and welcome to facts or frauds all right friends I was sent a link to check out a hearing in the 36 District Court and my thoughts on it I'm I'm not quite sure to be honest and that's this is where you come in I want your opinion let's talk about it in the comment section let's check out the case you tell me what you think she doesn't want to talk to her attorney she doesn't want to talk to the judge she doesn't want to be in jail but she's got to do one of those what you are witnessing is real the participants are not actors well unfortunately with this person it sounds like she understands stuff she just doesn't want to deal with it I think that's right uh I do have an audio interpreter now Sherry do you know what her current bond is it was just an or Bond okay but um how's she remaining in there right now though um talk to you again so you're good okay okay judge she's here all right I'm Ready the last time I said no change to bond okay um March 8th so hello we have we have an interpreter for you miss th yeah if you could interpret uh we're ready now I wanted to know why I'm still uh in jail and I'm not released yet all right Miss th the problem is that you have failed to participate in these hearings I don't have any issues all right so I want you to speak with your lawyer so that we can try to either resolve these matters today or get it set for a trial if that's what you wish I don't have any issues or legal issues you have uh matters here in municipal court because you have failed to appear from a summons that was given to you currently we have uh many charges against you hey I don't have any issues I don't um I don't have any legal problem well you currently have legal problems here in Municipal Court you have charges of trespass five counts of trespass three counts of urinating in public and littering noee fore spe speech [Applause] your honor she she just stated that she has not done anything wrong now TransPass anywhere I've never in public or anywhere no all right if if she believes she go ahead for can you please Market that I have uh trespass anybody's property well the problem is that the city believes that she has done these things and that's why they have brought charges for her to answer to these charges she must appear in court and until she appears in court uh the problem is she doesn't come so I can't I don't want to let her out okay fore well I um they accusing me things and why are you not allowing me out they're just doing bad things to me the problem is we have requested her appearance we have given her citations to appear notices to appear a number of times and she refuses to show up to court therefore that's why she is currently in custody because of her failure to present herself to court I have not done anything wrong all right and there okay so she want she said tell this judge I have not done anything wrong I have not trespassed anybody property and so you put it down and tell them and let me go uh Mr ranking I'm going to set these for trial uh can you let me know uh what would be a is it morning or afternoon on what uh I can I'll pick the date it'll be in 30 days I'll set it in April your honor yes I'm just an interpreter but I feel like I need to maybe uh kind of um I can't think of the term but maybe uh explaining to you a little bit I don't think that this lady um is you know I don't think that she understand exactly what's going on because all she has been saying is that I have not done anything wrong and she wanted you as a judge to put it down that she hasn't done anything and to let her go so I don't think that she understand the concept of the court system in United States I don't know if you have an opportunity to have somebody explain to her what's going on all right well and that's what we're trying to do I have given her a chance to talk with her lawyer to try to explain these things and she basically runs away she throws the things down and runs and I yeah and and another thing I was wondering I um I'm wondering if somebody in this uh in your city could probably maybe uh you know talk to her about it because she is very insistent that she has not done anything wrong and and that's what I'm trying to explain to her that a trial can resolve this if she truly didn't do it yeah but I I I think that she needs somebody to probably a more individual to probably talk to her about these legal issues because the way it sounds I I don't know if you're familiar with our country but you know a lot of it is you know the the support system is you know confusing yes correct for her I think she she's kind of confus all uh Mr Mr Lich I was going to ask you how did you wish in light of what The Interpreter saying your your honor maybe so can you please tell the uh the judge to release the um your honor maybe it would be helpful if you ordered Miss uh Tao to appear at for an appointment at my office um and I can check availability right now go ahead go ahead okay and your honor this is just kind of my opinion but and I have done a lot of interpreting for the rest the the last 30 years and yeah the way I this is the first time I have interpret for this lady but it sounds like she's having some like maybe other issues other than legal issues I understand right and I I I'm not sure I disagree with you at all okay yeah she talks like nonstop and it's like her the way she talks it's like she's focused in one thing and uh and she felt like she is like um a lot of a lot of things is against her and the way I picked up um kind of like medic depression I'm not a doctor but um you know it's it's just I felt like you know something is wrong okay your your honor we do have an appointment available May the 17th at 3:30 p.m okay uh interpreter I'm gonna I'm going to go ahead I'm going to set this for May 17th at 3:30 for her to visit with her attorney okay go ahead okay I don't I don't have any uh I have not done anything wrong I'm not going to see an Tor yeah you see you see my problem interpreter yes yeah but I think that this is kind of I think she has more problems than just legal issues you H her I think she probably needs to you know get some other help right issue yeah Mr Ranken do you have any do you want to chime in here about this issue she clearly isn't showing up if I let her out she's not going to go visit she won't come back what are we going to do what what do you want to do judge I think I think we probably would want to set it for trial um kind of curious if I'm I'm not sure how realistic it is if we could get an in-person interpreter so that she could interact with someone yeah I don't have a pro problem with that but um is there do you have a problem because if she's going to show up I hate for for the city to get all these Witnesses and she do does not appear your honor yes and um in my standpoint I I'm not familiar with your city but or your state but I wonder if you have like organization like uh some type of like um immigrant organization like in in our area they have like small associations um these type of organization I think she needs organization to help her yeah no I don't disagree I do I don't disagree interpreter I'm going to deal with this if she at least comes and talks to her lawyer then maybe he can make those types of arguments or get her with what we call wind out Behavioral Health there there's things here but I know as soon as I let her out she is going to be in the wind but I was wondering if you have organization like this this Association to probably work with her because I don't think that she sees the whole point is that if you make a four days or makeo with her journey she's not going to show up but she doesn't realize that you know she her problem right here right right so you're wasting the city's money gotcha so Mr Ranken I'm not going to require you to get the city all all these Witnesses okay what I will do is uh I'm going to order to the May 17th at 3:30 that she has to go there or she'll be back in jail and that way hopefully we'll send over the paperwork on how she can get a hold of on the city hall and then we'll work from there that works for the city okay all right uh interpreter let her know her case is set for May 17th at 3:30 for her to visit with her lawyer I'm sorry um your honor so she's gonna be released right she will be released but she is to appear May 17th at 3:30 [Music] for [Music] so again it's back to square one she said I refuse to come to uh see my attorney I have done nothing wrong well well that's the so you have no right to arrest me I have done nothing wrong I'm not going to come to court I'm not going to come and see my journey all right so the order why are you doing all right she will be let out her date is May 17th at 3:30 it's at City Hall uh on the second [Music] floor for I'm I'm not gonna come I will tell don't treat me badly and arrest me I have not done anything wrong the uh she is ordered to appear this hearing is over and tell her I at least appreciate her comments but this hearing is over if you are just accusing me and arrest me there's penalty Sherry if you make sure you get that paperwork over there to release her for that May 17th at 3:30 date yes ma'am thank you you're welcome you know people can be really nasty only the other day I heard someone say
