Shoot. >> Hey, adrenaline junkies. Welcome to Police Chase. Today, we're kicking off a brand new series. When people messed with the wrong cop, where every dumb move instantly triggers justice mode. All right, let's dive in. Now target. >> Shoot. >> Drop that knife. >> Shoot. >> Drop the knife. >> On December 18th, 2021, at around 10:45 a.m. in Los Angeles, California, USA, officers responded to a domestic disturbance call at an apartment complex on Wall Street. What seemed routine quickly became tense. >> Is anybody else in there? Is your house the left or the right? >> The left. >> And it's two stories. >> Yes. >> Rosendo. >> He says that he's in order to burn our whole apartment all over the building. >> Is he your family? >> No. >> How do you know him? >> His dad. >> What about his dad? >> Officers encountered 34year-old Roseno Olivio Jr. holding a folding knife and a boutine torch lighter. Police said he shouted threats and continued approaching despite repeated commands to put the knife down. With the distance closing, every second mattered. >> Rando, stop that. >> [ __ ] you and [ __ ] them, too. >> Yeah. All right. >> The [ __ ] you going to do about the knife, >> ROSO? BACK UP. Back up. >> Back up, stop him. Drop the knife. >> DROP THE KNIFE. >> DROP the knife. [screaming] >> Get down. Shot fired. As Olivio continued forward with the knife, the situation reached a critical point. An officer used his service weapon to stop the advance and Olivia went to the ground. Officers quickly secured the scene with no officers reported injured. >> SHOOT DOWN. PUT THE KNIFE DOWN. >> The knife was recovered at the scene. What began as a routine call had changed in seconds. A powerful reminder that ignoring lawful commands while armed can lead to consequences that cannot be undone. >> Roger. Do you have any description for this >> on April 13th, 2022 in the morning in Tucson, Arizona, USA, multiple 911 calls reported a man behaving erratically on the roof of a home in the 5,700 block of East Fairmont Street. Officers arrived and found 34y old Ji Herrera reportedly holding two knives. >> Get down. >> Get down. >> DON'T THROW THAT BRICK. >> DON'T THROW the brick. >> Get back. >> Herrera shouted threats and according to police threw a brick toward an officer. More units arrived, including crisis intervention officers who tried speaking with him in both English and Spanish, and even offered him water. But despite their efforts to calm things down, the tension continued to rise. Turn on your gut now. >> Turn on your gun. >> Turn on your gut. >> Herrera eventually moved from the roof onto a tree and fell to the ground while still holding a knife. An officer deployed a taser, leading to a struggle. Police managed to move the knife away, but Herrera continued resisting and bit an officer's thumb before additional officers finally brought the situation under control. >> [screaming] [screaming] >> Stop it. Ah, stop. >> Officers soon noticed Herrera becoming unresponsive and immediately called medics forward. [music] Emergency crews provided care and transported him to St. Joseph's Hospital while the injured officer also received medical treatment. The incident shows how quickly [music] a tense encounter can spiral beyond anyone's control and how every decision made in those few moments can carry lasting consequences. >> Recovery position. One, two, three. There you go. There you go. >> Hey, drop it on. [screaming] >> On February 23rd, at around 400 p.m. in Houston, Texas, USA, officers responded to an urgent assistance call at Plaza America's Mall, 7,500 Bair Boulevard. As shoppers rushed outside, witnesses reported a confrontation inside involving Deputy Neil Adams, 62, and seized Deontay Harrison, 35 in Casanova. I just said, "Where's Gasanova? Where's Gasanova?" >> Where's Gasanova at? >> Hey, they're saying the officers are shot, so I'm going to go check on him right now. >> According to police, Harrison had taken the deputy's firearm during the confrontation and used it against him. Responding officers entered the mall and soon located Harrison coming from the second floor, now holding a knife. Officers took cover and repeatedly ordered him to stop, but he refused to comply. >> Get on THE GROUND. LET ME SEE YOUR HAND. LET ME SEE YOUR HANDS. [screaming] LET ME SEE YOUR HAND. LET ME SEE YOUR HAND. LET ME SEE YOUR HAND. LET ME SEE YOUR HAND. HEY, LET ME SEE YOUR HAND. JUST DROP THE KNIFE. DROP THE KNIFE. HEY, DROP THE LINE. [screaming] DROP >> 57. Shots fired. Shots fired. Shots fired. >> Moments later, police said Harrison suddenly rushed toward the officers. With only seconds to react, two officers used their service weapons to stop the advance. Harrison then attempted to move away and officers deployed a taser before finally bringing him under control. In a crowded mall, every second mattered. Hey, STAY ON THE GROUND. >> STAY DOWN. >> STAY DOWN. >> NO, NO, NO. HEY, WATCH. NO, NO, NO. Hold on. >> Hold on. Stay down. >> WHAT'S THE CRUSH FOR? >> DAS. >> HEY, WE NEED SOMEONE TO GO TO GASANOVA. >> Harrison was secured and emergency personnel were called in. What began as a confrontation inside a public mall had escalated into a major emergency, leaving behind a sobering reminder. One reckless choice can place officers, bystanders, and an entire community in danger within moments. >> Hey, I'm going to go TO CASTANOVA. I'M CHECK ON THE OFFICER. >> 360. It just crashed out. On August 8th, 2026 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA, officers spotted a red Dodge Challenger doing burnout donuts near Southwest 31st Street and Miller Avenue. Police attempted a traffic stop and the car briefly slowed to let a female passenger out, but instead of staying put, the driver suddenly accelerated away. >> Stop. Stop. The Challenger reached speeds above 60 mph as officers followed through city streets. According to police, the driver ignored stop signs and continued towards Southwest 30th Street and Agnu Avenue. What began as reckless driving was quickly putting everyone nearby at risk. He's eastbound on 30th 50. It just crashed out. [music] >> Moments later, the driver reportedly missed two stop signs and collided with two other vehicles. The damaged Challenger continued only a short distance before coming to a halt. Officers moved in immediately and took 36-year-old Jeremy Yates into custody. The attempt to get away had ended almost as quickly as it began. >> Hey man, stuck in a car. >> Hey, can you see him? >> Yeah. Come on. >> I heard him talk. >> Can you get out? >> I got no business. >> Can you get out? Which side you getting out on? >> All right. Make sure your hands are empty. Yes, sir. >> That was the dumbest I did in my life. >> I agree. >> Yes, >> that was the dumb [ __ ] My hands are right here. >> I see you, man. >> I'm hurt. >> I know. >> There's lot I can't really do as well. >> Is there any kids? >> Hold on. >> Yeets faced multiple charges, including eluding police, reckless driving, driving with a revoked license, and causing an accident resulting in injury. Police also reported three outstanding felony warrants. A few seconds behind the wheel had turned one traffic stop into far more serious consequences. A reminder that trying to escape rarely makes the original problem disappear. This side I got the AC on back there. >> You got any other cuts other than the like small lacerations I'm seeing here? >> I don't think so, man. I don't think >> What's that? >> Can we flip that? I will. >> It's upside down. >> Yeah. Have a seat so that way I can put some gloves on cuz you're bleeding all my stuff. So then I'll do that once I get some gloves, bud. >> All right. Watch your leg. On September 23rd, 2024, at around 2:24 p.m. near the Oklahoma, Arkansas State Line, USA, authorities were alerted to two vehicles heading east on I40 while being pursued by Oklahoma officers. Minutes later, Corporal Court Williams picked up a black Chevrolet Tahoe with California plates. The SUV soon accelerated beyond 100 mph, and the pursuit was only beginning. 125. The Tahoe continued onto I-540 and US Highway 64, at times passing vehicles on the shoulder. Officers attempted several TVI maneuvers, but the driver kept going, eventually exceeding 130 mph. In Alma, spike strips damaged the Taho's front left tire, yet it continued moving, even entering opposing traffic at times. With every mile, the risk spread far beyond the driver himself. not getting recovered. >> Too late. >> [groaning] >> 64. >> The pursuit finally ended after the Tahoe struck another vehicle and later crashed near US Highway 64 in Firefly Lane. The driver ran through backyards and allegedly tried to take another vehicle from a garage before fleeing toward a wooded area. An officer followed him over a fence, gave clear commands, and this time the man complied. He was identified as Derek Scrutter [groaning and screaming] 2. Different to 20 102 he's locking them up on us. He's got another vehicle. Walmart possible respond >> and another vehicle involved. I think another vehicle heavy pickup there watching. According to the report, officers later found 15 large bundles of suspected methamphetamine weighing about 240 lb, another 2.2 lb bundle of suspected fentanyl, and $4,300 in cash. A second driver, Matthew Bunch, was also taken into custody after a separate pursuit, federal and regional investigators joined the case. What began as an attempt to get away had ended with two people in custody, damaged vehicles, and property, and consequences far greater than where the pursuit started. On September 30th, 2025, at around 4:44 p.m. on I75 near Venice, Florida, USA. Trooper Shier received an alert for a stolen white Kia Stos traveling south. Thanks to the owner's tracker, dispatch kept updating its location. When the Kia passed mile marker 167, the plate was confirmed and the trooper moved in. As soon as Shier activated his lights and siren, the Kia accelerated away, weaving through traffic and using the shoulder at high speed. Other drivers were forced to move aside. With traffic slowing ahead, the trooper saw a brief opportunity to bring the pursuit under control before someone else was put at risk. the traffic. Near mile marker 159, Shier performed a pit maneuver. The Kia rotated, contacted the median cable barrier, and came to a stop on the interstate. Officers quickly secured the vehicle and removed the driver through the passenger side before placing her in handcuffs. She was identified as Kar Echo Sanders. Oh no. Get up. Get out. Get out. Get the [ __ ] out of the car. >> Records showed Sanders had a suspended driver's license while an open beer container was reportedly found inside the Kia. After a medical evaluation, later breath tests recorded 0.134 twice. Sanders was then taken to the Charlotte County Jail. What began with one vehicle on the highway had quickly become a dangerous pursuit, another reminder that one reckless decision can multiply the consequences in minutes. I'm going to read your rights real quick. Okay. >> You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in the court of law. On January 7th, 2026, at around 4:04 p.m. in Bleville, Arkansas, USA, a trooper noticed a black Toyota Camry driving unusually along East Main Street. When the trooper attempted a traffic stop near South Lockard Street, the driver briefly stopped and looked back, then suddenly accelerated away. Stop. Stop. Stop. No. Stop. We on Ash Street. North on Ash. The black Toyota Camry. The pursuit continued through several streets with speeds eventually exceeding 100 mph. According to the report, the driver crossed a solid yellow line and continued despite repeated attempts to stop him. An initial TVI maneuver did not end the pursuit, and the Camry turned around and accelerated away once again. Each passing second brought more uncertainty to everyone sharing the road. >> You ready? Back north back north of Ruddle near Rutle Road and Northeast Parkway. The trooper successfully performed another TVI, leaving the Camry disabled in a ditch. Officers carefully coordinated their positions and repeatedly ordered the driver to show his hands. After several tense moments, he exited through the passenger door, lay on the ground, and was taken into custody. The driver was identified as Renie Sims. Roll over. Roll over. >> Roll over. >> Show me your hand. >> Hands up. >> Say 21. John, bro, we got a TVI. Roll over. He's backing to get out. Get out of the car. Get out. Open the door. Sims told officers he was not injured and said he had fled because he was scared. According to the report, officers noticed signs of possible impairment and later found a small amount of marijuana and an open container of alcohol inside the vehicle. What began as a simple traffic stop had turned into a triple-digit pursuit. A reminder that fear-driven decisions can make a difficult situation far more serious in only moments. It's >> okay. It's okay. It's okay if you got scared, but I'm just saying. On March 22nd, 2024, on I75 near mile marker 316 in Sumpter County, Florida, USA, Trooper Sap noticed a white Honda SUV speeding past his patrol car. Its high beams and windshield wipers were on despite clear weather. And moments later, the vehicle began swerving between lanes. Something clearly wasn't right. And I also need a description of that vehicle. When SAP activated his lights and siren, the Honda briefly slowed before accelerating away. According to the report, the driver made a dangerous U-turn across the median and reached about 110 mph in a 70miper zone, even using the shoulder to pass traffic. The situation grew more alarming when the SUV entered County Road 48, traveling against traffic. 313 ft right on the PRV on their shoulder 110 mph conditions at this time. With other motorists narrowly avoiding the Honda, SAP waited for an opportunity and performed a pit maneuver. The SUV crossed the roadway, struck a mailbox, and overturned onto its roof. Officers quickly approached, removed the driver, and brought the situation under control. He was identified as James R. Parage. vehicle. >> Officers described Parage as confused and behaving unusually, so emergency personnel transported him to HCA Florida Ocala Hospital for evaluation. After receiving medical clearance, he was taken to the Sumpter County Detention Center. A strange drive had turned into a high-speed pursuit in minutes. A reminder of how one unpredictable decision can place countless strangers in harm's way. >> What the [ __ ] >> Where to? On July 12th, 2026, at approximately 6:48 p.m. in Montgomery County, Maryland, USA, officers from the Montgomery County Department of Police in Gethersburg Police Department, responded to a report of a man appearing to load a handgun at a bus stop. The individual was later identified as 46-year-old Elliot Powers. No, no, no, no, no. Hand hand. >> Drop the hand. Just drop. Excuse me. Victor 10. We got one at point at the bus stop. >> Officers chose to slow the situation down rather than rush forward. They attempted to communicate with Powers, requested additional resources, cleared nearby pedestrians, and temporarily restricted surrounding roads. Yet, despite these efforts, Powers remained unresponsive to the attempts to calm the situation. >> Please work with me. Okay. I don't want to do that. >> Please just stay. Just pull your hand out. You You are, but I need you to work with me on this. >> 10, we got more views coming in. Uh, let's get Lost Knife shut down and uh, let's try and get the entrances to the shot. >> Okay, let's just work. Keep working. >> Then about 12 minutes after the initial contact, everything changed. Powers raised the handgun toward an officer, leaving only moments for the officers to react. Officers from both agencies responded with their service weapons. Once the immediate threat had ended, they stopped and quickly moved to provide medical assistance. ALL RIGHT. FIRE. FIRE. >> Montgomery County Fire and Rescue soon arrived to take over medical care. Powers could not be revived at the scene. Fortunately, no pedestrians or bystanders were injured and the handgun was recovered and secured. It was a sobering reminder that in a tense encounter, just a few seconds can change everything. Thank you. >> On February 15th, 2026 in Sacramento County, California, USA, a victim contacted the Sacramento Sheriff's Office and reported that a man had fired toward him in his vehicle. Fortunately, no one was injured, but the vehicle was struck. Investigators identified the suspect vehicle and linked it to 45year-old Tyne Smith. >> Uh, you got a driver's license on you? >> Yes, I do. That's my girl's car. >> Your girl's car. Okay. >> Hey, put your hands on the steering wheel, >> sir. Hands on the steering wheel. >> My hands are done. >> Hands on the steering wheel. >> Suck my hands. >> Hands on the steering wheel all the way on top. Don't move, sir. In his pants. Don't >> move. Less than 24 hours later on February 16th, 2026 in Sacramento County, California, USA, deputies spotted the vehicle traveling southbound on Elkrove, Floren Road, and initiated a [music] traffic stop near Tio Woods Drive. During the contact, a deputy noticed what appeared to be a handgun near Smith's waistband. >> It's on his right hip. >> It's on his right hip. [music] >> There's nothing on my hip, sir. >> Don't move, bro. I'm not going to move anything. >> You want to wait or you want to >> not going to move, sir? Don't move. I'm not playing. >> I'm not moving, sir. There's nothing on my hip. >> There's nothing on my hip, sir. I'm not moving. Come out to your side. >> Deputies removed Smith from the vehicle and attempted to place him in handcuffs, but Smith resisted, broke free, and ran. As he fled, he reached for the handgun, creating a tense moment that left officers with almost no time to react. The deputies responded with their service weapons, and Smith was struck before the firearm fell from his hand. Oh no. >> Put your hands on your head. >> Oh no. >> Put your hands on your head. >> Hands on top. >> Additional deputies quickly arrived and provided first aid until fire department personnel took over. Smith was transported to a local hospital and survived his injuries. He was later booked into the Sacramento County main jail. The handgun was recovered and determined to be loaded and functional. Sometimes a situation that begins with a traffic stop can change in only a few seconds [music] and every decision can carry lasting consequences. On August 9th, 2023, at approximately 5:50 p.m. in Los Angeles, California, USA, Foothill officers received multiple calls about a hit and run and a reckless driver operating a Department of Water and Power vehicle near Laurel Canyon Boulevard. Officers determined the incident involved an alleged assault with a deadly weapon by vehicle and began searching for a white full-size SUV. on the game. >> Good. >> All right. He's going Christian, bro. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Northbound. >> Yeah. >> 16x36. We're going to be in pursuit of the ADW truck going uh in the DWP sit eastbound web from Amway back with airship supervisor. >> Officers soon located the vehicle and a pursuit began. The driver later identified as 28-year-old Manuel Ramirez entered the five freeway and collided with two vehicles that were not involved in the incident. Instead of stopping, he continued toward Colorado Boulevard and entered a business parking area, making an already tense situation even more difficult to control. 36 is in pursuit of a vehicle suspect. He's on to Kuba approaching San Fernando. >> Then came the critical moment. Ramirez drove through a narrow driveway, went through a secured metal gate, and entered another parking area. He turned the vehicle around and accelerated toward officers, striking two occupied police vehicles and an occupied civilian van. After the vehicle stopped, officers approached, but Ramirez accelerated again, leading to a second officer involved shooting. coming down the ramp. >> Hey, hey, get out the room. Okay, so they're down the ramp. Coming forward. >> Ramirez eventually stopped, but repeated commands to surrender were unsuccessful. A SWAT team arrived and took him into custody without further incident. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment and later booked on an alleged assault with a deadly weapon charge involving a police officer. Three officers were injured during the incident while investigators determined that the DWP vehicle had been reported stolen. One reckless decision had turned a traffic related call into a chain of events with consequences for everyone involved. BACK UP. BACK UP. [screaming] ON MARCH 3RD, 2023, shortly before 11:30 p.m. in Tucson, Arizona, USA, officers from the Tucson Police Department located 28-year-old Aaron Martinka, who was wanted in connection with multiple serious allegations, including aggravated assault, firearm related offenses, and an outstanding felony warrant for a probation violation. [screaming] >> 1050 1050 1050 Campbell and Grant. >> I'm going on the other side. I'm going on the other side. SHOTS [screaming] FIRED. SHOTS FIRED. >> OFFICERS from the operations division coordinated with the SWAT team to stop Martina near East Grant Road and North Park Avenue. An immobilization device was deployed, but it failed to stop the vehicle. Martinka accelerated away and the pursuit quickly became more dangerous when his vehicle was involved in a collision involving multiple vehicles. >> BACK UP, JOE. [screaming] BACK UP. >> BACK UP. THEN CAME THE MOMENT OFFICERS had been trying to prevent. After the vehicle became disabled near East Grant Road and North Campbell Avenue, officers approached. Martinka produced a handgun and fired toward them. Officers responded and Martinka was struck. For everyone at the scene, those few seconds changed the entire course of the incident. Officers immediately assessed Martinka and requested medical assistance, but he could not be saved at the scene. A 29-year-old woman, Ashley Mendibles, who was also wanted in connection with the same investigation, was found inside the vehicle. She suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the collision and was taken to Banner University Medical Center. No bystanders or other department members were injured. A pursuit that began with an arrest warrant ended as a sobering reminder of how quickly a dangerous situation can escalate. On June 19th, 2026, at approximately 11:42 a.m., a red 2012 Chevrolet Colorado went missing from Central Auto Sales in Hot Springs, Arkansas, USA. GPS led employees straight to a nearby residence where one of them recognized the man loading items into the truck as 37-year-old Zachary Crabtree, a former classmate. When she confronted him, he cursed her out and fled. She followed and called police. What the officers did not yet know was that Crabtree had stood in a courtroom the day before and pleaded guilty to stealing another vehicle. He had walked out with 5 years of probation. door open. Officer Rio spotted the Colorado cutting through parking lots near Central Avenue and activated lights to initiate a stop. Crabtree ignored them and kept weaving through parking lots and grassy areas to evade. Arkansas State Police joined the pursuit. Trooper Wooten took over as primary and clocked the stolen truck, doing over 90 mph through a 35 zone before identifying a position to execute a tactical vehicle intervention near Franklin Street. The first intervention sent the Colorado spinning into the parking lot of Chambers Bank where it struck a business sign before continuing to flee. Trooper Ride Out executed a second intervention, spinning the truck 180°. Crabtree still tried to run. Troopers Wooten and Grubs boxed the vehicle in from both sides, ending the chase. Crabtree was taken into custody without further incident. The business sign at Chambers Bank sustained approximately $3,500 in damage from the first intervention. The stolen Chevrolet Colorado was total. Crabtree was charged with theft by receiving criminal mischief and felony fleeing and held on an $8,500 bond. He had pleaded guilty to a stolen vehicle charge the day before and been given probation. He spent the next morning stealing another one. not clear to open the net. >> Yeah. >> One George Charles Edward Charles. On July 11th, 2022, Little Rock police officer CF Hall spotted a stolen Chevrolet Suburban in Little Rock, Arkansas, USA, and attempted a traffic stop. The driver refused and fled southbound, pulling officers into a pursuit that would stretch across city limits and into unincorporated Pilaski County before it ended. See how that sounded? southbound pass. Traff is light to medium speeds. on you. >> The suspect pushed the pursuit across multiple areas while officers coordinated positions, managed surrounding traffic, and [music] relayed location updates throughout. The chase continued for an extended stretch before Arkansas State Police troopers were able to get ahead of the vehicle near the landmark area in unincorporated Palaski County. Arkansas State Police troopers executed a precision immobilization technique and brought the stolen Suburban to a stop. The driver and a passenger were taken into custody without further incident. A search of the vehicle turned up a significant quantity of methamphetamine. The stolen Chevrolet Suburban and the methamphetamine recovered inside were both held as evidence. A pursuit that started with a stolen vehicle ended with drug charges on top of everything else. The Suburban was stolen. What was inside it was not supposed to be found at all. Have a seat right here. On August 18th, 2023, at approximately 2:05 p.m., Florida Highway Patrol trooper Elvis Nolasco with the Criminal Interdiction Unit in Broward County, Florida, USA, was notified of a high-speed pursuit traveling north on State Road 91 from the 88 mile marker. The pursuit had originated from an armed carjacking. Nolasco drove north and joined the chase as the lead vehicle near the 94 mile marker service plaza. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. The suspect vehicle drove extremely recklessly on the right shoulder, swerving aggressively between lanes. When Nolasco positioned for a precision immobilization technique, the suspect took evasive action and attempted to swerve into Nolasco's vehicle. The suspect then slammed his brakes, causing Nolasco to pass him. The suspect looped around to the right shoulder and accelerated again. This is extremely signal approaching one. >> I'm [ __ ] You turn back. Nolasco repositioned in the left lane and moved alongside the vehicle for a second attempt when the suspect braded again. This time colliding directly into Nolasco's patrol unit and incapacitating it. Nolasco drove his disabled patrol vehicle to the shoulder and removed himself from the pursuit. The chase continued northbound where the suspect identified as Lias MacArthur Corker Jr., a career offender with a revoked Florida license, was later apprehended by other units. Nolasco's patrol vehicle was incapacitated from the deliberate collision and taken out of service. Corker was charged with reckless driving causing damage to person or property, aggravated fleeing with injury or damage, and driving on a permanently revoked license. A carjacking suspect with a revoked license who deliberately used his vehicle as a weapon against a trooper mid pursuit. The charges that followed were the least surprising part of the entire encounter. On August 11th, 2024, at approximately 1:52 p.m., Florida Highway Patrol trooper David Ramos in Sumpter County, Florida, USA, spotted a black BMW 330i with windows that appeared too dark. When he pulled into a driveway to block the vehicle and activated emergency lights, the BMW edged forward twice before fleeing northbound. The pursuit was on. for me. [music] The BMW ran through stop sign after stop sign while weaving through residential streets before reaching US Highway 301 where it hit 110 mph in a 35 zone and began passing stopped vehicles by using the center turn lane. Ramos attempted a precision immobilization technique on East Kentucky Avenue where both vehicles went airborne after the BMW veered onto a grassy shoulder. A second attempt on New Hampshire Avenue forced the BMW into a ditch and into a tree, disabling it. The driver, Marlon Dcoin Underwood, exited and ran on foot. Ramos pursued and drew his Taser 7. Underwood surrendered and threw himself to the ground. A passenger also attempted to flee, but stopped when Ramos aimed the taser at him. As Ramos moved toward the passenger, Underwood began rising from the ground and yelled at the passenger to run. The passenger fled eastbound. Ramos placed Underwood under arrest. A check revealed his license had been revoked since July 2019. >> [ __ ] car with no [ __ ] license. >> That's exactly a got [ __ ] brother. >> I ain't got [ __ ] >> You going to work for bigger [ __ ] than what the [ __ ] I was wearing for? I just said I was GOING TO JAIL BEFORE I ran the police. Bro, I got [ __ ] license. Both the BMW and Ramos' patrol vehicles sustained damage during the pursuit, [music] including from the moment both vehicles went airborne during the first intervention attempts. Underwood was medically cleared and transported to Sumpter County Jail. The passenger was not located at the time of the report. A tinted window stop ended with a 110 mph chase, two vehicles going airborne, a tree, a foot chase, and a shouted instruction to a passenger to run. The BMW driver had not had a valid license in 5 years. [screaming] God, please give me a guard. [laughter] >> On September 11th, 2024 in Miami Dade County, Florida, USA, what began as a routine criminal interdiction patrol quickly turned into a high-speed pursuit. Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol spotted a white van that had been reported stolen, and the driver's behavior immediately raised concern. >> 23 23 23. Go for it. Go for it. >> All right, I'm taking radio traffic. North River Drive passing 74. >> When troopers attempted to stop the van, the driver refused to pull over. The vehicle continued through traffic, repeatedly changing lanes and creating a dangerous situation for other road users. Officers made several attempts to bring the pursuit to a safe end, but the driver continued moving. Okay. Then came the turning point. After several attempts, troopers successfully performed a precision immobilization technique or PET maneuver. The van lost control and came to a stop across the center median. Almost immediately, three occupants jumped out and attempted to flee on foot. In a matter of seconds, the traffic pursuit became a race against time. Turn 14205. >> One individual was taken into custody immediately. A second was restrained with assistance from a K-9 unit, while the third was detained shortly afterward. [music] The coordinated response brought the pursuit under control and prevented the situation from becoming even more dangerous. It was another reminder that on a busy road, one decision behind the wheel can affect far more people than the driver may realize. On December 8th, 2022, at approximately 3:47 p.m. on Interstate 440, USA, communications received a report about a suspected impaired driver near the 10mi marker. The vehicle was reportedly moving across multiple lanes and had nearly collided with other vehicles. An officer positioned on the north shoulder soon spotted it approaching. Knock 275 275 27. >> The officer activated the emergency lights and attempted to get the driver to pull over. The vehicle moved onto the shoulder, but instead of stopping, it continued slowly before returning to the roadway and crossing several lanes. Moments later, it struck a bridge near the shoulder, but continued moving. The officer followed closely, trying to bring the situation under control. As they approached the 13-mi marker, the situation reached a critical point. The officer moved into position and performed a precision immobilization technique. The vehicle eventually stopped after contacting the concrete median barrier. Officers ordered the driver, later identified as Donald Baxley, to exit, but Baxley appeared disoriented and did not respond normally. When he briefly looked toward the officers and revved the engine, the tension rose again, even though the vehicle could no longer move. Worry about this window here. I'll hold you first. Your hand Hang on. GET OUT. GET OUT. Get out. Get out. Get out. Get out. Get on the ground. Officers attempted to gain access to the vehicle and eventually opened the door, allowing them to assist Baxley out and place him in custody. Emergency medical personnel arrived and evaluated him at the scene. Baxley reportedly said he had been drinking, but claimed he had consumed only one beer. While officers noted a strong odor of alcohol, what began as a warning about an unsafe driver ended with a simple but powerful lesson. When judgment is impaired, even an ordinary drive can quickly become a serious risk to everyone nearby. On July 31st, 2026 in Poinset County, Arkansas, USA, trooper Victor Garcia was called to assist the Kittinen County Sheriff's Office with a vehicle pursuit on Interstate 555. Dispatch reported that the suspect vehicle was traveling northbound with its headlights turned off. Garcia joined the pursuit near the Pointet County and Craighead County line. Heat. Heat. As the pursuit continued, Garcia caught up with the vehicle near the 35 mi marker and performed a tactical vehicle intervention. The maneuver worked, sending the vehicle off the interstate and into a field where it rolled over and came to rest upside down. Officers immediately began giving commands for the driver to exit. Start 16. Roll over. We just salv. >> Then another danger appeared. Officers noticed smoke coming from the vehicle and a small fire developing in the engine compartment. The driver, later identified as Lamarius Ross, called for help and said he was trapped by his seat belt. While another officer provided cover, Garcia used a departmentisssued fire extinguisher to control the flames. Additional officers quickly arrived to help remove Ross from the vehicle. We're going to get some help up here. See if I can get him out. >> Yeah, see if he he's stuck inside the vehicle. >> Ross was placed in custody without further incident and evaluated by EMS after complaining of pain in his left shoulder and knee.
