Given today's societal concerns about public safety. >> Yeah, absolutely. I mean over a thousand uh citizens per year gunned down by police officers. I understand that citizen safety >> police officers are gunned down by terrorists. >> Yeah. Same thing. >> Same thing. You compare cops to terrorists. >> Terrorism. The unlawful use of violence and intimidation especially against civilians in the pursuit of political aims. >> Well, yeah. Yeah. I don't think that's at all fair. And that makes me concerned that you would compare a cop to a terrorist. >> Well, it makes me concerned that you wouldn't. West Jordan Community. >> Oh, it's okay. We're We're just a confidential place. We don't like to have our pictures seen. Is that okay? >> You're confidential? >> Yeah. We work for an agency that >> Yeah. Where are you from? >> A confidential place. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Thank you. >> Y >> Hi. Can you tell me what you're filming for? >> I just like to. Um, why are you filming in the building? I need to know. I'm the city manager. >> Oh, hey. How you doing? What's your name? >> All right. My name's David Bricky. >> David. All right. Um, I'm just filming because I like to film public buildings. >> Do you intend to put it on the YouTube? That's fine. We just need to know why you're doing it. I'm just >> My background is I used to be a prosecutor for 28 years. >> Oh, I'm sorry about that. >> No, it's it was a great job >> for you. um for me. But I'm curious if your what your intent to do with the video is. >> I I don't really want to answer any questions. >> You don't want to answer that? >> No. >> Why is that? >> I I I just don't want to answer any questions. >> Well, I'm concerned that that you would use this information of what the interior of the building uh for nefarious purposes. What can you tell me about that? Do you intend to hurt anyone in this building? Do you intend to threaten anyone in the building? No. >> Then what's the purpose of it? I like I said, I don't want to answer any questions. I'll, you know, I'm not even required to answer the questions that I did, but I'm okay with answering those questions just to set you at ease. But >> anyways, >> given today's societal concerns about public safety. >> Yeah, absolutely. I mean, over a thousand uh citizens per year gunned down by police officers. I understand that citizen >> safety police officers are gunned down by terrorists. >> Yeah. Same thing. >> Same thing. Can you compare cops to terrorists? >> Terrorism, the unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians in the pursuit of political aims. >> Well, yeah. Yeah. >> I don't think that's at all fair. And that makes me concerned that you would compare a cop to a terrorist. >> Well, it makes me concerned that you wouldn't. >> Anyways, I'm going to get Okay. No, I don't think it's okay that they gun down a thousand people per year. Over a thousand. >> Why are you sweeping the interior of the building? Anyways, have a good day. >> No, I think I need to find out why you're doing that. >> Well, you can think whatever you want to think, but >> And your name? >> I didn't give it. >> And why is that? >> It's none of your business. >> Uh, sure it is. I'm concerned about the safety of people in this building. >> I don't I don't really need to answer anything. And >> No, you don't. But I do want to make sure that our community is safe. Then why is it that you don't want to tell me your name? >> Because it's none of your business. >> What's your uh website? Uh, that's none of your business. >> You just said that you put it up. >> Yeah. >> Then what is your name? >> What is your name? >> I told you already. >> All right. Well, I have a short memory. I forgot. >> Well, go back and watch your video. So, why are you uh filming? >> I already told you. I want to. >> No, you said because you want to, but I've asked you if you're a threat to our community. >> And I say no. Are you a threat to our community? You just flagged down somebody who is a threat to our community. >> Police are a threat. >> You just flagged down somebody. You asked me if I'm a threat. I told you no. So you flagged down someone who is a threat. >> I just asked you to compare cops to terrorists and you said they're one and the same. >> Well, I mean they kill I wouldn't say they're the same because in the United States cops kill more civilians than terrorists do. So >> absolutely not. >> No, that's actually factual information. That is factual information. >> You are absolutely dead wrong on that. Cops do not kill as many people as terrible. >> No, no, way more. >> On average, cops do kill about a thousand people per year in the United States. That number has been steadily increasing over the last decade and reached its highest peak in 2024. Now, I believe that many of these killings were likely justified where the aggressor was taking life, liberty, or property and the cop defended. It would be far more valuable to have an accurate number of the unjustified killings by cops each year. Unfortunately, we'll likely never have those numbers because cops investigate themselves. And who's going to find themselves guilty of a crime? Now, on September 11th, 2001, roughly 3,000 deaths were attributed to terrorists. But in a 10-year period from 2004 to 2013, only 36 people were killed by terrorist attacks on US soil. From 2012 to 2021, domestic extremists were responsible for about 443 deaths. domestic terrorists, meaning Democrats and Republicans. People who think that they have a right to force their opinions on others by threats, coercion, and violence. But I really don't think any of this data brings me to any real logical conclusion about who's more dangerous, private terrorists or government terrorists. Luckily, there's a much more comprehensive study on this done by R.J. Ruml called 20th century democide. Democide is defined as death by one's own government. R.J. Ruml showed that the number of people killed by their own government dwarfed the number of people killed by private criminals and every single war combined. That's right. Governments killing their own citizens dwarfs the number of people killed in wars. You are more likely to be killed by your own government than by any private criminal, terrorist, or even soldier ordered to kill you by another government. As a matter of fact, no matter where you live in the world, the US, the UK, Australia, West Jordan, Utah, the people most likely to unjustly murder you are the people in control of the government in the area you are currently in. And that is an indisputable proven fact. >> With people? >> Yeah, I am now because you waved down a terrorist. >> I I waved down a police officer. You compare police officers to terrorists. >> I told you I don't compare them. Terrorists don't kill nearly as many people as police officers. said that. >> Well, okay, I did, but you're but I I but I changed my mind. I'm not really going to compare police to terrorists because terrorists don't cure kill nearly as many people as police officers do. >> Why do you keep looking around? >> Because I'm watching my back because you're flagging down terrorists. >> I'm flagging down police officers. >> Right. And we did just establish that police officers are far more dangerous than terrorists. And I keep going back to that. >> Why? that uh that >> did you have a bad experience with a police officer? >> Learning from your own mistakes is good, but learning from the mistakes of others is even better. In the 20th century, over 200 million people have already had their bad experience with government enforcers. I look, man, I'm just going to get my video and be on my way. >> Was there anything wrong with me walking with you? >> You're kind of distracting me from doing uh my work. >> What is your work? >> Um photographing uh government installations. So, I think I just walked past one because you're kind of distracting me. So, >> I'm not distracting you at all. I'm having a conversation with you. >> I I Well, I I just informed you that I have no desire to have a conversation with you. >> Gentleman is filming the interior of buildings and won't tell me why. >> What was that? >> He's filming the interior of buildings, including city hall, and he won't tell me why. >> Okay. >> And he's compared police officers to terrorists. >> No, no, no. I already told you terrorists haven't but terrorists haven't killed >> don't tell me that it's come over here for a minute I appreciate it to me for a minute just come over here if you don't mind just hanging out for >> I got you am I detained or cuz I'll be around the area. Okay, I'll be around the area then. >> All right. Thanks, man. >> What's going on? >> Um the terrorists. Okay. >> So I just asked him to give us your name. >> Okay. Are you you work for city? >> I'm the city manager. >> Are you? uh and compared again police officers to terrorists. >> Okay. >> I just asked him if the purpose of his video is in any way to place uh citizens and any working anybody working in city hall harm. He says no. Ask for his name. Ask for also to identify his website. He won't tell us that either. >> Okay. All right. So, are you just out here filming? >> Yeah, you already know. >> Okay. >> Yeah. All right. Um, so I mean if you're >> Yeah. I just you guys deal with him. I just want to make sure our people are safe. >> Absolutely. >> The public can be safe in the building. Um, he's walking around from floor to floor on the third. Started on the third floor, went to the second and again to the first make sure that everyone's safe. >> I must have missed a floor cuz that's actually inaccurate which means I'm going to have to go back. I've only been on two floors. Didn't realize there was three. So, I'm going to have to go back to that building. I apparently missed something. Have a good one. >> I'd love to have a great one if you tell me your name. >> No. >> Can we have your name on records? >> Nope. Sure can't tell me your name. >> Oh, you'll see my name later. Don't worry.
