On February 11, 2021, members of a Jacksonville Sheriff's Office gang unit were near an apartment complex when they heard the sound of gunshots. why he goes by that okay he's red yeah that's part of it yeah for sure and he's not um a rocket scientist he's not really all that ingenious so he tattooed across his chest Cosme is hesitant to identify the photos since he most likely wants to minimize his association with known drug dealers Cosme has already committed a previous felony and is aware of what kind of trouble he could get into not that that matters much now that he is looking at murder charges uh red rump which is backwards or in the mirror it's for murder is what it stands for so I don't know that I would tattoo that on my chest but um he's probably got bigger pecs than I do that's why he can get away with it um so yeah yeah so you knew him from out there as well yeah he said he knew you that's why I was asking did you know him so I talked to him in the same kind of setting and he told me that he knew you that's why I was out that's your name came up in my investigation as somebody to talk to because you knew this guy and you knew but I just I just saw him I don't know you you sold him weed no no no did he buy weed no he's a seller he's a he's a weed man out there now yeah I know but you didn't have any interactions no alright what about this dude that's kind of an old picture but do you know that dude do you know him? what do you know him from I handle something with him before before what oh yeah yeah that's nothing that's just my brief summary that's not his actual long history no I didn't pick it up um I just I just knew him when I moved from Justina when you moved there uh-huh okay um we just talk uhm for a few months then I go I go in the DDC when did you get um when did you get arrested I know when I go outsidewas at his house in 20, yeah… okay okay do you know you know this dude no I've never seen him what about this dude no okay that's good and you know what that's good because I didn't think you knew them and I know now you're you're being truthful with me on those kind of things now I've got the weirdest thing in the world that happen um I've been working on a case where um this girl her so I'm I'm a murder police so I don't do drugs and all that yeah yeah I figured so yeah this girl was 19 years old um and she's shot and killed in Justina um she's pregnant oh you know this one yeah yeah I seen on the news his girlfriend because he posted it on Facebook yeah yeah and she was 9 months pregnant um and she was getting ready to you know you've got a two-month-old she was getting ready she was nine months pregnant so she was killed and the next week uh they scheduled her to have a C-section you know what that is they basically they, it's where she's gonna have the baby I'm not a doctor and I don't play one on TV and I don't like the Holiday Express so she's gonna have a baby um the week she killed but the next week she was scheduled to go to the hospital and they were going to have a procedure where she would have the baby so the baby um so she's shot she lives for a few hours they transport her to the hospital they're able to take the baby um successfully out and the baby lives on life support for about 3 months and then the baby died so it's a double homicide so she's dead and the baby's dead and so this is um not just a murder case this is a you're gonna get the death penalty I don't mean you no no right this is subjectively so you're going to get the death penalty when we are able to prosecute that and I say that's all the best case scenario they'll be um you know trial and all that kind of stuff but it qualifies for a death penalty case in other words because some murders are you can do x amount of time I don't handle all that that's for attornies in fact we got a couple around this place um and they're brilliant people I'm not that smart um the detective is using self-deprecative humor not only to put Cosme at ease but to make him feel as if it will be easy to trick the detective if Cosme doesn't sense a threat he is more likely to reveal things he shouldn't we can play the court system so now we're looking for anyone that has any information on it which can help us out on that um so I know just because I'm really good at what I do I know who killed her I know who those people are and I'm closing in them and um very soon they're going to be picked up and arrested your name came up because on 5th uhm who you know said told me about you that you guys were that he knew you you were okay he introduced you to Dougie one day um I had some conversations about that you're out there at the same time and all that stuff miles, red rum, the guy that I showed you said that and again I'm not investigating this part because I do if somebody is killed if somebody shot or shot at but that's not me I don't handle that stuff so um so Miles, red rum told me that you're up at the store in Justina and for some reason an argument or whatever I don't know what maybe you can help me is you or maybe he's lying he tells me that you shoot at him the day before his baby mama was shot and killed so I went back and pulled all the video and I got the surveillance and I've got it so so I got you there I mean I know that you're there why would he say that if well first of all is that true did you shoot at him maybe did he no if you see the camera I'm at the store during you're in the store? when that happened? I don't know I don't know when did they shoot him uhm well we know when she was killed not the dates are fairly irrelevant but I will say that her murder happened on Monday October the 2nd so red rum was shot at on Sunday October the 6th so it was the night before he was shot at no no he's lying because Sundays. Sundays I'd be I have the weekend the weekend the weekend on the DDC okay so Friday to Friday Saturday and Sunday and I don't I apologize I just said I just said that wrong he said it was before that so it may have been the early afternoon so you go to DDC on Saturdays and Sundays in 2019 um yeah yeah okay you were arrested before this happened uh you can you can if you go through my paperwork they go show you um yeah I be arrested on when I get out, that's in the 2020, when I met my baby mam and all that stuff but by that time 2019 I already be on the DDC the weekends because they put me Friday uhm Friday to Sunday You go in Friday, and you reported on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, When do you get out Sunday night or Monday morning morning or after 5 o'clock they can pick you up before when do they release you right after five o'clock but if your Mama didn't ride though you gotta wait to pick you the next day no just when she picks you up okay after 5 so Sunday night after 5 uh-huh okay so that's when this happened this was like 8 o'clock that night yeah so you would have been out okay I thought you would have been in but no I've been out my mama, she picked me up but she picked me up late but she picked me up so okay so you but you were at the store because I know I know you're there so I could have been off on the time frame but I knew you were there because I saw you um but so you didn't shoot at him no why would you right uh, huh well except for 5th is a killer and people pay him just to kill people don't have any motive or reason to oh just he's a bad dude yeah no I know if he does his things but I don't know well doing your things is like kinda me like I do my thing which isn't killing people it's surfing I go surfing I'm doing my thing 5th his thing is he doesn't like Hot Wheels and he doesn't like surfing he doesn't like tennis he likes killing people for whatever reason now that he's been linked with a known murderer Cosme has to be feeling at least a little nervous the detective not only lets Cosme know that he knows everything about about that particular murder but that he is confident that the person responsible will soon be serving a life sentence knowing this Cosme may choose to cooperate if he thinks he might get a deal for a lesser charge that's a lucrative business apparently except for he's not really that good at it because some of us have followed up on the cases and now his ass is sitting in jail do you have any murders that I haven't solved no any murder that I've been assigned I've solved them all what is solve what does that mean I put together the pieces not because I'm that good but okay okay but because I'm lucky and I work with great Partners yeah so um so this is just another one this is just another one and I don't mean it's just another person because this is a tragic situation but it's another one that that will be solved because we're wrapping these the cases up but your part in it no one said you shot and killed her that that wasn't how your name came up your name came up because Miles said he sold to you periodically not that often but every once in a while out in Justina he's the weed man um and there was a fight between Fifth and Miles Fifth claims that he um beat up Red Rum and Red Rum said that he beat up Fifth so I don't really know I mean my money's on Fifth he's a big dude Red Rum kind of a smaller dude but small guys are Scrappy too but for whatever reason he says you shot at him but you didn't do that too fast no, no I, not for you, for them Yeah I know right, they use to be friends they were still talking why why would they fight yeah I don't know so right I don't know he's like I don't know because he he don't give me nothing he sold nothing to me because I bee on probation I do the weekends and then I do the drug test every time I go outside okay fair enough and even if you had told me today that you had been I don't care I'm not telling the probation officers
