let me give you a little background so you understand what's going on in this video off duty Galviston police officer sees some people at a pool in an apartment complex he approaches them and asks if they live there they said no we're visitors we're guests we're here for a birthday party off-duty Officer says well you can't be here respect my authority they don't respect his authority so he leaves comes back with a walkie-talkie in a badge and starts beating the [ __ ] out of anybody who won't leave the pool you punch my daughter you just punch my daughter it's the video going viral online but this officer beat the hell out of those kids it shows Galveston police officer Jared revas who was off duty at the time confronting and allegedly assaulting guests at a birthday pool party including teenagers then the on duty Galveston police show up and instead of arresting him they start helping him in this still frame a uniformed officer is holding down a 15-year-old kid and the off-duty officer runs up and starts beating him in the face with his fist I put a link to the full video in the description I'm going to warn you it is extremely graphic YouTube has age restricted the video meaning that you have to be signed into YouTube and be 18 or older to even view the unedited video the on duty officer pushes the off-duty officer away but still fails to arrest him after everybody gets to [ __ ] beat out of him they find out that oh yes these are actually guests of actual residents and they have every right to be here Heidi Williams says the off-duty officer punched her 13-year-old son and 14-year-old daughter in the face and he was like are yall residents here and I was like no sir we're not we're um guest here and he was like well y'all don't have wristbands so y'all need to get f up and leave so after the police have arrived everything's settled down the off-duty officer picks a fight with another family hits another teenager hits a 23-year-old man and gets in the face of their mother this fight once again instigated by the same offut officer was a completely separate brawl from the first incident he caused once again on duty galvaston officer stand by and let him fight everybody everybody leaves without charges then the cell phone videos of this off-duty cop beating the [ __ ] out of everybody at the pool starts going viral the public starts getting pissed off asking one why wasn't he arrested right there on the spot and two why aren't you arresting him now due to public outcry the Galveston County District Attorney's Office says okay we'll investigate it to see if there was a crime so now the District Attorney's office has spent 2 weeks trying to figure out if there's probable cause to make an arrest on this guy for beating the [ __ ] out of everybody in sight County DA's office says it is too early in the investigation to know if charges will be brought against suspended police officer Jared Rivas for his role in a PO pull brawl last week now I'm no copper lawyer I'm just a YouTuber who baits cops so what the hell would I know about whether or not beating the [ __ ] out of everybody is il legal or not that's why we pay taxes right so that our expert government can figure out whether our government has committed a crime or not and since I am no expert and nobody likes a keyboard Warrior I called the experts so they could explain to you exactly why it takes two weeks to figure out if beating the [ __ ] out of everybody at the pool is a crime or not Hello District Attorney's Office hi District Attorney's Office crime when they beat the [ __ ] out of every single person around them but have we figured that out still investigation yes gosh yeah I mean I things like this can be complicated huh it's really hard to tell if someone committed a crime when they beat the [ __ ] out of everybody present right I I don't know honestly yeah I mean gosh I mean it's a good thing we have experts like you guys to try to figure this stuff out because I don't think the average person could ever figure out if this guy committed a crime how long you guys been working on this I I don't know the date sir don't know the date it looks like uh it looks like at least 2 weeks maybe maybe about 14 days to try to figure out of beating the [ __ ] out of everybody at the pool is a crime or not okay I'm not sure sir cool well do you know anybody who might be able to give me some more information on exactly how long we've been investigating this in incredibly complicated case um I'm not sure but because we can't really discuss an investigation oh yeah yeah yeah gosh totally forgot about that part I can't can't really discuss it right um so do we do we have any any new information that we could release to the public about I mean know do we think that this could take years um I mean this kind of looks like the Epstein Scandal and how complex it is and how many people are involved and you know uh with no video evidence of the officer beating the [ __ ] out of everybody oh wait there i' I've got there is video evidence of the officer beating the [ __ ] out so uh do we do we know do we have an estimate of how long it might take could this be years to investigate whether this guy actually committed a crime or not no sir it couldn't be yours I'm sorry it it it so it won't be years is that what you're saying it shouldn't be no sir okay maybe months I I don't know well I mean I'm not an investigator okay yeah sure maybe you could get an invest instigator to tell me on average how long after we watch somebody beat the [ __ ] out of everybody do we uh does how long does it normally take after that happens to figure out if that person committed a crime or not because I've seen like similar things happen where like somebody beats the [ __ ] out of somebody and they usually get arrested like right there on the spot cuz we call that probable cause when we actually see it happen and and they usually get arrested right there on the spot um but it does it normally take two weeks like what's the difference in this particular case I don't know hold on one second okay yeah sure mhm District an investigator now are you actually an investigator or do you just just identify as one because I would think that an investigator would have been able to figure this out in about 3 minutes I mean normally work how long it usually takes to uh conduct an investigation after we watch somebody beat the [ __ ] out of every single person at the pool uh how long does it usually take to figure out if
