[Music] hello I'm dr. Kevin Kyle the medical director at the Pinellas County Jail I've been with the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office for two and a half years on a typical day here in the health department will deliver physical exams check lab values review x-rays and often adjust protocols for medical management we have extensive housing for many medical problems including IV antibiotics multiple medical diseases when we treat these processes from beginning to end during the entire incarceration as the medical director I oversee all of the providers physicians and AR MPs to make sure we give you an appropriate medical care even though I'm in a jail I feel very safe I enjoy my job I have great interaction with the deputies and other health care providers and it's very enjoyable and rewarding I'm originally from Detroit Michigan and went to Wayne State University undergrad followed by Wayne State to medical school I've been trained to sign a hospital with three years in internal medicine in another two years in pulmonary medicine following that I wanted to practice with my father for many years and I became a medical director at several HMOs in Detroit and also worked at the Wayne County Jail i sold my practice and decided to move to florida and i was fortunate enough to find myself here in Pinellas County which is my new home I'm the father of two lovely children 19 and 16 one boy and one girl my free time i enjoy photography right in my bicycle swimming reading on the beach and traveling i love live in Pinellas County I'm 15 minutes from the beach in 10 minutes from work yes this I'm in the right spot it is my pleasure to serve thank you for taking the time to connect with us on meet the Stars you [Music]
