around I said I'm packing my stuff up so I can leave okay I don't know now he's acting now he's acting all weird sir September 22nd 2023 Patrick headed up to Readington pass to camp out for a few days enjoy the beautiful views and some hikes we have an ability to see almost 100 miles you can see the kit Peak Observatory from here you can look over the entire Saro national park range Patrick grew up camping hunting and fishing with his father he's very familiar with the outdoors and to this day he uses it as an escape from the daily hustle of city life down in the Tucson Valley a lot of public lands have what we call dispersed campsites available for the public to use these are also sometimes referred to as primitive campsites because they have no improvements no running water no electricity the rules for these campsites are typically the same all across the US you can camp for 2 weeks and then you have to leave the area for a minimum of 2 weeks before you can come back and Camp again the intent of the 2 weeks in 2 weeks out rule is to try to prevent people from permanently camping on public lands Patrick had outfitted an off-grid van for camping in places just like this he had let the van get pretty messy though and decided that on this weekend he would spend two nights in Readington pass and used that time to reorganize the unit he spent the night Friday September 22nd and the following day started unloading things from the van to put them back in a more organized fashion while he was re organizing a park ranger approached him and asked how long he had been there he informed the ranger that he had arrived the following evening and even told him what he was doing reorganizing the off-grid van but the park ranger wasn't satisfied and kept pressing Patrick even demanding his ID Patrick has had way more than his fair share of government harassment in his life and decided this just wasn't worth it and that he would just pack up and leave as he's packing up to leave he turns on the camera and that's where this video begins am I doing something wrong or sir my name is Officer Lindy you can record me I know but why you hey do we have any Leos in the all kinds of questions now I have to leave or what stop moving around so much you're you're you're freaking me out now I'm asking you questions I don't want to answer your questions so I'm trying to find out how long you've been camping here okay and I told you last night what's the problem the problem is is the way your Camp is set up it looks like you've been here for a while okay okay so I we contacted you because now you said you were out here doing your thing okay now here's the thing listen you're telling me about other people's problems I don't care I came out here to mind my [ __ ] business so can I ask you a question no you can't [ __ ] off no [ __ ] off it looks like it looks like appears I don't give a [ __ ] what it appears like like you're living on the forest it appears like you're a [ __ ] Tyrant okay leave me alone that's your opinion [ __ ] I know the [ __ ] you think you are you guys think you are Patrick accidentally mashes a button on his phone turning the camera off shortly after which the park Rangers beat the crap out of him and arrest him Patrick was transported to the hospital after the beating instead of the jail and was given a citation for interference with public duties and then left the park rangers claimed that the interference was the fact that he refused to answer their questions in case you're wondering no you are never under obligation to answer questions of law enforcement off officers as a matter of fact any half decent attorney will tell you to exercise your right not to answer questions or in other words exercise your right to remain silent this means that the park rangers specifically articulated that the interference that they believe Patrick committed was exercising his right more specifically his right to remain silent which means that their arrest was direct retaliation for Patrick exercising his rights his court date was set for December 6th 2023 which was noted on the citation he was given but when he arrived in court he found that the officers had lost their copy of the citation and never filed anything with the court it appears that they simply beat the crap out of him left him in a hospital and then tried to lose any evidence that they ever had an interaction with him obviously this is not the end of the story but I don't have any further information for you at this time make sure that
