do it on any piece of paper then absolutely you don't need an off I figured gets processed through the six to the Law Department okay I'm just if you file to give it that's that's fine you can there's no need to be argumentative Department required to have a record CLK receive records request in every can I have a I'll show you with no it's every Department every Department okay you're deaf you're stupid you don't get out you've already been told once before your mouth needs to stop walk out the door um I'm not going anywhere okay well quit running your mouth then I'll be staring your video the entire time okay apprciate that so uh all I need to do is a records request for her footage cuz I need to post it on my social media you might want his also he took a he took a video as well that's all I need and then I'll be out of here could whether you guys can take it verbally however you guys want to do it is if I can do it in about 10 seconds I'll be out of here in 10 seconds go to our this our email everything's online well I want to do it written right here can I just have a blank sheet of paper just well you have to submit it through public records I I just checked if you sent it to me I still have to have it submitted right and I that's what I want to do and I just checked my attorney and he said that I can do that I can I can I all I want to do is write it on a piece of paper and you can send it wherever you want to send it I mean Alissa right Alissa and thank you I I appreciate it he treated us with respect and we treated respect so the reason he's the reason we're telling I didn't believe I didn't believe them when they said you were nasty I thought it was probably them that did something to you but I see now you're just nasty honestly listen no I wouldn't either [Music] yeah what's your company James James Freeman James Freeman yeah I really did just think that they had done something rude to you which is why I was trying to just set the camera well you can understand how it seems is a bit aggressive right I mean when I that's what I walked into that's why I tried to just set my camera see anyone being rude to anybody in the building so that's all that's why I tried to set my camera aside and just ask you for the records request but then you got you got nasty and so did you got NY too and you're you're with them before I'm not with them no no I'm really not I uh I know the I know one of those guys but I we've worked together on some other stuff before but all right said sir um Alyssa is there some kind of identifying I don't want to ask your last name or anything is there some kind of identifying information because I there's only one Alysa in this department okay to be honest the audience just really likes your cell phone footage better than mine a lot of times that's all right we'll forward that onto the public records portal as soon as you give us that piece of Pap hey Josh can you help me out with this um sure what do you need help with making sure that I meet all the standards for open records requests in your state um name on the uh sorry date on the top listed as an official records request just write records request on the top and then um as long as you're specific with what you're asking for just provide an email and write good citizen could have made an appointment if you really wanted to come in and find out stuffa toin lives in Dorchester I'll tell you what that's that makes a lot Yeah by people with cameras you know yeah I'll tell you this though I owned a business for about 20 years and I always had the government popping in on me unannounced to check up on me you know what I mean and so I I kind of feel like turn about is fair play right have a good day J you thank you Ma thank you well respectfully I'm I'm not really worried about their tension no don't I'm just trying to every time o every time OSHA has come out to my business they're not worried at all about any tension or any un discomfort that they cause does that make sense so to to be quite Frank with you I really don't give a what kind of discomfort the government feels when I come and check on them the way they check on me does that make sense yeah if you've ever tried to run a business You' or or you know done anything really it's getting to the point where we really just can't do anything you don't cut your lawn and you got code enforcement breathing down your neck I mean it's just if it's not one thing it's another figured you know what it's about time we flip it around where where we going Josh um we're going to go I'm follow you guys you want to follow me haven't even given me your number I'm sorry you haven't even given me your number I can give you the number to reach me man 617635 which way do we go to go to the elevator I say I say we go down the stairs elevator oh you want to go down stairs we race okay you want to race race these stairs here these are like the west side stairs on the back side we just want to go down to the next floor is that going to bring us thereor going to be this what about main stairs main stair okay thank you got it you know having U represented bodies now Samuel Adams here was um he was part of a pretty prominent family his second cousin was John Adams who later became president and first vice president of the United States but Sam was known as kind of a rival Rouser back in the day he was one of the most prominent members of the sense of Liberty back in the 1760s he was responsible for planning a lot of uh protests and sometimes what we call riots against British Authority and uh was known for getting people riled up with his speeches and such uh Sam Adams was um kind of nowadays wouldn't be considered too much of a radical but at the time having the idea of not having a king or or having much more elected bodies was was kind of a a new thing America had elected bodies when they were a British colony they were elected by local people uh the local legislatures your House of Burgesses and so on but ultimately were still under authority of the British king now one of the major problems that led to the outbreak break of the Revolution was the fact that Americans were being taxed but they did not have representation in the British Parliament so there were no Colonial Americans in the British Parliament that were representing us so some guys like Sam Adams pushed that if America was going to be taxed they should have representation too that led to the rallying Cry of course of taxation without representation is tyranny AKA no taxation without representation phe you've all probably heard before now at the time in the 1760s there was actually a lot of U not really killing but there was violence against British tax officials and Customs agents it was pretty dangerous to try and actually enforce any of the taxes in the city of Boston you would often get beaten up or maybe and feathered getting and feathered is not fun it hurts quite a lot especially when they ride you out of town on a rail uh it was a humiliating site but it often happened to the kinds of people who would enforce the king's laws such as collecting taxes on oppressive measures so as a result a lot of these Customs officials became pretty scared to actually try to enforce the law in the city uh one day in 1770 February of that year uh there was a store was around the corner from here that was owned by a guy named eaner Richardson he was a loyalist he was a tax or Customs agent and his store was actually sacked by some local Patriots he tried to get them to stop so he fired into the crowd with a handgun and he ended up killing a young boy about 12 years named Christopher Snider Snider's death angered a lot of bostonians and uh that coupled with the recently passed Townsen Act led to a lot of discontent here in the city and I'll cover what happened next at our next stop
