Hello, I'm Penelis County Sheriff Bob Guthrie. Distracted driving is a problem in our community as technology and the desire to stay connected become a bigger part of our lives. Many cell phone users find themselves checking their phone even when they don't notice the phone ringing or vibrating. In an effort to lead the way for a safer penelis, we created a targeted response against distracted driving in partnership with the state farm youth advisory committee to educate our community about the dangers of distracted driving. Next time you get behind the wheel, just drive. The rest can wait.
