they stop you or what four for no reflector on the bike yeah yeah sure but what I know I know my buddy talk to you you're gonna be out here for a couple hours my name is Phil all right I'm James you're Phil the hero right nope come on dude you stop the dude for not having reflectors that's heroic bro is that it is when you go home tonight let your family know that you did something super heroic right all right man thank you for putting sometime in July I was driving around with a dirty windshield live streaming San Bernalillo County Sheriff extorting people up and down Central Avenue in Albuquerque New Mexico good how are you you're running traffic all up and down here for a while or what cool how many units you got Evan Reed all right cool I'm just I know I stopped for a green butt that cop straight up and ran that red light with no lights on and flip the U-turn in the intersection with no emergency lights on a few moments later I found out that it was necessary for that cop to run that red light without emergency lights on because he was going after two individuals with bicycles that didn't have reflectors on them screwing with some cyclists now [Music] what's up man they stop you or what what four for no reflector on the bike damn seems heroic huh how you doing good while I talked to these gentlemen because it's kind of private for them okay it's perfect for them it is it's their personal information you guys you guys cool with him extorting you for uh not having a reflector on you I mean if you want me to help you out we can just tell them to off and get out of here nah all right I get it yeah man please watch out of times not that great but if they do at least because you know what as well as I do okay sir if you can please just step back it's a public sidewalk man I'm good sir so again you guys be safe all right this is your ID back all right and you release convenience just be safe okay hey can you run me for warrants too no sir please please man run me for warrants yeah man oh come on run me for warrants that was a heroic stop though I'm proud of you that was heroic that was a heroic stop I I'm just curious uh if if you think that stopping people for not I mean I know it wasn't you that stopped them but you think that that's really uh productive as far as stopping crime or so it still is a violation in the city of Mexico you have to have a reflector on your bike and you have to have a front light sure if you don't have a reflector it gives us a reason to stop you especially if you're riding in Atlanta right well I mean I guess like you know I wasn't the one initially yeah I do just helping a buddy out you know I get that I'm just you know I just think I would I wish more of us would think about uh are are we helping victims or are we victimizing people you know what I mean no I understand so I mean I'm not gonna try and Grill you too hard on it but I just wish more people would think about it and you know if all cops were doing was going after rapists murderers people who commit crimes property crimes because there's tons of property crime around here oh 100 I think a lot of times we end up victimizing people rather than being the good guy no I understand and like and like like you said you saw my partner let him go yeah I mean we just got let them know we don't want anybody to get into an accident or somebody crash into him and then we end up having somebody yeah we're really really severely injured you know yeah I don't know I think those guys would have made it home just fine without your buddy stopping them but I was the one stopped himself all right man I appreciate you at least chatting with me of course yeah all right have a good night later that evening I found the same cop that had pulled those guys over for not having reflectors on their bikes and stopped to thank him hey I have no reason to run you you can put you wallet back but I appreciate that you had I wouldn't let you really run me anyways I wasn't gonna try but I mean I think we got off on the wrong foot I want to say thank you for stopping those guys for not having reflectors it was super heroic I mean it's not heroic at all um but you understand that there are pedestrians that get hit on bicycles at night yeah sure but what I know I know my buddy talk to you you're gonna be out here for a couple hours my name is Phil all right I'm James Phil the hero right nope come on dude you stopped the dude for not having reflectors that's heroic bro is that it is when you go home tonight let your family know that you did something super heroic right all right man thank you for videotaping it all right yep all right sir thank you have a good night [Music]
