only a police officer could take an awesome night like this and turn it into this [Applause] and I know what police apologists are thinking right now if it weren't for police who would tase the band director for having the band play music but hear me out what if nobody tased the band director yeah that's just silly I'm sorry September 14th 2023 a football game between Jackson Olin High School in minor High School in the Birmingham Alabama area all as his customary with a lot of high school football games the bands are there to compete against each other as well [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] both schools have been practicing and working hard to have a playoff with each other at the end of the football game in which each school would play three songs get out of my face okay these performances were planned by both schools and were supposed to be part of the events for the evening but the Birmingham police arbitrarily decided that they were going to shut down the festivities and close the stadium [Music] [Applause] the police ordered the band director to silence his band and stop the fun but he refuses let's go [Applause] go let's go okay they were done with their third tune which they were set to play and they were all leaving now but at this point police egos have been severely damaged because this man didn't stop when they told him to [Applause] everybody [Applause] necessary foreign [Applause] [Laughter] [Applause] thank you yes the cop actually said he's going to jail because he was disrespectful to me this is what we call contempt of cop where cops sensitive feelings are hurt and therefore we have to come up with some type of charges to take someone to jail for the sake of the cops feelings it's not a real thing but it comes from the term contempt of court where judges often have people arrested for harming their sensitive feelings you see a lot of people in the U.S have become quite authoritarian where they genuinely believe that if someone who's perceived to be Authority tells you to do something you're just supposed to shut up and do it no matter what they like to call this respecting Authority but the truth is that quite often the perceived Authority is actually the one who's doing something wrong and breaking the law which in and of itself negates any Authority that they may have previously had oh my God [Applause] [Applause] oh my God [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] yeah thank you okay [Applause] the band director was taken to the hospital and treated for his injuries I tried to reach out to the apartment to find out exactly what the charges were on the band director but nobody's answering their phones and all of their voicemails are full only a police officer could take an awesome night like this I don't know and turn it into this [Applause] well done Birmingham police I'm sure that all of these kids will grow up to back the blue
