more small details the more they are going to make it sound as if hurt is changing his story if he doesn't give them any other details they claim he is withholding something for hurt it is a no-win situation obviously are we gonna find anything in your bedroom anywhere around your house mark not that I know of no did Harley and Mark into a physical confrontation no not for a while I know they didn't that's what you're saying not from what you know what about from what you've heard I haven't really heard anything I didn't hear any noises after I went to bed I didn't hear anything we're polygraph but as nervous as I get when I've been on the spot it doesn't matter it accounts for that it accounts for the polygraphs are good they'll tell if you're lying or not polygraphs are not conclusive and due to their inaccuracy they are not admissible in court the detective is attempting to guilt him into taking one and if hurt has any underlying medical condition that is unknown it could damage his case okay I don't know what you know about him but they'll tell you they'll tell us if you're lying do you think you could pass a polygraph on everything you told us yes about not knowing anything more about Marcus you toast everything you know about Marcus everything that I know of from the same point I'm sorry I can tell you because when you guys are talking to Mom alone okay assume that the body may have been his at that point how did you know he went missing already because moment told me the day that you got that text that notification your mom told you he's already been missing no this was the okay he had come out before he started coming up my job and asked me these questions just come out ask these questions about Marcus I had told him that day I was heading into work you remember that right that was heading to work around I'd be there at 12 o'clock so we got to oh he left about 11 15 ish okay I believe and oh we left at 11 30. took me to work and I was you went to bed you said about 10 different time frames within an hour two hour time period although you said but you don't have to look at me now I wrote it down I believe you me I mean Hertz hand was swollen from punching a tree and there were also abrasions he said those came from cutting himself on a piece of equipment at work when they checked the police found that there was a jagged piece on that machine and co-workers confirmed the story he had trouble telling the truth wanna put on a spot yes okay and you're putting on the spot right now exactly I have a real tough time I want to believe you but I just there's something there's something missing there's something missing I can tell we can both tell them no we wouldn't have you down here for another reason I know I wouldn't have you I would have interviewed you so long in the car you've seen how long it took me to interview everybody else in the car yeah yeah I use almost like 45 minutes interview or something like that found and now hurt is being questioned of course he would assume his uncle was dead at the tell sign when did you guys keep asking today or the last week was that I was suspect no about your hand you turns on it Deandra who was 19 at the time was also arrested following Williams confession after Jones vantlin wise and now a deceased epd detective interrogated her the same night she too was read the Miranda warnings and signed away her rights her interrogation lasted nearly two hours and was also recorded based on Williams's Aunt deandre's interrogations the detectives also arrested Andrea who was 16 at the time Andrea was held for seven days before being released without charges Deandra and William were both charged with murder among other crimes Deandra remained in jail for four months at which point the state court granted a motion to suppress her confession and charges against her were dropped Williams stayed in jail for eight months before his trial the jury did not convict him on a single count had he been convicted he could have faced more than 65 years behind bars the hurt family sued the police department and a settlement was reached for an undisclosed amount
