Right [ __ ] here. He's got a gun. He's got a gun. Hey, adrenaline junkies. Welcome to Police Chase. Today, we're kicking off a brand new series. When people mess with the wrong cops, where every dumb move instantly triggers justice mode. All right, let's dive in. Deputies from the Bay County Sheriff's Office in Bay County, Florida, USA, had already wrapped up their domestic disturbance call on June 4th, 2026, and were preparing to make an arrest. The scene seemed to be winding down. It was not. >> Don't touch me, dog. Don't touch me. Hey man, don't touch me. >> We're fighting one. >> Don't touch me, bro. I'm about to >> The instant deputies reached for the handcuffs, the shirtless suspect exploded into resistance. He thrashed, grabbed, and fought back hard enough that it took several officers working together just to get him to the ground. Every second of the struggle was a reminder that no arrest is truly routine until it is over. There's >> army. >> Give us your hand. >> Get your hands. >> Give us your hand. >> Give me your hand. >> Deputies eventually pinned him down and got the cuffs on. The [music] suspect was taken into custody and the chaotic scene was finally brought under control through sheer combined effort. >> I'm not resisting. >> Please stop. He was charged with domestic battery, attempted aggravated battery, three counts of resisting with violence, [music] one count of resisting without violence and obstruction, five charges from one arrest. The original call brought deputies there, but his own actions in those final moments built the rest of the case against him. >> Four kill it didn't have to be like this. >> Right [ __ ] here. HEY, HE'S GOT A GUN. HE'S GOING TO GO. >> At 1:24 p.m. on May 29th, 2026, San Antonio Police Department officers in San Antonio, Texas, USA, arrived at the 2900 block of Chihuahua Street for what seemed like a straightforward task. Locating a wanted individual with active felony warrants. The suspect had other plans. >> Run back to you. Come here. Come here. >> Come here, [ __ ] Come here. >> What did I do to you? >> [ __ ] Right [ __ ] IN HERE. RIGHT [ __ ] IN HERE. HE'S GOT A GUN. HE'S GOT A GUN. >> The moment officers made contact, the [music] suspect bolted. What followed was a foot chase that escalated quickly and before it ended, a shooting occurred. The exact sequence of events was under active investigation at the time of this report. The 31-year-old suspect was struck and transported to hospital for treatment. A handgun was recovered at the exact location where he went down, a detail that would become central to the investigation. The officer involved had less than 2 years on the force. The recovered handgun was held as evidence while the investigation continued. Active warrants do not disappear by running from them. They only follow faster. >> Stay down. >> LET ME SEE YOUR HANDS. >> LET ME SEE YOUR HANDS. [screaming] LET ME SEE YOUR HANDS. >> And my foot stuck. It started hours earlier with a shooting. By 7:24 a.m. on July 11th, 2018, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officers in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, were already hunting two suspects who had fled the scene of an attempted murder in an early 2000 Ford Expedition with oversized wheels. They found the vehicle near Constantine and Cooper around 9:30 a.m. and the chase was on. Be >> advised, shots fired. Shots fired. What's the location? >> South Mojave. Passing Bonanza Black. Shots fired still. Charlie 751. >> Give me the air unit. >> Shots fired. Shots fired. >> Give me the air unit. During the lengthy pursuit, both suspects fired a total of 34 shots at pursuing officers, striking multiple marked patrol vehicles. Officers William Mumana and Paul Solomon returned fire 32 times throughout the chase and at the point where the pursuit ended at Ogden Avenue and 18th Street. window. >> Get down. >> Fidel Miranda, 23, was pronounced the scene. Renee Nunes, 30, was taken into custody with a gunshot wound and received medical treatment. Multiple Mark patrol vehicles were struck by gunfire during the chase, left as physical evidence of just how dangerous those miles of pursuit had been. Four shots fired at law enforcement. 32 fired back. Multiple patrol vehicles hit. All of it set in motion by two men who decided that running was worth more than stopping. It rarely is. >> Hey, the other one's up there. Hey, the other one ran up there. >> Before sunrise on November 11th near Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, a mother made a phone call that no parent ever wants to make. She told Nevada Highway Patrol that her 29-year-old son, Eric Ligreed, was planning to end his life, either by shooting himself or driving head-on into traffic in his black 2021 Toyota Tacoma. Troopers moved immediately to find him. >> Get your hands up. Get your hands up now. >> Don't do it. start to him up there. I believe in driving all over the place. >> Stop. I'll shoot. STOP OR I'LL SHOOT. >> Legry drove through a campsite at Red Rock National Conservation Area before leading troopers into the visitors center parking lot. When they boxed him in, he rammed their vehicles to break free. >> Get out [screaming] of the car. 5544. He's just rammed. Trooper, get out of the trooper. Get out of the car. >> Copy. He rammed your vehicle and arranger your vehicle in pursuit. A second officer rammed his truck from the side, deploying the airbags, but Lee Greed kept driving. With the airbags blocking their view inside the cab and no way to confirm whether he was armed, the situation grew critical. >> STARTED, >> WATCH OUT. WATCH OUT. >> A [ __ ] HE TOOK IT OFF. WATCH OUT. Watch out. >> Stop [screaming] the car. Two troopers and a Bureau of Land Management Ranger discharged their weapons, striking Legreed four times in the thighs. The truck stopped shortly after. No weapons were found inside the vehicle. No officers were injured. Legere survived and is expected to recover. >> Drop the DROP THE CAR. >> DROP THE CAR. >> 5544 SHOTS FIRED. >> GET OUT [screaming] OF THE CAR. PUT YOUR HANDS UP. Multiple Nevada Highway Patrol vehicles sustain damage from being rammed. Both troopers involved were placed on paid administrative leave pending investigation. Legreed faces charges including battery of a protected person, resisting a public officer and damaging or destroying state property. A crisis that began with a mother's phone call ended with damage across an entire parking lot and a son facing serious legal consequences on top of everything else. >> Come towards me. You're okay. I got you. I got you. >> I got it. I got it. Put your hands on your back. Go to the ground. Go to the ground. Go to the ground. Come on. >> Somebody get a tourniquet on his left. Get a tourniquet on his left. >> At 1:45 a.m. on June 15th, 2026, Trooper Jackson Schumate was on Interstate 30 East near Little Rock, Arkansas, USA, when a white Tesla Model Y caught his attention. First for following a commercial vehicle dangerously close, then for blowing through a 45 mph zone at over 70. Something about this driver was not right. When Schumate activated lights and sirens, the Tesla re-entered the interstate and accelerated hard. Troopers Cash and Corporal Ibara joined the pursuit. Schumatate attempted multiple tactical vehicle interventions but could not stop the vehicle and his patrol unit was disabled after a tire blew out during one of the attempts pulling him out of the chase entirely. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. We got about 3 minutes. I don't know right now. executed a successful tactical vehicle intervention, sending the Tesla off the roadway. [music] The driver, James Reigns, refused to exit even after repeated commands and had to be physically extracted through a broken window. He smelled of alcohol, spoke with slurred speech, and later blew a 0.14 on a breath test. A blood test followed at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock. >> Keep him up. Keep him up now. Get out the car. Crawl the [ __ ] WINDOW RIGHT NOW. CRAWL THE [ __ ] WINDOW RIGHT NOW. >> CRAWL. CRAWL. >> CRAWL. >> Get your ass out. Hey, get your [ __ ] ass out. Get your eyes on your back. Quit resisting. >> Shoemate's patrol vehicle sustained minor damage from the failed intervention attempts. Reigns was found to have a prior driving while intoxicated conviction in Saline County from 2024 and was charged with following too closely, felony fleeing, driving while intoxicated as a second offense, speeding, improper lane change, and refusal to submit to arrest. a second offense at 0.14 in the middle of the night running from three marked units. The only surprise here is that anyone thought it would end differently. >> On June 16th, 2026, an Arkansas State Police officer in Arkansas, USA moved in to stop a reckless driver, later identified as Elizabeth Hyatt. She slowed down just enough to suggest she might comply. Then she floored it. Hyatt pushed through the pursuit recklessly, cutting through traffic and refusing to yield despite repeated attempts by the officer to end the chase safely. The further she drove, the longer the list of consequences waiting at the finish line grew. contact with the keyholder. >> The officer executed a precision immobilization technique and brought Hyatt's vehicle to a stop. She was ordered out of the car, told to get on the ground and detained without further incident. The officer confirmed to her directly that she was going to jail. There was no ambiguity about what came next. Hyatt was charged with felony fleeing, unauthorized use of property, reckless driving, no valid driver's license, no liability insurance, defective vehicle lights, and speeding more than 15 mph over the limit. She came into the stop with a car full of violations. She left with a felony on top of all of them. >> What's your birthday? On June 15th, 2026, at approximately 8:22 a.m., Trooper Aureliano was running traffic enforcement on Interstate 55 northbound in Arkansas, USA, when a red Chevrolet Corvette rolled past with an expired registration and a cover over the plate. He pulled in behind it, activated emergency lights, and waited. After about 25 seconds, white smoke poured from the exhaust as the Corvette launched forward. The chase was on. The Corvette hit speeds exceeding 150 mph at times reaching 156 before crossing the Arkansas and Missouri state line. Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers were staged ahead and successfully deployed tire deflation devices near the four mile marker, flattening the left side tires and forcing the car to slow. eastbound on 164. He's lo tires. Stay Orelano moved alongside the slowing Corvette to position for a tactical vehicle intervention near Missouri State Highway 164. The driver break suddenly, causing both vehicles to collide and become disabled. The driver, Jaden Smith, jumped out and ran across a field with a black backpack before stopping and surrendering when Aelano closed the distance. [music] Smith was taken into custody as Missouri troopers arrived to assist. >> You do anything to [ __ ] you up. You understand me? >> Yes, sir. Yes, sir. >> The [ __ ] are you running for? >> I ain't got I ain't got >> You ain't got what? You're a [ __ ] dumbass. You know that. Get the [ __ ] up. 1015. Both the Corvette and Orlano's patrol vehicle were damaged in the collision. The Arkansas State Police announced they would seek restitution. Smith's backpack contained two Ram TRX key fobs, a Dodge SRT key, and his own driver's license. A small amount of suspected marijuana was found in the Corvette. After his arrest, Smith said he was not worried about the car because he would simply buy another one. The court will have something to say about that. On June 16th, 2026, trooper Reagan Ees pulled behind a gray Chevrolet Impala on US Highway 65 South near Dumas, Arkansas, USA for nothing more than a cracked windshield. [music] The driver, Nicholas Rubin, eased onto the shoulder as if he was going to stop. Then he did not. Adam X3 Zebra 95 John AXZ 95J. It's going to be on a black Chevy. Show me 1037. We're back northbound. Reuben spun the car around, left skid marks across the road, then turned onto a dirt path cutting through a corn field. While driving through the field, he hung his left arm out the window and began dumping marijuana onto the road, apparently hoping to get rid of the evidence before anyone could catch up. if we'll be driving through somebody's field. Drive through a field. We're eastbound through the field now. Going north through another cornfield. Now we're westbound through people's backyards. Reuben cut through civilian backyards before stopping behind a residence on Robinwood Road and surrendering. When asked why he ran, he told the trooper he was in fear for his life. A search of the Impala told a different story. A bag of marijuana in the driver's seat and a Palmetto 15 rifle on the floorboard. Put the car in park. Drop the [ __ ] key. With your left hand, open the door. Now get out the [ __ ] car. Face that way. Raise the back of your shirt with both your hands, grabbing the top of it. Turn around. Turn. Turn. Turn all the way around. Go to your [ __ ] stomach. >> The marijuana Reuben dumped out the window was recovered from the roadway and added to the evidence already seized from the vehicle. Archie's towing service was called to impound the Impala. Rubin was charged with felony fleeing, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, tampering with physical evidence, possession of a controlled substance, reckless driving, speeding, and driving on a suspended license, among other offenses. He ran from a cracked windshield and left a trail of evidence across an entire cornfield. It is hard to imagine a less effective escape. Easy, easy. >> It's spinning up. >> On May 7th, 2025, at approximately 8:20 p.m. near Preston on westbound Interstate 90 in Seattle, Washington, USA, a Washington State Patrol officer attempted to stop a Honda Civic for a lane violation. What appeared to be a routine traffic violation quickly escalated into a chase involving two brothers, a helicopter, and a series of risky maneuvers. with a red and white jacket. >> Try with a red and white jacket. >> There's two vehicles now. Take it from the correct lanes of traffic. We're starting rolling. Slow down. Okay, there it is. Right there. Right. Easy, easy. >> It's spinning out now. It's facing the right way. It's in the ditch. Go, go. >> With the assistance of the Guardian 1 helicopter and Seattle police officers, Daniel was eventually apprehended and safe. Both brothers are now facing multiple criminal charges, including attempting to evade law enforcement, obstruction, and reckless endangerment. While investigators continue to review the events surrounding the incident, many believe they really thought they were in GTA trying to double team the cop. bringing my advising driver to open up. >> Which side was >> which one? >> They're taking the passenger in custody. They're still talking to the driver and they're taking both into custody right now. We got another pet. >> On May 26th, 2025, at approximately 8:00 a.m. in the 2600 block of Northwest 27th Avenue in Marian County, Florida, US, Corporal Gary Miller of the traffic division spotted a vehicle speeding by about 20 mph. What seemed like a simple stop quickly escalated into one of the most frantic chases ever. Corporal Miller activated his hazard lights and attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver identified as 31-year-old Leroy Graham continued to drive away. For several minutes, Graham maintained a normal speed before suddenly accelerating as he reached Interstate 75 on Northwest Blitchton. Turn it on old lady. Coming up the state road. >> Coming up the state road 40. >> [music] >> Stay road 40. >> Dash cam footage later showed a multi-mile chase with Corporal Miller making multiple attempts to intercept the vehicle using the PT method while other deputy sheriffs, Sheriff Okala and the sheriff's aviation team also joined in. Another pit. He's driving out of it. The chase finally ended when Graham turned onto Southwest Highway 200 and stopped. In a suspected criminal stop, officers safely apprehended him. According to investigators, Graham later explained that he fled because he did not have a valid driver's license. Graham was taken to Marian County Jail and held on $5,500 bail, which he posted later that same day. Well, that's a dumb Florida man. 31. On May 29th, 2025, at approximately 6 PM on Interstate 75 in Franklin, Butler County, Ohio, Jabalo, Ohio State Highway Patrol officers were conducting a speed check when they spotted a red GMC envoy traveling at 82 mph in a 65 mph zone. What began as a speeding violation quickly escalated into an unbelievable rollover accident. 192 again. See if you can push over towards the uh get a good visual on the driver. >> I believe so. She made eye contact with us. something traffic off the right side of the road right off the road. >> Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but investigators said the driver identified as Jennifer Wilson refused to comply. Dash cam footage shows the SUV continuing on the road for several minutes before veering off the road. In an apparent attempt to regain control, Wilson steered too sharply, causing the vehicle to flip over multiple times before coming to a stop at the median. In moments like these, a few seconds of panic can sometimes outweigh years of driving experience. [music] >> Yeah. >> Fire hydra. right now. >> As emergency responders rushed to the scene, a passing nurse stopped to help before the official medical team arrived. Wilson sustained minor injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for examination. Following medical care, Wilson was arrested and is now facing several charges, including driving under the influence, failing to comply with a legal order, and losing control of a vehicle. Investigators have also linked her to a hit-and-run accident earlier that day in Montgomery County. Massive shout out to that ICU nurse who pulled over to help out. Dash cam footage shows the Taurus repeatedly driving against traffic, weaving between vehicles, and speeding through intersections. The officer slowed down several times to protect other drivers, even as the suspect created further distance. Watching the video, it's hard not to wonder how quickly a single misstep can put so many people in danger. The chase ended after the Taurus entered an intersection at a red light and collided with other vehicles. Officers quickly cordined off the scene and requested medical assistance. Investigators later found a loaded handgun, suspected marijuana, cash, and other items inside the vehicle. My main concern is my family driving with nut jobs on the road like this. >> No, no, hold on. I got you wrong. Mr. Lewis, >> what's your uh phone number? 912. >> Uh-huh. Hey, DOWN. SHOTS FIRED. SHOTS FIRED. SHOTS FIRED. >> ON the afternoon of May 17th, 2025 in the 103000 North Freeway in Houston, Texas, USA, Houston police received a report of a three vehicle accident that initially appeared to be a minor collision. Two vehicles remained at the scene, but a green SUV fled the scene, creating an unexpected situation. Right. So, what was your intention? You didn't want to provide any information. You know, it's state law to do that, right? >> What did you hit? >> After police notified the missing vehicle, other patrol units located the SUV and its intoxicated driver nearby. When officers attempted to apprehend the driver for questioning, the driver lifted his shirt, reached for a handgun concealed in his belt, and pulled it out. GO. SHOTS FIRED. SHOTS FIRED. SHOTS FIRED. SHOTS FIRED. 22 21. Shots fired. >> Hey. WHOA. >> Faced with this immediate threat, two Houston police officers fired their weapons in self-defense and to maintain safety. Once the situation was under control, officers quickly moved in and provided emergency assistance while awaiting the arrival of medical personnel from the Houston Fire Department. Authorities later confirmed that forensic experts would complete the identification process. For many who watched the body warn video, the incident left a difficult question. Was this the fastest drunk driving investigation in law enforcement history? >> [screaming] >> Damn. On May 3rd, 2025, shortly afternoon, at a PV Quickstop convenience store in Mon, Illinois, USA, officers from the Mon County Sheriff's Office received a 9/11 emergency call reporting that a 38-year-old man, later identified as Oscar Mccur, was allegedly brandishing a machete near customers at the gas station. What began as a disturbance report quickly escalated into a tense and unpredictable confrontation. Damn. >> Shortly after, officers and a Decatur Park Sheriff's officer arrived. Mccur suddenly climbed into a patrol car and drove away, circling the area until he collided with another patrol car. Ah, damn. >> He then exited the vehicle carrying a gun to resist arrest, prompting officers to react while repeatedly urging him to drop the weapon for leniency. Let's go. Come on. Here. >> Shots fired. Shots fired. Shots fired. Get down to the ground. For nearly 20 minutes afterward, officers continued to advise the suspect to remain calm and maintain a safe distance, patiently observing Mccur until they could finally safely apprehend him. Mccur was taken to the hospital for treatment while one officer was injured in the incident and discharged the same day. Mccur was subsequently held at the Mon County Jail while prosecutors announced on May 30th, 2025 that no charges would be filed against the officers involved. Potential charges against Mccur remain under consideration. Witnessing the events, many viewers commented the cop who got rearended had the vibe of someone two days away from retirement. >> Stay stay with us. Stay even with us on the ground right now. >> NO. HOW DO YOU DO THAT? NO. >> BECAUSE HE'S UNDER ARREST. In December 2023, police officers arrived at Eli Johnson's home in Bu, Idaho, USA, after previously pulling over his vehicle for allegedly speeding at 41 mph in a 25 mph zone. What initially started as a speeding ticket quickly escalated into a heated argument over personal rights versus police authority. >> Okay. Uh, secure and go get a search warrant, >> I guess, cuz it's infraction, right? It's all guys. There's an infraction on him. >> Yeah. Uh, >> he said he would talk to He said he would talk to you, but he's not going to talk to me. >> Elijah, come out here so we can talk to you for a minute. >> No, I'm not coming out there. This is my home. >> Okay. Well, we need to issue the citation. So, >> and that's fine. >> Footage from body camera shows Johnson backing into his home, insisting the officers had no right to enter. The officers, including Sheriff Jeremy Angbomb, repeatedly told him he was under investigation for obstructing duty and demanded he leave. Watching this exchange, one might wonder where the line lies between defending one's own rights and complying with police orders. >> You have passed the threshold. Get your foot off of my door. >> You need to come out here to finish this. >> Call the attorney. >> That's fine. You're more than welcome to. >> You have no right to come in here for a speeding ticket. >> Get your foot out of my door. >> But you're ab chief of police. You're cricket. Get your foot out of my door. I know you have no problem breaking the law. Get your foot out of my door. >> You're under arrest. >> No. >> Open the door. He's under arrest. >> He's under arrest. >> Under arrest. Open the door. >> Help you PUSH THE DOOR. >> NO. HOW DO YOU DO THAT? NO. BECAUSE HE'S UNDER ARREST. >> After numerous warnings, the officers approached the door and attempted to arrest Johnson. During a struggle inside the house, a taser was used multiple times, resulting in Eli Johnson being submissive and handcuffed. >> On the ground, >> stop. >> Stop resisting. You're going TO GET TASED AGAIN. >> STOP. HELP. [screaming] >> Stop resisting or you're going TO GET TASED AGAIN. >> HELP ME. HELP. >> TIME OUT. MY >> STOP RESISTING. ARE YOU GOING TO get paid again? >> Put your hand behind your back. Put your hand behind your back. >> OH MY GOD. THIS is not necessary. Help. >> Call your fault. >> Initially, Johnson was charged with multiple offenses, but those charges were later dismissed. He has since filed lawsuits against the police chief and the city, alleging violations of his constitutional rights. While a judge is expected to decide whether the case will proceed. One audience member commented, "If you're going to go that route, don't open the door." >> Hey, you still got you still got that knife in your pocket. [music] Leave that here. Come over here. >> Drop it. >> DROP THE GUN. DROP IT. ON June 14th, 2025 at approximately 5:45 p.m. at 15800 East Arkansas Drive, Aurora, Colorado, USA, Aurora police received the call reporting a domestic disturbance. Investigators said the incident stemmed from a marital dispute. That very call proved costly for the husband. >> And his wife brings booze home and when they get drunk, they pick on me. >> So, it's your daughter-in-law and your son that are causing the problems? >> Yes. All right. >> And I want her removed from my house. >> And you said they've been drinking. >> They drink all day long. >> When officers arrived, the couple had separated and the husband had gone into the garage. As officers calmly spoke with him, he suddenly pulled a handgun from his toolbox. Body camera footage shows officers repeatedly ordering, "Put down your weapon." However, in moments of tension, emotions can cloud judgment in action. >> Hey, get back. >> Hey, DROP IT. DROP IT. DROP IT. >> DROP THE GUN. DROP IT. [screaming] >> HANDS. HANDS. HANDS. DROP IT. >> DROP IT. >> DROP IT. >> DROP [screaming] IT. >> Authorities said the man then pointed the gun at the officers, leading to a police involved shooting. Around 6:00 p.m., an officer fired his personal weapon during the encounter. Fortunately, no officers sustained physical injuries, and emergency responders quickly transported the 58-year-old man to a local hospital for emergency medical treatment. >> Get the gun. Get the gun. >> Move over. >> Pull your arm. Pull your arm out. >> Watch the door. WATCH THE DOOR from a distance. >> From a distance. >> Roll over. >> You can give me a break. >> Let's get him hooked up. >> Hey, I need my medical bag for my truck. In accordance with department policy, the officer involved has been placed on paid administrative leave while investigators continue to review the circumstances surrounding the incident. For viewers of the bodywn video, one thought that might linger is talking with cops and casually grabbing a gun is crazy. >> All right, you're you're good, brother. Calm down.
