[Music] The Penllis County Sheriff's Office is the primary public safety and public service provider in Penllis County. And for every deputy on patrol in the community or on a post to the jail or the county courouses, there are hundreds of civilian support staff members working behind the scenes to keep the operational machinery on track. I believe we're the team behind the team. We're the ones that are assisting with the clerical things so that our deputies can be out there and and making sure that our community is safe. They need us in the background to, you know, provide them with all the tools they need to make sure that that happens. You're on a team and you have to work together to make this product work. And that that makes you feel a part of something. It's not just coming to work and going home and collecting a paycheck. you are actually providing uh help provide a good environment for a deputy to work in. Civilian support staff professionals are at the heart of many critical functions at the sheriff's office. Forensics and crime scene evidence processing, child protection investigation, computer services, fleet management and maintenance, communications and dispatch, inmate healthc care, school crossing guards, clerical support, purchasing and evidence management and volunteers. Just a few of the opportunities. There's a lot of different things available to the to the person who doesn't want to carry the gun and do the arrest. The people that handle our evidence every day. The evidence that we bring in, they have to store, keep track of, they're all civilian. Our late and print examiners, top-notch, probably as good as anybody else in this country. Civilian positions. If you just want to look for a job with good, you know, good pay, good benefits, there's plenty of stuff to do out there for you. It's good. I'm blessed to have a job. It's it's a it's nice to have a job right now to be employed and it's been fun and different experiences. You can be an investigator. Uh we have family support workers, clerical staff and case building staff that help us get all the background information we need. It takes a lot of people to make an agency of this size operate effectively. And it's us as civilians doing this job, but there's also the people in the IT unit, the people who are behind the scenes with all the different computer programs, the radio, the mechan personnel who keep our cars running. It it takes everybody to make this operation throughout the county work effectively and efficiently. Without each person as part of a cog, this whole thing would fall apart. And then the citizens who are paying our salaries would not get the quality of service that they get today. Variety, stability, opportunity, and a team spirit. I love it.
