And who who would have possibly come and got her? >> No one. I've called my grandparents. I've called my dad. I've called anybody that would have came and got her. This is Courtney Bell after realizing her two week old daughter is missing from their home. What follows is pure chaos. Theories, accusations, and suspicion being thrown in every direction. >> But but she does pick her up and tow her places. That's my 2-year-old. >> Who does? My 2-year-old. Did you actually see him leave? Yes. >> To go look for the baby. >> Y'all got the wrong idea. You know where baby at? >> Baby. Where's baby sister? >> Mama. >> Okay. Let's just look. Okay. >> You know where the child might be. >> That's what I was doing. I was walking. I was looking for. >> And this is Christopher McNab, the man whose biggest secret would be exposed by his 2-year-old daughter. And >> my little granddaughter right there keeps saying that her daddy took the baby. Papa, >> your papa. >> Yes, papa. >> Papa got her. >> She's telling me that he AWAY WITH THE BABY. >> SHE SAID NANA papa ma'am, too. >> Ma'am, >> she want nana papa to come and help her. >> I'm sorry. I'm freaking out. They're talking about it's him. >> That's okay. On October 7th, 2017, police were called to a home in Oakwood, Georgia, after a frantic report that a two-week old baby, Kalia Bell, had gone missing from her own home. >> Sheriff's Office. >> Yes. Okay. I fell asleep right here. My husband fell asleep. Well, he's not my husband, but he's my baby's father. My husband fell asleep right there. My child, >> my 2-year-old was back here in her toddler bed. >> Mhm. Um, my baby was asleep in her sleeper. The last time we woke up with her was around 5. Her pathy's on the floor. Her and her blanket's gone. I've looked everywhere. My 2-year-old came and said she's gone. >> Where was your 2-year-old sleeping? >> Right there. >> Right here. >> Yes. I've looked all in them clothes. I don't I don't know where else to look. And who who would have possibly come and got her? >> No one. I've called my grandparents. I've called my dad. I've called anybody that would have came and got her. >> Um he he went around the park to look for her. There's my cousin. >> I don't know where. >> What now? >> One month. >> She's two weeks old. >> Two weeks. >> Yeah. >> A two week old baby doesn't wander off. So the focus immediately shifts to the people closest to her. the mother, the toddler sibling in the home, and the father who is currently missing from the scene. As intense as some of these cases can get, sometimes you just need something that lets your brain shift gears for a few minutes. Which brings me to the sponsor of today's video, June's Journey. June's Journey is a hidden object mystery game set in the 1920s. You follow the story of an amateur detective called June [music] Parker trying to uncover the truth behind her sister's murder. And every chapter pulls you deeper into the mystery. The gameplay revolves around searching through beautifully detailed scenes to find hidden clues. It's one of those games where you really have to pay attention to everything on the screen, [music] and each scene helps push the story forward. As you progress, you unlock and decorate your own island, building it up however you want. There are also special events and seasonal challenges that pop up regularly, which keeps things fresh and gives you new rewards to work toward. For me, it's the kind of game that's easy to pick up when you want something engaging but relaxing at the same time. The scenes feel almost like visual puzzles, and there's always another chapter or challenge waiting once you finish the last one. If you want to check it out, you can download June's Journey for free using my link below or by scanning the QR code [music] on the screen. It's available on iOS, Android, and PC. And going through my link helps support the channel. And with that said, let's get back to the case. >> I don't know where else to look. >> Where? It's not like >> couldn't have got up and walked away. >> Where else to look? >> How about uh Amy had uh the child's father's not looking for the child? >> Yes. >> Is he walking in the car? >> He's walking. >> Okay. Well, that's what I'm saying. Maybe she got >> But but she does pick her up and tow her places. That's why my 2-year-old. >> Who does? My two-year-old, honey. >> That's where baby at. >> Baby sister. Where's baby sister? >> Mama. >> Okay, let's just look. Just start looking. >> Watch her. I ran you. >> Just start looking. Mama, [music] [crying] baby. Start at one end of the house and go to the other. Officers begin searching everywhere like the cupboards, closets, and every other possible space. Because with a baby this small, you can't rule anything out. At the same time, questions start forming. Were the parents under the influence? Was the baby placed somewhere and forgotten? But there's one problem with all those theories. A baby would cry and no one heard anything. >> We're checking the house. >> I've been looking for maybe >> portable radio issues. We're checking the We're checking the house right now. I'm the granddad. Great grandad. This is the grandad. >> Okay, >> she ain't going to cry. >> Why? >> I don't know why she don't cry. Poor. >> He went to look for her. >> Somebody took her. >> Yeah, he did. >> HE DID. HE DID NOT. HE'S NOT LIKE THAT. ALL RIGHT, LET'S NOT HEY, >> ACTING LIKE THAT. >> HAVE YOU SEEN HER? >> Where's baby at? Where baby sister? >> Show papa where baby sister. >> Yeah. Come and show popcorn is. >> Huh? >> Papa. >> What? >> Where did she go? >> Somebody get baby sister. Come here and talk to Papa N. >> We'll go to Nana in a minute. Look at that. Always running. >> We woke up together. >> Okay. >> My child, my 2-year-old woke us up together. >> Where's your husband at right now? >> He went walking because my 2-year-old said somebody >> got I don't know. >> The only is the male father. >> At this point, there are more questions than answers. Where could she have gone? Why would anyone take her? What actually happened inside this house? But what investigators don't realize yet is that the answers already exist. They're just waiting to be uncovered. >> Christopher Michael 25 26. >> All right. 104. The caller did advise us that the father is out looking for the child. They were with each other all morning. >> I understand that, but the father's 1096. He's not here every time. He's just running. He might be walking. So, I'm All right. >> I'm going to talk to my >> responsible. >> What did you Did you Was your husband actually here? >> Did you actually see him leave? >> Yes. >> To go look for the baby? >> Y'all got the wrong idea. He >> No, we're trying to clarify. We're trying to clarify >> with me. My 2-year-old woke us up together when he went. I sent him back there to check on her while I was loving on her because she was freaking out. >> I didn't understand why she was freaking out. She was standing right here crying. I was laying right here. My husband was asleep right there. >> Okay. What time did y'all go to bed? >> I mean, we fell asleep the last time we got up with her around 5 something. >> 5 this morning. >> We didn't even mean to fall asleep. Yeah. >> Okay. And she was in that crib back there. >> Yes. >> Or that little bed? >> Yes. >> With your 2-year-old? >> Yes, sir. >> At 5 this morning. >> Yes, sir. Hey, >> there's a sense here that Courtney knows more than she is saying. And the more attention shifts toward Christopher, the more dangerous that secret becomes for her. >> I don't know where. >> Were y'all sleeping on this bed? >> No, we we we just did this looking for her. Is that a car? Take a right. There was a green car just came out here was going north 36. Why? Like four people in it. Got me. early 90s. It was green four-door. >> What time is it now? >> What time? >> That's the time you know she's gone. >> 10:52. You noticed she was gone about what 15 minutes ago, right? Um about 20 minutes. >> 15 to 20 minutes ago. >> Yes sir. 1052 >> five cuz Michael >> 1052 10:32 10:32 >> 9157 radio >> I got my baby's dad coming back now >> radio just advising we're looking at a time frame in between 5:00 a.m. this morning and about 10:32 this morning. >> By now, nearly 9 hours have passed since the baby was last seen. So clearly, time is no longer on anyone's side. The baby could be anywhere. And the fact that Christopher McNab is still missing is becoming impossible to ignore. And my little granddaughter right there keeps saying that her daddy took the baby. >> Your papa. >> Yeah, papa. >> Papa got her. >> No. No. >> Daddy or dad? >> Yeah. >> Where's daddy? 91 >> mama took her mama. >> What? >> He called me papa and nana. >> Got Melissa David. >> NO, HE'S NOT. HE'S ON THE WAY BACK HERE. HE HAS NOTHING. All right, that is the end department. That's where he always goes and cross the child with Le is clearing the rest. We know he's getting clear. >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. Long as we sure that the rest is clear, we can start so we can start processing. Mama took her. >> What? Daddy. >> She told me papa and nana. >> David. >> No, he is not. He's on THE WAY BACK HERE and it has nothing. This is about my baby. >> The baby. >> She keep telling me that he got away with THE BABY. SHE SAID NO. SHE SAID NANA papa ma'am speaking >> I'm sorry I'm freaking out. They're talking about it's him. >> That's okay. Um >> what stands out here is that Courtney seems more focused on defending Christopher than actually helping find her baby. >> Anybody? Do you have any enemies? Anybody who might come in the door and >> I don't know who would do that. Sure. >> Okay. >> Get my grand. >> Yes. >> Hey, you want to start a canine? >> I don't think See, the canine is not going to pick up a scent of a two two week old baby. >> Well, maybe the clothing or whatever. That's what I'm saying. Maybe they'll be able to pick up a clothing, a diaper or something and maybe be able to track off of that. >> Just at least say if if she's near here. >> What's the female's name? It lives in the apartment. >> I doubt it. Uh, >> I mean, it's a baby. >> At this point, a canine is requested, which tells you how serious this situation has become. Officers are also splitting up. One team is searching the surroundings, and the other is going back inside the house to gather more information. Right now, on my Patreon, you can watch the most shocking interrogation you'll ever see by far. What happens in this interrogation room is certainly not suitable for YouTube and it will leave you completely shocked. Go to patreon.com/stranger stories plus to watch it plus many other Patreon exclusive videos. >> I want to see if she got any pictures of that baby. >> I doubt it. Uh I mean, it's a baby. >> Ma'am, >> did anyone took any pictures of the baby? >> Do you have a picture or >> Yes, ma'am. I got a picture. >> I left my phone and everything. >> This when she was born. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> You can scroll up or down. Okay. >> Come here, man. Yes, sir. >> Hi. >> Yeah, we sure >> are. Hi. Yeah. >> Oh my god. >> What about his mom? >> What about his mom that's been walking? >> I don't know. >> There's something quite ironic here. The baby's shirt reads daddy's girl, but the father himself is missing from the picture at this moment. He's said to have left in a car, but at this point that's just a claim. >> That car came out of here kind of a dark green. >> Melissa came to help me look for her >> cuz y'all both y'all both got up and went and looked and discovered at the same time. >> I was loving on my 2-year-old because she was freaked out and I I didn't understand why. Um, then she started talking about baby and I sent him back there to check on her. >> We woke up together. I sent him back down there to check on her and >> then he he's like, "She's not here." >> She's not in here. When she called me, I was like screaming in the trying to find that. >> Was she crying or anything prior to that? >> I haven't heard her. No. any kind of medical issues she was having complications. >> No complications. Perfect. >> She's 5 lb. >> 5 lb. Was she premature? >> Went to the doctor yesterday. >> This is kind of like our storage room and everything's in here and it's a mess. We go through it all the time. >> I just don't know where else to And you don't have any idea who would have taken her? >> No. No. >> Nobody. >> City is also updated on everything. Y my baby. >> We'll try, man. We walk in on him, man. >> If a 5 lb baby is dead inside this house, the reality is really terrifying. She could be anywhere and incredibly easy to miss. >> 30 minutes now. >> I'm calling my baby's dad's stepmom. Well, yeah. Do whatever you can do to try to get in contact with him. >> We need to talk to him. >> Okay. He said he's coming. >> Where's he at? >> Like I said, he went to look. >> Where did he I mean, what did he leave in a vehicle? >> No, he left on foot. >> Crystal out of the car. He just >> And what's the baby's name? >> Ka. >> Ka. Ka. What? >> Ka. Naa. Novea Ka Novea they call her beside the couching on her at home. It was just me, my 2-year-old Kalia, and Chris. >> Yes. Everywhere. >> Everybody's looking everywhere. She is not here. >> Is that her? His stepmom. >> Yeah. I mean that's my first thought was to put her somewhere but nowhere in here. >> All right. I was just letting you know if you had her. Um let me get off the phone, please. probably late 90, not late model, but late >> Melissa came to help me look for her. >> Y'all both y'all both got up, went and looked and discovered at the same time. >> I was loving on my 2-year-old cuz she was freaked out and I I didn't understand why. Um, then she started talking about baby Fissy and I sent him back there to check on her. >> We woke up together. I sent him back there to check on her and And it's just he he's like she's not here. >> She's not in here. >> When she calls me, I will say he was screaming in the background trying to find the baby. I'll say that on his behalf. >> Was she crying or anything prior to that? >> I haven't heard her. No. >> Any kind of medical issues having >> This might sound like overanalyzing, but watch closely. She doesn't look like she's recalling a memory. Instead, it appears that she's building a version of it in real time. And that distinction is exactly what starts raising suspicion. >> You said you did lift the couch already. >> Yes. >> And I've been through that room right here three times. >> Been through it once. >> I've been through it two times. I'm going to head down the bridge. So, I just want to go right. >> None of these people have homes. I don't guess. >> Me, too. >> I went to the closet and it locked in. >> I got to sit down and get to the main track. I'm coming down. >> She's not behind under the couch. >> Hey, my son. But hold on. Hold on. Don't listen. >> Somebody look under here. >> No. >> No. There's no baby there. >> Yeah. >> Chris was here when Courtney called. >> Huh? >> Chris was here when Courtney called. Well, of course she just >> and I told him to call the police. >> Did she say anything about the sister? >> He said, "Dad, I got her." And I believed it, too. I believe that son of something to go. >> Y'all get him over here and question him. He ain't nothing but a psycho dope head. He is crazy. I mean, he's a lunatic. He just got out of prison. He ain't He's been in jail all his life. He's He's done his stepmom has done told me he's done injured one baby. >> What? >> Yeah. >> He's a cycle. Y'all need to be picking him up right now. Crystal McN. >> He's done run from y'all just now. He was here and he's done. >> Talk to my partner. >> A claim like this changes everything. And now with Christopher back, the focus of the investigation begins to shift. What green car? Toyota. No sir. I did not I have not been in I just I just cut through the search over there from just the middle road walking. >> Why? >> I don't know. I guess I got scratch walking in the woods looking for my kids. >> So you didn't go up to uh Melissa's house >> when today? >> No, sir. I did not. >> Not one time. What kind of car does Melissa have? >> A little Honda looking car. I don't know what kind of car it is. I ain't really paid much attention. >> Dark green, maybe dark blue. >> That's negative. >> That's negative. >> He's been walking down. >> You know what? That's what I was doing. I was walking for anything. I mean, somebody on the green card >> not one time. >> He's been walking in the woods. >> Which way did you go? >> I went through the woods right there. I cut right through the straight road. >> If I was scared to go back to jail, >> listen one more time. >> Circle around. I made a circle. >> I know my made it nowhere by understand I left here. My baby's mama can tell you I left here by myself while ago 15 minutes maybe. >> There's a child here last >> the child was here. I put I >> been for the last two days with somebody else. >> Yes, sir. >> Not with y'all. >> No, sir. They can't. They brought they brought her and my >> I don't have a 21 radio. Can you handle that? >> I didn't take that. >> You get to ask my baby's mama. We woke up. >> I'm ask I mean I need somebody to vouch for me cuz I ain't got nobody. >> You know what I mean? Seems like everybody else has got somebody to them. >> You need somebody? >> I mean the first the first thing the first thing that I heard this morning when when she called her papa and told her papa about it was where's that boy at? Where's that boy at? I'm always the first person want to get blamed for everybody. >> That's my kid. That's my child. >> You know what I'm saying? >> Well, the child is >> I'm more worried about that baby then everybody excepts her. >> Okay. >> The child's been with another relative for the last couple of days, right? >> My dad and my grandparents >> been with them last night without permission from her cousin's house. But then I called the police to my friend's house where we went and officer Bartlett said to instead of involving defects to let my 2-year-old >> What address was that? Do you know? >> 1873 Woodlon maybe. >> I think that's the right digit. I'm not sure. >> 1837. >> I think I'm not quite sure. Wood >> 1837. >> It's Woodlong Road. >> I just want to get the address. Um, okay. >> And then officer Bartlett um told us instead of involving defects to let my 2-year-old go to my dad's house for a couple days and just to let it all blow over. >> When did this happen? >> Tuesday. >> Tuesday. >> Tuesday. >> Hey, I just brought the kids back. >> Are you good with me checking that area? >> I'm sorry. >> Are you good with me going and checking this area wherever he was supposedly walked? >> You can check it, but uh >> I don't know if you plan on getting a dog over here or not. Cuz if you do, I don't want to mess up any type of trap. [screaming] >> I think uh Bean was talking trying to talk to somebody about a dog. >> Oh, I'm not going in the woods then. >> Now Christopher is back, but without the baby. And wherever he went, that's where the answers could be. The problem is even his own family doesn't seem convinced by what he's saying. Okay. Look, that's not helping anything with the investigation right now. Okay. >> All right. Hey. Hey. >> Okay. Well, don't >> look. >> We're trying to find a two week old right now. Okay. >> And you being out here causing any type of issues right now isn't going to help anything. >> You are causing issues. Okay. We're trying to find you're you're trying to antagonize something over here. If something is done that is wrong, we're going to take care of it. Our pri main priority right now is to find this two week old. Okay. >> What I tried to do yesterday is get y'all involved. >> Okay. Well, I wasn't here yesterday. Okay. >> I don't know, but the police department would not do nothing. >> Okay. Well, I wasn't here yesterday and this is the situation we got now. Okay. So, let's work on that. >> I am I am sorry. >> Okay. So, if something comes back and something foul is taking place, that will be handled. But right now, what we're trying to do is find the two week old. Don't let him get away. That's all I'm saying. He'll >> Okay. Stop making accusations. Okay. Stop making. >> Okay. And if he's wrong, he's wrong. But right now, we don't know that. >> So you making accusations ain't going to do nothing but get him mad and then you get mad and then we got another situation. >> Well, then let's make it about that. >> Everybody, what do we need to do >> right now? What we need to do? >> Good. >> You know, >> right now we're trying to figure out where we're going to follow up with. Okay. We're working to see about possibly getting a canine over here. >> Okay. >> And see what we can do to possibly figure out where this baby is. >> Okay. >> No, we don't. We don't need anybody going in the woods right now. >> Stuff. If if something >> they're getting a They going to get a K9 down here. >> Me. >> We got We got a K9. >> We want to sort of get an idea where dad went. So, what we're going to do when the K9 gets here. >> Well, let's I don't think Dad will take you exactly the route, but uh >> he said he was up in the woods, but maybe you can just sort of walk him up there and get a direction of the woods he said he went in. >> Okay, >> Dad. >> Dad, do me a favor. Walk with me. Where did you go? I just want you to kind of give me a general idea. So, >> I went straight through. There's a cut that goes straight through the wood. >> Do me a favor and walk over there. Okay. As an officer goes with Christopher to check his version of events, another claim surfaces that adds even more complexity to the situation. >> You said you walked through the cut because it cuts to Henderson Mill. Yes, sir. I was just trying to make a circle. I don't know. My 2-year-old was saying somebody came in. I mean, she don't talk very well. Yeah. But when my my baby's mother asked, >> she said, >> my baby's mother asked my my two-year-old, she said, "Did somebody come take her, baby?" And she was like, "Yeah." >> And I was like, >> but she couldn't tell you. >> And she said, "Papa, papa." That's all she kept saying was papa. Papa. That's the only thing she would say was papa. >> Okay. Well, like I said earlier, like I said earlier, nobody's accusing you of anything. Right now, we're just trying to figure out where this 2-year-old is, >> and we need your help. Two weeks. I'm sorry. I mean, I don't have no idea. >> I don't want you to go into the woods, but just give me a general idea that you went through right here. >> I went through >> and went straight. It's like pretty much clear all the way through straight. It comes straight out of Henderson Mill. Okay. >> Fathers, he's going to try to get an idea of which area he went, where he went. >> And then you went all the way >> like see if you step back right here. >> You look through that cut, it goes straight through and you can see Henderson Mill Road once you get halfway down the hill. >> Okay. I mean, I took a flashlight and everything just to >> Okay. >> You know, >> to look around. You got you keep breaching in your pockets. I just curious if you had anything else. >> All right. You're good. >> You're good. Okay. Uh, >> do me a favor and stand here and just kind of communicate with this deputy right here. I'll be right back. >> How y'all doing? >> Fine. How you doing? >> Great. Have y'all been over here all morning? >> All morning. >> All morning. Have y'all happened to be on your porch within the last probably 30 to 45 minutes? >> Pretty much. Yeah, >> pretty much. Have you seen that male that we're talking to right now ever come this way? >> Yeah. >> You did? Did he have anything with him? >> No, I haven't seen I mean, he could have had in his pocket or something, >> but he didn't wasn't holding a baby. Wasn't Wasn't doing anything like that? >> He didn't have nothing. >> I Okay. >> What? Baby missing. >> Well, we're looking. Yeah. At this point, we don't know where the baby is and we're just trying to >> Mhm. Where's your wife? She's over there. >> We're looking for a two week old. The newborn. >> The two week old newborn's missing at this point. >> But there was somebody over there this morning, but I couldn't tell you who it was. I porch all day to walk in between these two right here. Not anybody can walk. >> He'll walk back up in there. >> He'll walk back up in there. Like he's hiding though. >> Okay. >> But >> did y'all see anybody else happen to be over near that trailer? >> Yeah, I did. But I mean, I really couldn't tell you cuz that was like hours ago. >> It was hours ago. >> Hours ago. And the door's been open for like all morning cuz like I >> Okay. So, the door has been open all morning. >> It's been open for at least a couple hours. I just sit out here and I play my game just to get away from the kids and the animals and stuff and like the doors been open for a while. But like >> one possibility is that Christopher left the scene for an entirely different reason, which is to hide drugs, which if true could mean he has nothing to do with the baby's disappearance. But right now, that's just one theory among many. >> I couldn't tell you. I just I stood up there. I just see the shadow. I wasn't like so you couldn't >> definitely say it wasn't him that you saw. >> I I can't because I cuz I'm like this and if you glance up and you look, you know, you're just not really I don't try to be nosy in these people. I just >> help. >> No, not at this point. >> Uh what what we're trying to do is get a uh canine over here to help search for it. >> So, if we can get a canine over here to run a track, we don't want anybody else going. >> Go back over here behind this trailer. behind this. It could be right here. >> Yeah. >> Back up in there. But I haven't seen anybody walk this way. >> Okay. >> At all. >> At all. >> At all. >> Now, when the figure that you saw earlier, >> they went from like out the trailer and back in. >> They just came out and then went right back in. >> Like they were out there on the like See how she's on the porch? >> Yeah. >> That's what they did. They came out of the porch and went back in. >> But there hasn't been a car there for >> I haven't I haven't actually seen They've got a PT Cruiser >> and I haven't seen a PT Cruiser there. in a couple days. >> Okay. It's over there. >> I mean, it could have been repo. I don't know. I just They usually park it right there. >> Yeah. It comes from the top of the hill, but like >> Okay. >> Sorry. >> No. I I'm just glad y'all talked to me. Okay. But y'all y'all did see a figure come out, but then go back in. Y'all never saw him actually walk this way. >> No. No. I mean, like they walk out. What, baby? >> All right. Well, thank y'all. If I have any more questions to you, we may be following back up over here. Okay. >> That's fine. All right. Thank you. If we're going to do searches, let us know what >> we will. I appreciate it. >> Thank you. >> As the officer walks away, neighbors call him back, eager to share what they've seen and what they think might have happened. And while some of it sounds far-fetched, some of it isn't entirely impossible. >> Yes. There was a minivan. I want to say >> would we have that um >> there was a blazer with the freaking star on the back of it that came hauling ass through here last night. I yelled at him to slow down, which is why I paid attention cuz my baby was out here in the yard and he was over there for a while and then he left >> over at that house. >> Over at that house last night. But we're talking like 11:00 last night. Well, no, it wasn't. It had to have been about 8:30, 9:00. They stayed for a couple hours and then they left. So like, but other than that, I haven't seen a car over there all morning. But >> Okay. >> If it was last night. >> No, it happened sometime this morning, I think. >> So, she woke up and the baby was gone. >> Mhm. >> So, look, I'm going to tell you, I sleep when my door is unlocked 24/7. >> Okay. >> Okay. The only time I lock my door is when I'm leaving and I'm not here. My back door is unlocked 24/7. >> Okay. >> I'm just telling you I don't have issues like that. >> Yeah. >> So, >> well, it's just it's very ironic or weird >> for a two week old. In 2019, a jury found both of them guilty. Christopher McNab was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole along with additional years for related charges.
