for Lucy Sheriff Mike Sherwood here with a hurricane message now is the time to make your preparations and if you were in that mandatory evacuation Zone we need you to evacuate I can't force it but what we're seeing and what hurricane Ian had done to us the damage that has left there are several businesses high-rise condos and homes that are in imminent danger of collapsing up on the peninsula assume that if you flooded out during Hurricane end there's a good chance you're going to flood out again there is a 7 PM curfew that goes into effect Wednesday night and will run through 7 A.M Thursday morning when we will reassess it we are joining forces with Ormond Beach Daytona Beach Ponce Inlet and the Shores Police Department to make sure that that Peninsula is locked down the storm surge is going to absolutely flood out A1A and again I'm praying it doesn't happen but we have businesses that are in imminent danger of collapsing we are doing these mandatory evacuation for your safety the safety of our community and lastly if you think you're going to get up and act like the fool your ass will be nice and dry into Branch Jail from 7 P.M Wednesday night on throw probably midday on Thursday is when we're going to see the biggest effects of the storm the good news is it's fast moving at nine miles an hour uh the bad news is it is potentially devastating in the areas that have already been devastated under hurricane Ian that we have not had a chance to get our footing back on us so look out for your neighbors prepare if you're going to hunker down on the beach side be advised we might not be able to come and get you if something horrific happens so God bless everybody stay safe we'll get through this as we always do think think
