Not a lot. I'll see you later. Oh, that means go, right? I have 4 seconds to cross the street. Two. One. Did I make it? >> Paris, Texas police chase Otto the watchdog in circles around an intersection. >> I am walking away. >> They've received phone calls saying that Otto has signs that say things that they don't like. >> Did they send the littlest cop out here on purpose? >> We did have some customers in here that I think he had already called the cops and the cops said they couldn't do nothing about it. >> Oh my gosh. They about freedom of speech or something. It's like a first amendment right or something. >> Sounds [snorts] like we need to get rid of the first amendment. >> Yeah. >> I mean, I'm all for free speech as long as it's things that I'm okay with people saying. You know what I mean? >> And once they Yeah. You agree? >> Yes. >> Oh, hey. >> What? What? >> Okay. Bunch of you guys showing up. >> Look, you can be out here doing >> I know I can. Yeah, sure. >> You can't out here scream and saying the f. Oh, I'm sorry about that. >> Okay. You got your license on you? >> No. >> You don't? >> No. Am I being arrested? >> Well, he heard you. >> Okay. >> Say, "F the police." >> Several times. >> Oh, so it's that's what I said. That's getting me in trouble right now. >> It's the fact that you're saying a profanity in public. >> Cussing in public. Can I have a list of words I'm not allowed to say? >> Wait, wait, no. Wait, wait, wait, wait. Oh my god. >> You want to play this game? >> No, I don't want to play a game. >> Right after Otto got arrested, I called the department. I already knew what was going on. And I had talked to his friends that were there locally that were working on making sure he got bonded out. I knew he was taken care of. So I really just called the department to troll. And because for me, I think it's important when government arrests one of us for free speech that they get to hear from all of us >> for autotheft or motor vehicle burglary cases. Please press three. >> Autotheft. You have reached the voicemail of Detective Cody Logson with the Northeast Texas Autotheft Task Force. >> Hey, this is James. I've got a buddy. His name is Otto. Um, last name the watchdog said, uh, press three for auto theft. And my buddy Otto actually was just picked up and stolen off of the streets by, uh, Paris police officers for saying, "Fuck the police." His name is Otto. They picked him up and took him illegally. I think this might fall under autotheft. And give me a call back. >> You have reached the Paris, Texas Police Department. >> You guys handle autothefts, right? >> We have a couple investigators here that handle them. Yeah. >> Okay. And I got a buddy, his name is Otto, and he's been stolen by your officers. >> Yeah. >> You know of him? >> Uh, I'm aware of the incident you're talking about. That's pretty good lead in, by the way. What What can I do for you? >> Uh, can you let me know when my auto will be released from the impound or, you know, if you can find my auto that's been stolen? >> I don't know if he's still here or if he's at the county. >> You guys actually booked him for saying, "Fuck the police. Well, I don't know what that was before. I wasn't there, so I've been >> What's uh Are you an officer with the department? >> I was I'm a retired officer now. I work as a civilian up front answering the phone basically. >> When did you retire? >> Oh, uh I think three years ago or so. >> When did you start? >> Years ago. Uh 30 some odd years ago. >> Mid 80s. Wow. Are cops bigger pieces of [ __ ] now or in the 80s? Well, I'm not going to answer that question because that's a ridiculous question. >> Is it Is it >> What's your What's your friend's last name? >> Is it ridiculous because it's kind of the same or is it like hasn't >> No, it's just it's just a ridiculous question, man. You know what it is? So, what's your friend? >> Well, I I you know what I don't what I think is ridiculous is that if any other person like if I were to go out there and illegally put my hands on auto because he said something I didn't like. >> Looked up last night. >> Yeah. Yeah. But just let me >> answer me. No, I'm not going to listen to all that. >> Well, I'll tell you what. You can listen over the phone or or you can listen in person. Okay. So, why don't we have a nice conversation? >> Well, we're not having >> over the phone. Well, I'll tell you what, man. I'm trying to I'm trying to be cool with you. >> Listen, I'm trying to be cool with you. Okay? We could do this the easy way or the hard way. You understand? Now, I'm trying to be cool with you. You can reciprocate that or we can do this the hard way. I I don't have any I don't have any information to give you on the internet or make any call on the internet. If you want me to see where he's at, give his name and I'll look and see. >> Okay. Well, I was trying to ask you some questions. You got really nasty and snippy with me. >> Okay. Well, I'm not I'm not going to answer any of the questions about the incident or circum >> it wasn't about the incident. I asked you >> or hypothetical. I'm not going to answer. >> There's no hypothetical either. You you were a cop back in the 80s. I asked you, were cops bigger pieces of [ __ ] then or now? Or and maybe you alluded to the idea that maybe they're the same pieces of [ __ ] that they were then and now. >> No, but I said it's a ridiculous question. So, thank you for calling. Bye. >> I met up with my boss, Ba, and headed out to Paris, Texas. For everybody wondering who my boss is, >> I'm the boss. >> This is Ba. I don't even pay him. >> But he but but he's my supervisor >> and I do anything he tells me to do and even things that he didn't tell me to do. But I say that he told me to do it. >> I don't even call him and tell him anything. >> Nope. As my supervisor, he's at fault for everything. I can't take responsibility for my own actions. I'm just doing my job. We arrived in Paris, Texas to ask them if it's actually illegal to say [ __ ] the police in public, as well as ask if cops were bigger pieces of [ __ ] now or in the 80s. Is there a lieutenant here that I could talk to >> regarding >> on duty? What's that? >> Regarding >> uh regarding uh the theft of auto. >> Theft of auto. >> Yeah. The theft of auto >> an automobile. >> No, no, no. Auto. The theft of auto. >> Just one moment. Okay. Who did you want to talk to? >> Uh, is there a lieutenant on duty? >> Well, there's probably more than one, but I don't know what they're doing right now. So, >> any of them would be fine. >> Okay. Well, I can't guarantee they're going to come over here and talk to you, but I can ask them if they want to. >> Okay. >> So, I'll see. >> Are you retired? >> I am. >> Retired police officer. >> I am. >> Started in the 80s. >> Uh-huh. >> Okay. Um, what do you think about uh >> not I ain't I got no comment on any of it. >> What do you think about citizens defending themselves against police officers that illegally attack them? There'd be a lot of dead cops if that happened, wouldn't there? Which would be a shame. >> Hey, he's not in the building. He's out in the field. So, he's not available to talk to you. >> Okay, I [snorts] can wait here. >> Hang out there if you want to. >> Is he going to come out? Can you just tell him I'm waiting here for him? >> He's not even in the building right now. >> I I understand that. I can wait here until he gets here. If you can send him out. When he >> gets here, I can tell him you're up here. Now, that doesn't mean he's going to talk to you, but I can tell him you're up here. So, >> okay. >> Will you tell him I'm in the lobby waiting for him? >> When he get Can you tell him now? I can't hear you when you don't talk into the microphone. >> I'm not trying to tell you now cuz he's doing something. When he gets back up here, I'll tell him. >> You don't have to be difficult. >> What? >> You don't You don't have to be difficult. >> Not being difficult. I'll tell him when he gets here. >> Okay. Is he on his way? When you say when he gets >> No, he's doing something else somewhere else. He's working some doing something else. He's like doing something right now. >> And after he's done with that, he intends to come up here. >> He comes up here several times during the during the work shift. >> Okay. >> So, I'll tell him I'll tell him you're you're waiting to see. >> Okay. Appreciate it. I'll just sit over here. >> Just hang out here. >> Okay. Thank you. >> What's up? >> Hey. Uh there he's aware that you're up here, but he's not going to come talk to you. you don't have any involvement in the incident you want to talk about >> what >> if you want to get some comment or whatever you can call the chief's office and make an appointment see if he'll visit with you or call you back >> okay you can let the chief know I'm sitting out here I got I got all we need >> okay we'll just hang out you can hang out out there >> okay >> will they come faster if we say [ __ ] the police >> since the Paris Texas police wouldn't talk to me I went out to the town square where they had arrested Otto a few days earlier to see what I could [ __ ] the police AND THE CORNER CAFE. I couldn't believe my eyes. Otto the watchdog was at it again and this time he was displaying signs that I find offensive to kids on school buses. This was the sign that offended me. And from what the police said, if someone is offended by your sign, it's disorderly conduct. Luckily, the Paris police showed up again to protect me and others from words that we DON'T LIKE. >> IT'S THE POLICE. >> Oh no. Oh no. [laughter] >> Oh [ __ ] >> Uhoh. >> See you later. Have a good day. >> Good. How are you? >> Otto walked away, so I stayed to make my complaint about how I don't like his words. >> You have any questions for me at all? >> This guy. >> Who? Who is this? Who is he? >> I don't know. >> I don't like when he was singing. >> Oh, yeah. >> He says [ __ ] all the time, though. >> Oh, yeah. >> Can you arrest him for that sign? >> No. Are y'all friends or something? >> No, we we were here eating. >> Oh, really? >> Yeah. We do uh uh travel documentaries. >> Oh, okay. >> And that's what we were doing. And we were kind of filming a travel thing, a little travel vlog over there. >> Oh, really? And then this guy came out and started cussing and [snorts] holding up offensive signs and kind of I feel like ruined my lunch. >> Oh, yeah. >> Mine, too. That's why I say that's why we called. >> Oh, no. >> Yeah. I mean, my appetite is gone. >> I think he's an agitator. >> Oh, I I did. I'm sorry about I I misspoke. I forgot that I wasn't supposed to say that word. >> Problem with him, I guess. >> Yeah. >> More more the words that he uses like they're specific. >> It seems It seems like Y'ALL ARE TOGETHER. >> WOO. [screaming] WOO. HOW YOU DOING TODAY? >> It's a beautiful day, ma'am. Don't worry. >> We have There is a gang member on this corner, but we have him detained at the moment. [laughter] >> Please don't snitch on me. Don't tell the police I'm here. >> The pig goes to try to talk to Otto. >> Oh [ __ ] Oh, not a lot. Have a good day. I'll see you later. Oh, no. No. I got the sign. Thank you. [laughter] >> The pig chases Otto around the intersection and tells him that he's trespassed from the corner cafe where he's never set foot before. >> This is a warning. All right. So, you are trespassed from a corner cafe. >> Oh, from this building. >> I've never even been in that building. >> Yeah, that's fine. But they can trespass you for any reason. So, >> okay. >> Trespass from this corner cafe here. Oh, >> well that's a shame because they have a they have a watchdog special on Monday. >> Oh, do they? >> Yeah, >> it's a pulled fork expansion. Did they send the littlest cop out here on purpose? >> Uh, yeah. I just want to let you know. Okay. >> [ __ ] three sets of handcuffs. You're a bad [ __ ] dude. >> Yeah. If you do go back in there, you can't be arrested. Okay. >> Well, no, no, no, no, no. Hey, if you're going to say things, I'm going to have to correct you. >> You said if I go back in there, correct yourself, please. I have never set foot inside that building. Not even one time. Have a good day, though. Beautiful. Here, I'll give you one of these, too. Even though Otto was doing the exact same thing that the Paris police arrested him for a few days ago, this time they decided not to arrest him or even give him a citation. I went home and cried because the only reason I even made this trip was to try to get a fellow American hurt by the government for saying things that I don't like. If you can't get your government to hurt your neighbor for doing and saying things that you personally don't like, then what the hell is even the point of living in America? The police just left, allowing Otto to remain there, displaying this despicable, offensive sign. But I joined a support group with employees from the Corner Cafe where we talk about how other people's freedom makes us cry. Here's one of my phone calls with the staff from Corner Cafe. >> Hello. >> Hey, this is James. Did you guys know there was a guy in front of your store earlier today yelling? >> We did. No. Oh my gosh, that was disgusting. Did you see it? >> Well, I mean, I saw it because I was working in here and uh you know, it was crazy. It was crazy. Very crazy. My mind has been scattered all day since then. >> Oh my gosh. Was I He had fwords on his signs. >> Yes, I know. He yelled out, "F the Corner Cafe real loud several times." We've got it on video recording. He got arrested though. Did you know that? >> Oh, good. What? Uh, for cussing? >> I don't really know. We didn't call the laws. Uh, but we we already had two phone calls. Uh, I don't know if it's some of his supporters or whatever, but >> So, there's like a whole team of jerks that say the f- word. >> I don't [laughter] know. >> Oh my god. What is Paris coming to? >> Yeah. So, >> yeah, it's been a crazy day. So thankfully we weren't real busy because we were all like our brains were all kind of scattered brain today. >> I know. I would lose my mind if I heard someone say the f-word. Oh my god. I don't know how you all held it together. >> Yeah. And I mean my sister recorded a little bit of it and she uh I mean she got him saying F the Corner Cafe. I mean it was so loud we all heard it in here. So >> you said F the Corner Cafe? >> Yes. in a row. We did have some customers in here that I think he had already called the cops and the cops said they couldn't do nothing about it. >> Oh my gosh. They >> about freedom of speech or something. So that guy was pretty mad. >> He didn't even eat because he was pretty upset about it. >> Oh my god. >> Yeah, I would be too. Gosh. >> Yeah. He's got his own YouTube. >> Oh, is that is that why he's doing it? Yes, >> I heard about these people. It's like public freak out or something and they get boomers to like freak out in public because they don't know how the internet or the or the world works. >> I think so. >> So, um yeah, so my sister looked it up and it's already talked it's talking about what happened today, but it had it all on YouTube as it was happen then. So, it was live, I think. >> Live. Is this like a You're telling me that just some Joemo schmuck douchebag? Excuse my language. I'm sorry. Can run a live broadcast these days saying cuss words to the police in a public place. >> He said he does this all the time. >> I don't think it's actual charge because uh it's like a first amendment right or something. >> Sounds like we need to get rid of the first amendment. >> Yeah. >> Gosh, >> I hope it don't come back tomorrow if you get bonds out cuz my brain can't handle it. Oh, I know. I CAN'T BELIEVE I'VE never seen anything like this in all of my years. >> We didn't know. We thought he was just setting up to take pictures or something and then all of a sudden he holds up these big signs. Well, the first one said, Did you see it? >> No. What the sign say? The first sign said um God bless homeless veterans which I think it was supposed to say should have said homeless but it said homeless h o e l e ss >> it one of those play on words things. >> Yeah. >> Oh my god that is filthy. That is That is filthy. >> When he was holding up, but then >> and I highly doubt that that veterans want hoes. Yeah, that's gross. >> Oh man, >> he had like six different signs he was holding up. >> It's It's like he planned all this. >> Yeah. Anyway, it's just been weird weird things happening. But >> Yeah. Yeah. A lot of strange things happening in the world lately. But I mean to see someone with a sign with a bad word on it. >> Yeah. >> It just irks me, you know, >> that >> Yeah. >> I'm glad they arrested him. I hope they arrested him for for for talking bad about the police to disrespect our law enforcement. >> Yeah, I agree. Yeah. >> Well, you guys support free speech then? Maybe. I I don't think that we should. I mean, I I I think that there's got to be limits. You know what I mean? Like you you can't be cussing and you certainly can't criticize police. >> Well, like who's going to come in our cafe if somebody's outside yelling, you know, and nasty words and stuff, >> right? Right. We got to have limits at at some point, right? And I think that that limit I think that that line needs to be drawn at criticizing the police. Um and certainly at saying >> uh f the corner diner. >> Yeah. >> So, I mean, I'm all for free speech as long as it's things that I'm okay with people saying. You know what I mean? And once they Yeah. You agree? >> Yes. >> Yeah. Once they start saying things that I don't like though, that's when the police need to get involved and somebody needs to have something happen to them, you know? Yeah.
