I'm here for your safety. >> Everything I do is for your safety. >> Okay. >> So, yeah, every every night I go to bed and laying in bed, I'm thinking, gosh, I hope my government's safe tonight. You know what I mean? >> When I lay my head down at night, the first thing that I think of is, is my government safe? >> You know what I mean? Like, there's nothing else that matters more to me in life than government safety. >> If we can't keep ourselves safe and they can't keep us safe, what get is it? Right. >> Right. Yeah. Um, I did an inspection like this in Yuvaldi, Texas. And I let them know, look, you need to make sure and keep yourselves safe. Absolutely. And shortly after that, someone went and up a school and the officers stayed outside to make sure to keep themselves safe and let all the children die. You guys have similar plans then to what Ubaldi does. >> Government safety is paramount. And so, you know, >> that's uh that and that's what we focus on. I'm sure that's what you always focus on. >> Absolutely. >> Absolutely. Government is always doing things for us for our safety, such as sitting on the side of the road, running radar on us, pulling us over, giving us citations, rumaging through all our personal belongings, patting us down, and most recently, watching our every move through flock security cameras. While some people call this bullying, harassment, even stalking, we know what it really is. Government loves us and they want to keep us safe. Well, here's the thing. I love government and I want to return the favor. >> Hi. >> Hey, how's it going? I'm just doing a safety inspection uh for your guys' safety. >> Okay. >> So, um this is the only area that the public even comes into, right? And so, we just have the one security camera here. >> No, we have we have >> more inside here. >> They're all around. We have cameras throughout the building. In fact, my office even has a camera in it. >> Okay. So, we got one only one in the lobby, but that probably covers this whole >> Yeah. >> No blind spots. Is there Is it a blind spot if I'm under here? I I don't have access to the screens. >> Okay. One in the lobby and then we can see two there. Three, four. So, we got police here as well. That should be >> actually the police station's on the other side. >> Okay. So, one, two, three, four. Four security cameras inside of there. Okay. >> Two, three, four, five. >> Four. Five security cameras inside of there. All right. And plexiglass. >> I think it's real glass. >> Real glass. >> I don't know. >> Not sure. Is it uh is it bulletproof or just regular glass? >> I don't know the answer to that one. >> Okay. I'll put unknown. All right. You guys have a a uh safety evacuation plan? I'll be 100% honest with you. We are all new here. >> Oh, okay. >> Relatively new just in the past few months. So that if there is one in place, it has not been established. Not or we have not gone over it. >> Okay. So we need a safety evacuation plan >> and the police department is connected. >> It is connected, but that's a secured door. We can't go through there. It's it's locked for a code. So the main entrance to the police station is around the corner. >> All right. So the PD can get in here, but you can't get into the PD. >> Correct. >> All right. And do the employees carry inside here then? >> No. >> No. Okay. All right. So all the employees are disarmed in here. >> Correct. >> Excellent. So something were to happen. Uh we're probably kind of just hoping that the police come over. Okay. I'll put in my notes. So, I'll put uh faith in police department is kind of the security plan. >> And that I mean that works out in Texas pretty well for a lot of people, >> right? >> Um worked out for the second graders in UValdi, right? >> Okay. So, we've got security cameras, one in the lobby, five in there. We've got non-bulletproof glass all around, no evacuation plan, and the security plan is faith in the police. Is that right? >> I mean, are you plotting something? >> No, no, no. just I'm here to in to to check on your I'm here for your safety. >> Everything I do is for your safety. >> Okay. >> So, yeah, you you know, government does a lot of things for us, right? And a lot of people are really ungrateful about that. And so, I just take personal time out of my day to go out of my way uh to check up on government and make sure that they're safe and, you know, >> okay, >> for you. It's really just out of the kindness of my heart that I >> that I do it, right? >> Every every night I go to bed and laying in bed, I'm thinking, gosh, I hope my government's safe tonight. You know what I mean? >> Hey, how are you? >> Good. >> Good. >> Um, I'm actually just doing a safety inspection. >> Okay. >> Um, so I need to check on all the security cameras. Is it just the one in the corner there? >> I believe so. >> Okay. And is there one back there with you >> in my office? Uh, not that I'm aware of. All right. So, we got a blind spot. And what would you call that room right there? >> It's just my office. >> All right. Summer's office is a blind spot. What's your position here, Summer? >> Admin assistant. >> Admin assistant. I'm safety inspector. Safety inspector. Grande. >> Okay. What company are you with? >> Uh, Lorata. >> Okay. Where's that out of? >> Um, China. >> Oh. >> Do you have a evacuation plan in case of emergency? >> That would be a question for our chief. for your chief. So, you're not aware of any emergency evacuation plan for yourself? >> Okay. >> No, let me get him to answer these questions for you. >> Okay. >> Hello, guys. I'm so sorry. Chief's in a meeting right now, so I came out here instead. >> Oh, okay. >> My name is Officer Garza. I'm the code enforcement and animal control officer here in Grand Solene. Um, I've been patrolling here for almost 5 years. So, >> Okay. >> You had some questions that she said she wasn't sure about. What can I answer for you? We were uh looking into the security of the building. Um is there a emergency evacuation plan? >> There is but I cannot disclose that since this is a siegous you know secure facility. We have to take you know security stuff every year you know just to say hey we're allowed to look at this specific stuff that can't be disseminated to the public information personal information. Um, we have one in place, but it's not one I can physically disclose to you and give you the exact, you know, route. >> That'll that'll do. You You'd be surprised how many don't have anything in place. And that's, you know, that's what we're >> we're we're pretty proactive with, you know, with our community and, you know, trying to keep ourselves safe, too, because if we're not safe, how are we going to keep them safe, >> right? And that's that's where my job comes in. You know, every night when I uh when I lay my head down at night, the first thing that I think of is is my government safe? >> You know what I mean? Like there's nothing else that matters more to me in life than government safety. >> If we can't keep ourselves safe, and they can't keep us safe, what again is it? Right. >> Right. Yeah. Um I did an inspection like this in Yuvaldi, Texas, and I let them know, look, you need to make sure and keep yourselves safe. Absolutely. And shortly after that, someone went and shot up a school and the officers stayed outside to make sure to keep themselves safe and let all the children die. And that's, you know, government safety is paramount. And so, you know, >> that's uh that and that's what we focus on. I'm sure that's what you always focus on. >> Absolutely. >> Absolutely. >> Okay. Um and so you guys have similar plans then to what UVA does. >> We have we have a complete plan for if anything awful happens, we have a complete preparedness plan. We just want to make sure that you guys one have proper plans in place and two have the proper mentality that nobody's life matters more than the life of a government agent. I think that's all I've got for you. Thank you so much, Miss Garza. No problem. >> And I'm James. >> It's nice to meet you. >> Nice to meet you. >> Nice to meet you as well. [laughter] I know your name and that's okay. But nice to meet you as well. >> When we left, we were super shocked to find some guys standing outside with signs criticizing government with bad words on them. So, we went to interview some of the residents about what they thought of it and to ask what should happen to these guys. >> Be locked up. >> Locked up like in a cage. >> In jail. In a cage. Wherever. >> In a cage or a jail? >> Yeah. >> How long should they be caged for? >> 30 days. >> 30 days. For criticizing the mayor. >> Yeah. >> And for criticizing the police. >> They should be in jail for I have to say it was quite eventful, but that's a story for another day. There's nothing else that matters more to me in life than government safety.
