that she knows she can't make her get out of the car she makes her get out of the car yeah I want you to step out but there's not a reason for me to because I told you to step out get out of the car I wasn't even arrested her I asked her to step out so I could talk her after handcuffing her the deputy repeatedly punched her victim in the face and then grabbed her by the hair and smashed her head into the Grill of her car after investigating the incident the department gave her a verbal warning shortly after that she was awarded with Deputy of the month by the department the department kept her out on the streets working until a year later when she was finally indicted with one count of aggravated assault one count of simple battery one count of making a false statement and three counts of violating her oath of office The Story begins in August of 2022 Deputy christe Newman of the Camden County Sheriff's office has pulled over a driver driver for allegedly running a stop sign she finds that the driver has a suspended license she's going to issue some citations and she verbally articulates to her colleagues that she has no legal or lawful authority to make an arrest or do anything other than issue citations she wants to make sure to properly scold the woman though and exert some arbitrary authority over her to let her know who's boss before she lets her go when the woman fails to submit things turn nasty hello hey that does that roll down it's dark all right you all right I P you over is um [Music] she was shocked as to why she got pulled over she was she didn't see that that was stop apparently she's like gotta while riding the ticket a second unit rolls up and talks with her hey buddy what did you got oh she's nonjudgment suspended but she's the only one in the car so I can't let her drive off I mean I can let her sit right here until I leave but she's on private property at this point I can't make her get out of her car just can't tell her she can't drive it you what I can't make her really get out of her car I mean if I'm not arresting her this statement made on her own body cam to a fellow officer is incredibly important to the situation she just articulated that she cannot make this woman get out of her car I can't make her get out of her car just could tell her she can't drive it you what I can't make her really get out of her car I of her car she had said that to the other officer who's about to show up as backup therefore every officer involved in this knows that there's no legal or lawful reason to remove this woman from her car but they all work together to violently force her out of her car anyways get out of the cars I'm going to break that window you're not going to break the window C I'm mobile I'll be to her in 30 vehicle you are to get out of the vehicle so get out of the vehicle you're 23 notice after the backup vehicle comes in her truck actually rocks back and forth this is because the backup vehicle actually rammed her truck get out of the vehicle right Officer just hit the damn front of the vehicle get out of the vehicle get out out of car get out right get the out of my the car right now get out get out of the car get out are you kidding Taser Taser Taser get out over now get what the dad come on stop I got him they fail oh my God they're G you're not going get up I'll get up I P my sht sorry it's all right you're okay relax I just wanted to step out the car so I can talk to her about her we already discussed it Rel I'm so mad I'm I'm so like the did that even come from it appears that this is the first time in Deputy chrisy Newman's career that she's been told no to an unlawful order and she had no idea how to [Applause] react I was coming I know I I don't know where that came from honestly she would not get out of the car you do what you got to do she was non compliant you did what you had to do to I I have I hurt her when she was in somebody trouble okay you okay well she still resisting you and cuffs she's kept saying for me to get away from her and stop Yes to me she was okay well I mean you can you can raise money in handcuffs if they still T her I just have I went asked her step out so I could talk to her about cuz she can't drive off yeah I was just going to tell her that and I was going to say hey I'm not going to make you drive I'm not going to make you you know what I mean like hey this is the deal do as you wish you can't drive but I like to tell them that when they're when they step out of the vehicle she wouldn't she told me no nothing recording I mean it's still recording but I mean it uh huh it was right here they can hear everything I'm just little shaking up you didn't see anything in the v anymore I could I didn't even no okay there's nothing I mean I I don't understand if it's just a spin glass she didn't even know that yet I hadn't even had a chance to tell her I'm thinking it might be something else I just asked her to step out because I just wanted to talk to her and she said there's no reason to I said yeah I just want you to step out and she said no she is she hurt she she's saying she don't know she thinks she might have hurt her face when you threw her to the ground or she hit the front of the car but she she's not even saying if she's for sure [Applause] H if my legs if my legs weren't so hairy I'd check my knee cuz it's killing me that t you good I'm sorry man you did everything I think you did great you didn't shoot that person I'm a hand I know sometimes I'm going to have to taste I'm just a Hands-On person I think you did great Deputy Christy Newman with the Camden County Georgia Sheriff's Office had just had a bad day in which she accidentally committed a violent felony I mean who hasn't her friends at the department investigated her and gave her a verbal warning for her actions shortly after that she was awarded with Deputy of the month by the department the department kept her out on the streets working until a year later when she was finally indicted with one count of aggravated assault one count of simple battery one count of making a false statement and three counts of violating her oath of office I will update you guys again when the prosecutor allows her to plea this down to misdemeanor jaywalking and she pays a $50 fine
