[screaming] >> Hey adrenaline junkies, welcome to Police Chase. Today we're kicking off a brand new series, when people messed with the wrong cop, where every dumb move instantly triggers justice mode. All right, let's dive in. >> OPEN THE DOOR! [screaming] >> YOU WANT TO [ __ ] GO? >> HE'S POINTING IT. HE'S POINTING IT. >> [screaming] >> On June 7th, 2025 in Lancaster, California, USA, Los Angeles County deputies responded to reports of an armed incident in the 1200 block of Meadow View Circle involving a man who had allegedly threatened a victim before leaving the area on foot. >> Took my Took my headphones, took my >> [music] >> gun on me. And then when I tried to take my headphones back and hit him with my [ __ ] board to defend myself, he pulled out like he's going to [ __ ] shoot me, so. And then he just came up to me apologizing, pretending like I was someone else. So no, I'm not [ __ ] doing with that [ __ ] >> While searching nearby streets, a deputy spotted a man matching the description. He was later identified as 31-year-old Eric Barrios. Believing he might be connected to the incident, deputies detained him and called for additional units. >> Stop. Don't. Don't. Stop. >> I'm a resident. I'm a resident right there. I'm not doing nothing. >> Put your [ __ ] hands behind your back. >> I've not done nothing wrong, sir. PLEASE, STOP. >> [screaming] [applause] >> DEPUTIES REPEATEDLY SHOUTED, "Stop resisting!" but the situation escalated within seconds when officers realized Barrios was holding a handgun. One deputy deployed a taser at nearly the same moment a shot was fired, leaving a deputy wounded in the lower torso. In moments like these, officers are forced to make [music] life-changing decisions under intense pressure with little time to think and no room for mistakes. Deputies immediately shifted their attention to providing emergency aid while paramedics responded to the scene. The injured deputy was taken to a hospital and listed in critical but stable condition. Investigators later recovered a loaded 9 mm ghost gun nearby. Incidents like this leave behind difficult questions and painful reminders that a single choice made in a matter of seconds can alter countless lives forever. >> You >> Hey, Eric, HEY! >> HEY, HEY, HEY! >> [screaming] >> HEY! >> OH MY GOD! >> OPEN THE DOOR! >> ON FEBRUARY 6TH, 2025 at approximately 5:11 p.m. in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA, NOPD officers located a white Kia Optima stopped near the North Claiborne Avenue bridge at Poland Avenue. Investigators had linked the vehicle to an armed incident reported earlier that day in the 300 block of North Claiborne Street. >> You guys got to make your way up to the Kia. >> What's happening with the Kia? What's going on? >> I see something on the driver's side over here. >> Stay. Stay. >> Got him! Move in! >> On the ground! >> Don't move! Get on the ground! >> Officers stepped out of their patrol vehicles and approached on foot, giving clear verbal commands for the occupants to exit. Instead of cooperating, the driver suddenly accelerated, jumped a curb while leaving the bridge, struck several vehicles, nearly hit one officer, and collided with another before speeding away. In just a few seconds, what could have been a routine stop turned into a dangerous situation for everyone nearby. >> Shots fired. >> Don't be in front of the car. >> Hands up. Stay. Stay. Stay right there. Shots up. Open the door. OPEN THE DOOR. DOOR. >> OFFICERS REACTED QUICKLY TO STOP THE IMMEDIATE THREAT, and several shots were discharged toward the fleeing vehicle. One officer was transported to a hospital with minor injuries. Investigators later identified 20-year-old Juquon Dominique as a suspect through surveillance footage and witness statements. He was arrested on February 12th, 2025, and faced multiple charges, including two counts related to attempting to seriously harm law enforcement officers. The officers involved were reassigned according to department policy before eventually returning [music] to duty. Cases like this leave many wondering how different the outcome might have been if a single decision had been made differently. >> Open the door. >> On February 3rd, 2025, at 2:38 p.m. in Fairfax, Virginia, USA, Fairfax County police officers responded to the 12800 block of Fair Lakes Parkway after a caller told dispatchers that he had harmed two people. As officers began investigating the report, a 16-year-old male suddenly ran toward one of them and immediately became physically aggressive. During the struggle, the officer sustained an injury to his upper body from a knife before the teenager was quickly taken into custody. The injured officer, a 6-year veteran assigned to the Fair Oaks District, was transported to a local hospital with injuries that were fortunately not considered life-threatening and was later released. Investigators soon discovered that the teenager himself had made the original emergency call and that his alarming statements were unfounded. >> You all right? Get on the [ __ ] ground! >> He's pointing it. He's pointing it. >> On January 7th, 2025 at approximately 3:15 p.m. in Dallas, Texas, USA, the Dallas Police Department received six separate 911 calls reporting a man pointing what appeared to be a handgun at passing vehicles along Joaquin Drive. Witnesses described the individual, later identified as 52-year-old Michael Alonzo, wearing a red hoodie and gray sweatpants. >> This intersection is what he said. >> Red hoodie, gray sweats. >> That guy. >> The [ __ ] He's got a gun in his hand. >> Yeah, I can't tell. >> Yep, park farther. >> Get the [ __ ] ON THE GROUND! >> Officers Lopez-Navarro and Nathaniel Kearns arrived at around 3:21 p.m. and quickly spotted a man matching the description standing in the roadway. Body cam footage captured a tense moment as officers repeatedly gave commands in both English and Spanish hoping to bring the situation to a peaceful end. However, their instructions appeared to to unanswered. >> Get the [ __ ] on the ground! >> You just pointed at that guy. >> Get on THE [ __ ] GROUND! >> [screaming] >> LAY DOWN! I SWEAR TO GOD! >> HE'S POINTING AT HE'S POINTING at him. >> Shots fired. >> Believing there was an immediate threat to nearby motorists and themselves, the officers reacted within seconds. After the scene was secured, officers immediately provided first aid until Dallas Fire Rescue personnel arrived. Alonzo was transported to a hospital where he remained in critical but stable condition. Investigators later determined that the item recovered was a Crosman revolver CO2 air pistol designed to resemble a real firearm. Alonzo is expected to face three counts of deadly conduct with additional charges possible. Incidents like this often leave communities reflecting on how appearances, impulsive actions, and split-second decisions can lead to consequences that affect many lives. >> I think he's getting hit once. All right, get ready for punches. >> On July 10th, 2025, at 11:41 a.m. in Orlando, Florida, USA, a Florida Highway Patrol trooper conducting speed enforcement along SR 408 noticed a gray Mercedes GLC traveling at 92 mph in a 60-mph zone. The SUV's heavily tinted windows and rapid acceleration immediately drew the trooper's attention. As the trooper moved in behind the Mercedes and activated emergency lights and sirens, the driver refused to pull over and instead accelerated away. Within minutes, the SUV was weaving through traffic using road shoulders to pass vehicles, cutting drivers off, and reaching speeds of nearly 135 mph. For motorists sharing the roadway, an ordinary late morning commute suddenly became an alarming experience. Near mile marker 7, the Mercedes lost control and struck a concrete barrier damaging its wheels but continuing forward. As troopers attempted to position their patrol vehicle to safely end the pursuit, the Mercedes suddenly slowed leading to contact between the vehicles. The SUV spun, struck another barrier, and finally rolled to a stop along the shoulder near a guardrail. The driver then jumped out and ran toward Pine Hills Road ignoring repeated commands before eventually stopping and surrendering. In moments like these, officers often have only seconds to prevent an already dangerous situation from becoming even worse. Hey, stay back. Stay back. Get back in the car. Get back in the car. Get back in the car. Come on. Come on. Get back in the car. >> Hey, he's running on foot. >> HEY, STOP RIGHT THERE. >> THE DRIVER WAS identified as Darius Demetrius Lowe and was arrested at approximately 11:46 a.m. Authorities later learned he was already on release status for a previous fleeing-related offense. During a search, troopers recovered nearly $3,900 in cash, 27 pills that presumptively tested positive for fentanyl, and suspected marijuana from the vehicle. Investigators also discovered an object resembling a handgun, which was later determined to be a torch lighter designed to imitate a Glock-style pistol. Cases like this remind us that a few minutes of reckless decisions can lead to consequences far greater than anyone anticipates, putting countless strangers at risk along the way. On January 23rd, 2025 at 12:01 a.m. in Lee County, Florida, USA, the Florida Highway Patrol received an urgent alert from the Lee County Sheriff's Office regarding a man identified as John Cowan. According to dispatch notes, he had allegedly taken his child without permission, made concerning statements about harming himself, and was believed to be armed while driving a white Dodge Ram pickup truck. Over the next hour, deputies from neighboring agencies located the truck several times, but the driver repeatedly left the area before officers could safely intervene. Fortunately, authorities later learned that the child had been left unharmed at a 7-Eleven parking lot near Bonita Beach Road. Even so, concerns remained high as the suspect continued driving through the county during the early morning hours. At approximately 12:57 a.m., FHP troopers located the truck stopped on the shoulder of the Matanzas Pass Bridge inside a construction zone with all of its lights turned off. As soon as patrol lights illuminated the scene, the truck pulled back onto the roadway and accelerated away. Considering the seriousness of the reported events and the potential danger to the public, troopers acted quickly to bring the pursuit to an end. Despite an initial attempt being unsuccessful, the truck later lost a tire while traveling at high speed. A second maneuver guided the vehicle off the roadway and into nearby mangroves where it finally came to a stop. Troopers ordered the driver to come out, but he initially remained hidden among the mangroves. After several minutes of communication, he apologized and said he was injured. At 1:08 a.m., John Cowan emerged and peacefully surrendered. Emergency crews transported him for medical treatment while investigators prepared charges related to domestic violence, unlawful restraint, child endangerment, fleeing law enforcement, reckless driving, and resisting officers. Looking back, this case serves as a powerful reminder that moments of crisis can quickly spiral out of control, but they can also end with an opportunity for accountability and a chance to seek help before more lives are affected. >> The same. >> I'm 4415. >> On January 15th, 2025 at around 9:00 p.m. in Mount Dora, Florida, USA, a Florida Highway Patrol Trooper conducting speed enforcement along USA Highway 441 observed a gray Chevrolet Silverado traveling at 85 mph in a 50 mph zone. What initially appeared to be another speeding violation soon evolved into something far more serious. As the Trooper attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the driver suddenly entered a turn lane, drove through a red light, made a U-turn, and accelerated southbound. The pursuit continued into Orange County, where the pickup reportedly exceeded 110 mph and ignored another red light while other vehicles were actively crossing the intersection. For nearby drivers, an ordinary evening commute became an unexpected and unsettling experience. Near Ola Beach Drive, the Trooper used a precision immobilization technique or PIT maneuver to safely stop the fleeing vehicle. The Silverado overturned onto the shoulder of US Highway 441. The driver, later identified as 21-year-old Corey Michael Wakefield, suffered several injuries and repeatedly claimed that another person had been behind the wheel. However, investigators quickly learned that the individual he named was currently incarcerated and could not have been involved. Sometimes, even in the most chaotic moments, facts have a way of telling their own story. During a search, deputies recovered prescription pills, a white powdery substance later identified as containing cocaine and fentanyl, cash, and identification document. Investigators also determined that the 2014 Silverado had been reported stolen in Lake County weeks earlier. Wakefield was taken to a hospital for treatment before being booked on multiple charges, including possession-related offenses, vehicle theft, reckless driving, aggravated fleeing, and providing false information to law enforcement. Cases like this leave many people reflecting on how a few minutes of risky decisions can create consequences that follow someone long after the sirens fade away. On January 11th, 2025 at approximately 3:18 a.m. in Springdale, Arkansas, USA, Arkansas State Police troopers were notified that Springdale police officers were attempting to stop a 2015 Chrysler 300 traveling westbound on Sunset Avenue. Assistance was requested as the vehicle entered Interstate 49 heading south. What began as a local pursuit was quickly becoming a regional effort to prevent further danger on the highway. According to radio traffic, the vehicle's speed initially hovered around 60 mph before rapidly increasing to nearly 100 mph as officers followed from a distance. During the pursuit, troopers remained focused on balancing enforcement actions with the safety of drivers sharing the roadway in the early hours of the morning. Eventually, officers were able to bring the incident under control and take the driver into custody. As investigators searched the Chrysler, they discovered an open container of beer on the passenger seat and an empty Glock 19X handgun case in the trunk. Officers also learned that the vehicle had reportedly been seen near an earlier shots fired investigation, adding another layer of concern to an already tense situation. Sometimes, the most challenging part of police work is responding to unfolding events without fully knowing what may be waiting at the end of the road. >> Walk back. Walk back. Walk back. Walk back. Walk back. Take five steps to the right. Stop. Step right. Step right. Step right. Keep stepping right. Stepping right. >> Although no firearm was found inside the vehicle, the items were covered and the circumstances surrounding the pursuit became part of the ongoing investigation. Incidents like this leave behind an important lesson. A few moments of risky decisions on the road can trigger a chain of events that affects not only those directly involved, but also countless strangers simply trying to make it home safely. >> Hey. Stop and restart the screen. >> On April 20th, 2021, at approximately 3:46 p.m. in Paulding County, Georgia, USA, a state trooper observed a silver Nissan Murano committing several traffic violations near Whitworth Church Loop and Highway 90. What appeared to be a routine traffic stop soon turned into a dangerous chain of events that put countless motorists at risk. After stopping the vehicle, the trooper asked the driver to move into a safer location away from traffic. As the officer returned to his patrol car, the driver suddenly accelerated and fled. At first, the trooper believed there may have been a misunderstanding, but within moments it became clear that the driver had no intention of stopping. Speeds quickly climbed, eventually reaching nearly 110 mph in a 45-mph zone. The pursuit continued as the Nissan weaved through traffic and repeatedly failed to maintain its lane. Ahead was a busy intersection known for heavy traffic, creating a serious concern for everyone on the road. Faced with a rapidly escalating danger, the trooper made a split-second decision to perform a pursuit intervention technique, or PIT maneuver, to safely bring the pursuit to an end before the situation became even more hazardous. The maneuver successfully stopped the vehicle, and the driver, later identified as Jayden Mekhi Hamilton, was taken into custody without further incident. When asked why he ran, Hamilton reportedly explained that he did not have a driver's license and was afraid of being taken to jail. Looking back, it is hard not to wonder how differently the day might have ended had he simply remained at the original traffic stop. What began as a minor traffic matter ultimately resulted in far greater consequences than the violation that started it all. >> Keep moving! Keep moving! >> On March 3rd, 2021, in Clayton County, Georgia, USA, a Georgia State Trooper initiated a traffic stop on Interstate 675 near Double Bridge Road after noticing a vehicle with window tint that appeared to violate state regulations. What seemed like a routine enforcement stop quickly turned into a dangerous pursuit stretching across multiple jurisdictions. >> As the trooper approached the vehicle, the driver, later identified as Nike May Greaves, suddenly accelerated down the emergency lane. The trooper immediately returned to his patrol car and began the pursuit. According to reports, Greaves repeatedly weaved through traffic using reckless maneuvers in an apparent attempt to avoid being stopped. The chase continued southbound as additional agencies were notified and prepared to assist. The situation reached a critical point as the pursuit approached the Interstate 75 interchange, an area crowded with traffic. As Greaves merged back into the travel lane, several vehicles were struck causing a major collision that left one vehicle overturned. Within seconds, the suspect vehicle became disabled near a concrete barrier. What started with a window tint violation had now created a serious threat to countless people sharing the highway. Officers safely took Greaves into custody and requested medical assistance for everyone involved. Further investigation revealed that he was wanted by multiple agencies for previous legal matters, including failure to appear in court and parole-related violations. After receiving medical evaluation, Greaves was transported to jail. The incident serves as a powerful reminder that attempting to avoid a traffic stop often leads to consequences far greater than the original reason for being stopped. In many cases, a single decision made in seconds can impact dozens of lives. On April 6th, 2023 at approximately 12:10 p.m. near mile marker 135 on Interstate 40 in Arkansas, USA, a state trooper noticed a white Chevrolet Cruise with heavily tinted windows. The vehicle was also following another car too closely and slowing traffic in the left lane. What began as a routine traffic stop would soon unfold into a high-speed pursuit. When the trooper activated his emergency lights, the vehicle exited the Interstate but failed to stop. After slowing briefly, the driver suddenly accelerated away, running a stop sign and reaching speeds of nearly 100 mph. As the pursuit continued, officers watched the vehicle place both itself and countless other motorists in danger. Every mile added more uncertainty to an already risky situation. >> As the chase approached Lasker Lane, the trooper made the decision to perform a tactical vehicle intervention. The maneuver caused the vehicle to rotate before striking an embankment and rolling over. Moments later, the driver, identified as Daveon Richards, climbed out and attempted to flee on foot, but with officers already closing in, the foot pursuit was short-lived. Richards and passenger Paul Humphrey were taken into custody while medical personnel treated minor injuries sustained during the incident. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed approximately 150 pills believed to be fentanyl along with a small quantity of suspected narcotics. Richards later faced multiple felony charges including trafficking controlled substances and fleeing law enforcement. Looking back, it's hard not to wonder how differently the day might have ended if the driver had simply stopped when the emergency lights first appeared in his mirror. Sometimes the decision to run creates consequences far greater than the ORIGINAL STOP ITSELF. ON JULY 17TH, 2023, at approximately 10:28 a.m. near Interstate 40 in Crittenden County, Arkansas, USA, officers were alerted to an active vehicle pursuit involving a black Chevrolet Tahoe. As the SUV entered the Interstate, speeds quickly climbed above 100 mph. What started as an attempt to avoid a traffic stop was rapidly becoming a serious threat to everyone on the road. >> He's 120, or 104, and currently in medium traffic. We're going to AC S67X. Come on. >> Once traffic conditions allowed, the trooper performed a tactical vehicle intervention. The maneuver caused the Tahoe to rotate, strike the outer barrier, then slide across the interstate before coming to a stop. In a matter of moments, a pursuit that had stretched across miles of highway was finally over. The driver, later identified as Thomas Bradley, was taken into custody without further incident. >> Hold Stay back here. Stay back here. Get out with your long gun. >> During the investigation, officers learned that the vehicle registration had expired, and Bradley's driver's license had been suspended. While in custody, he began showing signs of a possible medical emergency and was immediately evaluated by EMS before being transported to a hospital. Looking back, the incident highlights an important lesson. No traffic violation is worth risking countless lives on a busy highway. A decision made in fear or panic can quickly grow into a situation with far-reaching consequences. Fortunately, officers were able to bring the pursuit to a safe conclusion before anyone else was harmed. >> All right, can we get Can we get those lanes open? Yeah, we we can't move this one. Uh if we can just push all that traffic over there. >> PISS ME OFF. >> ON FEBRUARY 6TH, 2024 at 9:28 a.m. in Lancaster, California, USA, deputies from the Lancaster Sheriff's Station responded to reports of a disturbance at a business on 20th Street West. Witnesses [music] reported that a man later identified as 38-year-old Jonathan Scott Foster was standing outside holding a machete. >> Set that down. Come on, man. You got the machete in your hand. Do me a favor, man. Set it down. At this point, you're not in trouble. I just need you to set it down so we can talk. You set yours down. It doesn't work that way, man. >> Deputies quickly arrived and discovered Foster carrying one machete in his hand and another attached to his waistband. Despite repeated commands to put the weapons down, he refused to cooperate. The situation became increasingly tense when he walked into the open business where customers were still inside. Officers attempted several less lethal options in an effort to safely resolve the encounter, but those efforts had little effect. >> COME ON. PUT YOUR HANDS UP. EVERYBODY BACK UP. BACK [screaming] UP. GET OUT OF THERE. YOU GOT IT. IT'S A THICK COAT, MAN. STOP. STOP. STOP. DUDE, we're going to have to Come ON, MAN. JUST STOP. IN THE CHEST. COME ON, MAN. STOP. STOP. >> Moments later, as officers continued trying to contain the situation, Foster suddenly moved toward deputy personnel while still armed. Faced with an immediate threat inside a crowded environment, deputies were forced to make a split-second [music] decision. In situations like this, just a few seconds can determine whether innocent people remain safe. >> Stop. Stop. >> Deputies immediately provided emergency aid and secured the scene. If Investigators later recovered two machetes, each about 24 inches long. No customers or responding officers were injured during the incident. Authorities also learned that earlier that day, Foster had been involved in another violent disturbance at a local gas station where an employee suffered a serious hand injury. The case serves as a reminder of how quickly a routine call can turn into a dangerous encounter and why officers must balance courage, restraint, and public safety under intense intense pressure. >> Don't move. >> On July 29th, 2024 at approximately 3:20 a.m. in Los Angeles, California, USA, officers from the West Los Angeles division responded to reports of a burglary suspect in the 2600 block of South Holm Avenue. According to witnesses, a man later identified as 31-year-old Lovell Adams had attempted to enter a residence before forcing his way into a neighboring home occupied by an elderly woman. >> I think I got somebody inside. You got a >> There's a woman in there. Looks like they're having sex in the bathroom right there. >> They're having what? >> They're having sex. >> The woman was forced to leave her home to seek safety. A short time later, [music] a fire broke out inside the residence. Firefighters responding to the scene also observed Adams still inside. Officers attempted to take him into custody, but he was reportedly armed with a knife and refused to follow commands. Even as officers tried to de-escalate the situation, tensions continued to rise. >> LAPD, open the door or we will kick it in. Don't move. Get your ASS OUT. FACE AWAY FROM ME. LET'S GO. NOW. >> As specialized SWAT officers established a perimeter around the property, Adam suddenly emerged from a side window concealed behind a blanket. >> Hey Matthew, show us your hands, man. >> Yep. >> Show us your hands, man. >> Hey bro, his hands are clear. >> Go and grab your vest. >> Stand off. Officers repeatedly instructed him to show his hands and comply. Instead, he reportedly revealed a large knife and rapidly moved toward the officers. In that critical moment, with only seconds to react, law enforcement had to make a decision aimed at protecting everyone nearby. >> If you don't drop that blanket, you're going to get hit. If you move, you're going to >> Emergency medical personnel immediately moved in and secured the scene. No officers, [music] firefighters, or community members were harmed during the incident. What began as a burglary call quickly evolved into a dangerous and unpredictable situation. Cases like this remind us that behind every emergency call are split-second decisions, uncertain outcomes, and officers working to keep their community safe under extraordinary pressure. >> GET ON THE GROUND. >> On April 15th, 2024, just before 2:00 p.m. in Columbus, Ohio, USA, officers were directing traffic near the Columbus Zoo after a traffic accident on State Route 750. What should have been a routine afternoon quickly became something far more complicated when a driver ignored instructions from law enforcement. >> Give me your driver's license. Give me your driver's license. I'm asking for your driver's license. HE'S GOT >> I ASKED >> HEY, WATCH OUT. DON'T LET him kill somebody. >> Hold on, guys. Hold on. >> Body >> cam footage later showed 36-year-old Joseph Sollinger driving toward an area filled with emergency vehicles and traffic officers. When approached by a deputy, Sollinger explained that he was trying to reach his wife and children. However, instead of cooperating, he drove away when asked to provide identif- Surprisingly, he later returned to the scene, but once again left when officers attempted to stop him. >> 125, we just had somebody about hit us. Multiple cars is out here. Start me another car. >> The pursuit came to an end when officers safely detained him after deploying a conducted energy device. >> GET ON THE GROUND. >> OKAY. >> GET ON THE GROUND. DO NOT MOVE. GET ON YOUR STOMACH NOW. >> OKAY, YEAH. >> GET ON YOUR STOMACH. >> I CAN'T MOVE, I SWEAR. >> DO NOT MOVE. GET ON THE GROUND. DO NOT MOVE. >> Sollinger was taken into custody and later faced multiple charges, including felony failure to comply, inducing panic, and driving under the influence. A bond of $25,000 was set and a court appearance was scheduled. The incident serves as a reminder that even when emotions take over, a single decision can dramatically change the course of a day and sometimes much more. Cooperation often leads to a far better outcome than trying to run from responsibility. >> But right now, I just need you to get back to me. >> Okay. Sit up. OKAY. I'M SORRY. ALL RIGHT. I'M GOING TO GO SIT OVER HERE. OKAY, that's fine, too. >> LET GO OF THEM. STOP. >> I AIN'T GOT NO WEAPON ON MY HEART. >> GET OUT. >> ON FEBRUARY 17TH, 2024, at approximately 1:00 p.m. in Los Angeles, California, USA, officers from the Wilshire Division were patrolling near San Vicente Boulevard and Fairfax Avenue when their license plate reader alerted them to a stolen vehicle. Behind the wheel was 21-year-old Ian Jimenez. What began as a routine patrol was about to take an unexpected turn. After confirming the vehicle status, officers requested backup. However, before additional units could arrive, Jimenez suddenly accelerated and sped away. The pursuit was quickly called off after the vehicle collided with another occupied car, leaving a community member with minor injuries. Jimenez then abandoned the vehicle and disappeared into a nearby residential neighborhood as officers established a perimeter around the area. >> Where did he go? Put the [ __ ] back here. Give me more south. >> Out way. 250, let me know when you're in position so I can start. What's Oh, [ __ ] >> K9 officers were called in to assist with the search. A short time later, Jimenez was located exiting the rear of a residence. During the encounter, he resisted efforts to surrender and managed to run once again. But with officers on the ground and aerial support tracking his movements, the search narrowed quickly. Sometimes the harder someone tries to escape responsibility, the more difficult the situation becomes. >> Turn around. Turn around. Turn around. Turn around. TURN AROUND. GO. GO. GO. GO. HE'S OVER THERE. >> APPROXIMATELY ONE BLOCK AWAY, a second K9 team successfully located and detained Jimenez. He was transported to a hospital for evaluation and treatment before being cleared for booking. No officers were injured during the incident. The case serves as another reminder that a single decision to flee can create unnecessary risks for everyone involved. While cooperation often prevents a situation from escalating beyond control.
